[0:17] revelation chapter number seven today

[0:21] so let's look at revelation 7 verse

[0:24] number one and after

[0:25] these things now i want to pause for

[0:28] just a minute for those of you that have

[0:30] been along in the series you know

[0:33] that we've been going through the sealed

[0:36] judgments of chapter 6.

[0:38] now chapter 7 is an interesting chapter

[0:42] because the details of chapter seven are

[0:46] not chronological

[0:48] with chapter six in other words

[0:51] we're not for certain what time frame

[0:54] this all covers

[0:56] so the material covered in chapter seven

[1:00] we know could be before the seven seals

[1:04] it could be in the middle of the seven

[1:05] seals but what's happening here is the

[1:08] marking of the hundred and forty four

[1:10] thousand

[1:11] that happens during the tribulation

[1:13] period we know that

[1:14] now we know that these happened at least

[1:18] at this point

[1:18] probably earlier in the tribulation

[1:22] period so

[1:23] this beginning so what's happened is

[1:25] there's been a change of scenery again

[1:28] john's perspective has been from heaven

[1:30] looking down

[1:31] and now his perspective is here on earth

[1:34] so he's getting a

[1:35] what's happening up here vision and now

[1:37] what's happening down here vision

[1:39] and so here in chapter 7 he says after

[1:42] these things i

[1:43] saw four angels standing on the four

[1:46] corners

[1:47] of the earth holding the four winds of

[1:50] the earth

[1:51] that the wind should not blow on the

[1:53] earth nor on the sea

[1:55] nor on any tree so there's these

[1:58] four corner winds north south east

[2:01] and west now it's interesting that you

[2:05] would hear it described this way

[2:07] because many of you would say well the

[2:08] earth is round so

[2:10] there's not really corners on a ball a

[2:13] sphere

[2:14] so what does that mean in dealing with

[2:16] the the wind

[2:17] also there's a central location

[2:20] i believe the bible is clearly teaching

[2:22] here that the nation of israel

[2:24] is the focus point here in jerusalem

[2:28] would be the focal point so the north of

[2:30] jerusalem the south the east and the

[2:32] west of it

[2:33] are surrounding jerusalem so jerusalem

[2:36] is the focal point

[2:37] because god's chosen people the nation

[2:39] of israel so he is

[2:41] focusing in on the nation of israel it's

[2:43] important to remember the church

[2:45] did not replace israel god has a special

[2:48] relationship

[2:49] with the people of israel and god has a

[2:51] special relationship to the church there

[2:53] are two different groups of people

[2:55] so here we find the four winds are

[2:57] holding back

[2:59] those four winds and verse three it said

[3:02] saying hurt not the earth so there's a

[3:04] voice let me go back verse 2

[3:06] and i saw another angel ascending from

[3:09] the east

[3:10] having the seal of the living god and he

[3:13] cried with a loud voice to the four

[3:15] angels

[3:16] to whom it was given to hurt the earth

[3:19] and the sea

[3:20] saying hurt not the earth neither the

[3:22] sea nor the trees

[3:24] till we have sealed the servants of god

[3:27] in their foreheads so there's this

[3:29] other angel a fifth one mentioned in

[3:32] this text

[3:33] whose job is to seal the 144

[3:36] 000 jewish witnesses now revelation 14

[3:40] tells us these are jewish males they're

[3:42] virgins they have not known a woman they

[3:45] are

[3:45] set aside for the purpose of spreading

[3:48] the gospel during the tribulation period

[3:52] and so the seal here now when the a king

[3:55] would seal something because god is the

[3:57] king of

[3:58] kings when he would seal something he'd

[4:00] place his ownership these

[4:02] evangelists these 144 thousand witnesses

[4:05] they belong to the lord

[4:07] not only do they belong to the lord but

[4:08] with their with his seal upon them

[4:10] they had the power and authority of god

[4:14] and so there's ownership involved

[4:16] there's power

[4:17] involved and so it continues on

[4:20] it says that until they were sealed

[4:23] they're not to hurt the trees

[4:25] nor the the winds here and so they're

[4:28] holding back

[4:29] judgment until the 144 thousand are set

[4:32] aside

[4:32] and from that that's where we get those

[4:35] first six seal judgments it may have

[4:37] been

[4:37] early on in the process that these are

[4:40] sealed

[4:41] and so now we find here it continues on

[4:44] in verse number four and i heard the

[4:48] number of them which were sealed

[4:49] and they were sealed in hundred and

[4:51] forty and four

[4:53] thousand of all the tribes of the

[4:55] children of israel

[4:57] of the tribe of judah were still twelve

[4:59] thousand

[5:00] of the tribe of reuben were sealed

[5:02] twelve thousand

[5:03] of the tribe of god were sealed twelve

[5:06] thousand

[5:06] of the tribe of asser were sealed twelve

[5:09] thousand

[5:10] of the tribe of naphthalene were sealed

[5:12] twelve thousand

[5:13] of the tribe of manassas were sealed

[5:15] twelve thousand

[5:16] of the tribe of simeon were sealed

[5:18] twelve thousand

[5:20] of the tribe of levi were sealed twelve

[5:23] thousand

[5:24] of the tribe of issachar were sealed

[5:26] twelve thousand

[5:27] of the tribe of zebulon were sealed

[5:30] twelve

[5:30] thousand of the tribe of joseph were

[5:34] sealed twelve thousand

[5:36] of the tribe of benjamin were sealed 12

[5:39] 000. now you may be looking and saying

[5:42] all right

[5:43] pastor i i see that there but i don't

[5:45] remember there being a tribe of joseph

[5:48] and that was because as you know joseph

[5:51] got the double blessing from his father

[5:53] and manasseh and ephraim were both set

[5:57] aside to be tribes of israel so he had

[5:59] manasseh

[6:00] and ephraim that were the bless they

[6:03] received the blessing of joseph

[6:04] receiving the double blessing

[6:06] joseph replaces ephraim now i don't have

[6:09] time to describe

[6:10] all of that because i'm not for certain

[6:13] all the reasons why but it does appear

[6:17] that ephraim left

[6:20] the leadership of god they followed

[6:23] after idols and so because of that

[6:26] god chose to replace them i don't know

[6:28] that for

[6:29] certainty but that's what many

[6:31] commentators

[6:32] believe also you'll notice the tribe of

[6:35] dan

[6:36] is not mentioned dan was the first into

[6:38] idolatry they forsook the lord

[6:41] now there are some who believe that the

[6:43] antichrist may have

[6:45] a bloodline into the tribe of dan i

[6:48] don't know that for

[6:49] certainty that is believed by many but i

[6:52] don't know that for a certainty but i'm

[6:55] mentioning that

[6:56] because that could be a reason why the

[6:58] tribe of dan or it could solely be

[7:00] because based upon their idolatry and

[7:02] they're

[7:03] turning away from god that god does not

[7:06] include them in this

[7:07] section now these are not the only

[7:10] jewish people that will be

[7:12] saved i want to make that clear these

[7:15] are jewish evangelists set aside to

[7:18] preach

[7:18] the gospel in our next video we're going

[7:21] to talk about the tribulation

[7:23] saints you'll discover them in this

[7:24] chapter and it also references them

[7:27] throughout the whole tribulation period

[7:29] so the next section we know is not

[7:31] doesn't just cover right at this moment

[7:34] but also throughout the tribulation

[7:36] period

[7:37] now the 144 000 they're sealed by god

[7:41] his name is in their forehead and

[7:43] they've got a

[7:44] great power that is placed upon them and

[7:47] they will

[7:48] continue through the tribulation period

[7:52] unharmed now there may be persecution

[7:54] but they'll

[7:55] be unharmed through the tribulation

[7:57] period we find that the

[7:59] judgments that happen with the trumpet

[8:02] judgments that they are

[8:04] protected through that the bible tells

[8:06] us that and when we get to the trumpet

[8:07] judgments

[8:08] we'll talk about those things but today

[8:11] i want to

[8:12] show you through this revelation chapter

[8:15] 7

[8:15] this important statement that god is not

[8:19] through with the nation of israel

[8:21] god is working through israel and during

[8:23] the tribulation period it's all focused

[8:25] around

[8:26] the nation of israel and these witnesses

[8:29] are proclaiming the truth

[8:30] there will be many many many people

[8:34] who believe on jesus christ to be their

[8:37] savior

[8:38] during the tribulation period who have

[8:40] not heard

[8:42] the gospel now if you were with us a few

[8:44] videos ago we explained

[8:46] what happens to those that have heard

[8:49] and have rejected christ

[8:51] during the time before the period of the

[8:54] rapture of the church

[8:56] and the tribulation period but this

[8:58] video we're talking about these 144 000

[9:01] witnesses

[9:02] so yes even though the antichrist and

[9:04] his machine of people

[9:06] and their desire to take over

[9:09] will cause havoc upon the land

[9:12] god and his mercy and grace will be

[9:15] extended

[9:16] through the witness of the 144 thousand

[9:19] through the

[9:20] two witnesses that we'll talk about

[9:22] later on it'll be amazing to

[9:24] see how god works you know it's always

[9:27] amazing as i think about it today how

[9:30] god

[9:31] works here in the united states of

[9:33] america today on

[9:35] november the 4th we we're having a day

[9:38] after

[9:39] the election election still continuing

[9:41] and

[9:42] you may be here watching this video this

[9:44] morning and

[9:45] concerned about the election and what's

[9:48] going to happen

[9:49] and who's going to win and whether your

[9:51] person's going to win or someone the

[9:53] other person's going to win

[9:54] and you know it can cause some anxiety

[9:57] and fear

[9:58] it can be overwhelming at times

[10:01] and you could be living a life

[10:05] filled with fear the bible tells us that

[10:06] god has not given us the spirit of fear

[10:09] but of power and of love and of a sound

[10:12] mind

[10:13] so right thinking comes by keeping your

[10:17] thought life

[10:18] correct and thinking about the things of

[10:21] the lord

[10:22] so this morning i thank you for stopping

[10:37] the next thing on god's prophetic

[10:38] calendar is the rapture

[10:47] are you 100 sure if the rapture happened

[10:52] that you'd be caught up in the clouds to

[10:54] meet the lord in the air

[12:11] all are about our troubles and he will

[12:34] and your frustrations because he knows
