[0:58] through four give a little bit of a

[0:59] review reminder

[1:01] and then we'll dive into our section

[1:03] today the bible says

[1:05] in revelation 13 and i stood upon the

[1:07] sand of the sea

[1:08] and saw a beast rise up out of the sea

[1:10] having seven heads

[1:12] and ten horns and upon his horns ten

[1:15] crowns

[1:16] and upon his heads the name of blasphemy

[1:19] and the beast which i saw was likened to

[1:21] a leopard

[1:22] and his feet were as the feet of a bear

[1:24] and his mouth as the mouth of a lion

[1:26] and the dragon gave him his power and

[1:28] his seat

[1:29] and great authority now last

[1:33] time we were with you there we gave

[1:36] great detail

[1:37] about those first two verses in fact i

[1:39] think the video is close to

[1:41] over 20 minutes long so i encourage you

[2:18] which gave power unto the beast and they

[2:20] worshipped the beast

[2:22] saying who is likened to the beast who

[2:24] is able to make war with him

[2:27] now let's go back in verse 3 and let's

[2:30] break that section down

[2:32] john says he saw that one of his heads

[2:34] now remember as you look back in verses

[2:36] 1

[2:37] and verse 2 that there are seven heads

[2:40] there's that league of nations that has

[2:42] come together

[2:43] and this head that is talking about here

[2:46] in particular is

[2:47] the antichrist now in daniel it also

[2:50] talks about the horns

[2:52] and it talks about one rising up that

[2:54] had a mouth that speaketh

[2:56] and so we don't have time in this video

[2:58] to go back to that so i encourage it

[3:02] those things

[3:03] so this is the antichrist he's the head

[3:06] here

[3:06] and so this antichrist he has as

[3:10] it were a wound to death

[3:13] so apparently the antichrist is going to

[3:16] have a wound

[3:17] that appears to be fatal but we see in

[3:20] that verse

[3:21] that wound will be healed and so

[3:25] there are many different interpretations

[3:27] of this

[3:28] verse by different groups of people but

[3:31] the reality is is

[3:33] god has one interpretation and that's is

[3:35] his interpretation of it

[3:37] so i believe the bible here is teaching

[3:40] that it is a literal wound this is not a

[3:44] financial wound this is not a

[3:45] governmental wound

[3:47] this is not something that's affecting a

[3:49] kingdom and this kingdom's coming back

[3:51] reviving back it's not a bankruptcy it's

[3:54] not any of those things you can read a

[3:55] lot of different

[3:56] books and they'll give you a lot of

[3:57] different opinions you say well preacher

[4:00] why do you think you're right well i

[4:02] don't think i'm right i think the

[4:04] bible's right look at verse 14

[4:06] of the same chapter it says and

[4:08] deceiveth him that dwell on the earth by

[4:11] means of those

[4:12] miracles which he had the power to do in

[4:14] the sight of the beast

[4:16] saying to them that dwell on the earth

[4:18] that they should make an

[4:19] image to the beast watch this which had

[4:22] the wound

[4:23] by a sword and did live which had a

[4:28] wound by a sword

[4:30] and did live so apparently there is a

[4:33] wound that people can see

[4:36] and that it heals and so the bible

[4:39] describes it wounded by a sword

[4:42] now i don't know if it's a sword i

[4:44] believe it could be a sword it could be

[4:46] a dagger

[4:47] it could be a bullet wound it could be

[4:50] some other type of wound

[4:52] but i believe it to be more than likely

[4:54] a sword

[4:55] that he's stabbed with and that stabbing

[4:58] looks

[4:58] and appears to be fatal now you'll

[5:01] notice in verse 4

[5:03] the dragon gives him power unto the

[5:07] beast

[5:08] so satan is the dragon we talked about

[5:11] it the last time we're also talking

[5:12] about it this time

[5:13] the dragon is satan now satan does not

[5:17] have power to resurrect

[5:21] from the dead but in the gospels we find

[5:24] that jesus gave the power to the twelve

[5:27] disciples

[5:29] to raise people from the dead to heal

[5:32] the manner of sick who raised me with it

[5:34] now it's not recorded for us that all

[5:35] twelve disciples did that but god gave

[5:37] them the power

[5:39] remember the twelve disciples there were

[5:42] twelve disciples jesus called to help

[5:44] him you know the song

[5:45] simon peter andrew james his brother

[5:47] john philip thomas matthew

[5:49] james the son of alphaeus thaddeus simon

[5:53] judas and then

[5:56] bartholomew later on judas

[6:00] judas iscariot was one of the twelve

[6:03] judas iscariot was given power

[6:07] at that moment so you say but i thought

[6:09] judas was the bad guy preacher he was

[6:11] see the power is through the conduit

[6:15] the power really comes from jesus the

[6:17] power comes from god

[6:18] but it was given to those men at that

[6:21] time to do that

[6:22] so in our text here it could be that god

[6:24] allows

[6:25] this to happen for him to be appeared to

[6:29] be dead and

[6:30] raised from the dead it could be that

[6:32] god allows satan to have that

[6:34] moment where he receives the power to do

[6:38] this

[6:39] but ultimately there is this truth that

[6:41] is revealed

[6:42] satan is doing his best

[6:46] to present a false trinity

[6:50] he's doing his best to present that and

[6:54] the antichrist plays a role in that the

[6:56] dragon plays a role in that

[6:58] so the beast here we know is the

[7:00] antichrist

[7:02] the dragon satan has given him power and

[7:05] they want him to be worshipped they

[7:06] don't want god worship

[7:08] they don't want jesus christ worship and

[7:10] everything in the last few chapters have

[7:12] been centered around the nation of

[7:14] israel

[7:15] so they're doing everything they can to

[7:18] make

[7:18] god into a liar they're doing everything

[7:21] they can to disprove

[7:23] that jesus is the messiah so this

[7:27] period of time we know it to be in the

[7:29] middle the three and a half years in the

[7:31] middle

[7:32] of the tribulation period the seven year

[7:34] tribulation is in the

[7:36] middle of that because the bible

[7:37] describes for us that the dragon the

[7:39] beast

[7:40] is given power by the dragon for 42

[7:42] months three and a half years

[7:44] so here in our text as we're looking at

[7:47] it the dragon has given

[7:48] power and it gives that power to the

[7:50] beast and the antichrist and they begin

[7:52] to worship the beast

[7:54] they say who is able to make war with

[7:57] him

[7:58] look he was wounded and he's come back

[7:59] to life

[8:02] but our discussion here

[8:05] of these verses brings us to

[8:08] this subject matter that the antichrist

[8:12] is powerful but he's not all-powerful

[8:16] and the dragon is powerful but is not

[8:20] all powerful only god and jesus christ

[8:24] the holy spirit are

[8:24] all powerful three in one there

[8:30] but satan is not all-powerful we know in

[8:33] revelation chapter one that christ has

[8:34] the keys to death

[8:36] and hell he's got the power over death

[8:39] that's why satan doesn't have the power

[8:42] but we find here that these

[8:45] few verses help us know this that during

[8:48] the

[8:48] tribulation period the antichrist is

[8:50] going to be wounded

[8:52] that wound is going to appear to be

[8:53] fatal it's going to appear that

[8:55] he resurrected from the dead in other

[8:58] words we could say

[8:59] he's going to give the illusion that he

[9:02] can do that

[9:04] you remember how it looked like grandpa

[9:06] could pull a quarter out from behind

[9:08] your ear

[9:09] it looked like it but he didn't actually

[9:12] pull a quarter

[9:13] it was an illusion and satan is going to

[9:15] use the illusion

[9:17] of resurrecting the beast satan is going

[9:19] to use the illusion to

[9:22] give that he's got power and the world's

[9:25] going to buy it hook line and sinker

[9:27] and begin to worship the antichrist as

[9:29] god you'll be worshiping

[9:31] the devil the last three and a half

[9:33] years of the trail they're going to be

[9:34] openly worshiping satan and glorifying

[9:38] him

[9:39] but he's only got three and a half years

[9:42] at the end of the three and a half years

[9:44] his time will be over

[9:45] he'll be cast into the bottomless pit

[9:49] and the antichrist and the false prophet

[9:51] they'll be cast and eventually satan

[9:52] himself

[9:54] will be cast in the lake of fire when

[9:57] the bible says when he's castilated

[9:58] forever the beast and the false prophet

[10:00] are

[10:01] and the bible talks about us so shall we

[10:03] ever be

[10:04] with the lord i know there's a lot in

[10:07] these next few chapters as we dive into

[10:09] them and we're going to take our time

[10:10] we're not in any hurry

[10:12] we're going to take our time as we work

[10:14] through them but i want you to remember

[10:15] this the antichrist is going to give the

[10:17] illusion that he's powerful

[10:19] but he's not satan has

[10:22] given the illusion that he's more

[10:24] powerful than he really is

[10:26] but his power is limited only god has

[10:29] all

[10:30] power so today

[10:33] be encouraged god is stronger

[10:37] and more powerful than satan
