[0:00] of Nashville. Back at 6

[0:05] >> on World News Tonight this Tuesday, a

[0:07] wave of demonstrations similar to this

[0:09] one around the world today. They all

[0:12] involve one man, a hero to some and a

[0:15] terrorist to others. In the United

[0:17] States, almost every day for 6 months,

[0:19] someone has threatened to use a

[0:20] biological weapon. How serious is this?

[0:25] What the supercomput can do for your

[0:27] local weather forecast. We'll take a

[0:29] closer look and forget about a midlife

[0:32] crisis. A new study says Americans 40 to

[0:35] 60 are having the time of their lives.

[0:44] From ABC News World Headquarters in New

[0:47] York, this is World News Tonight with

[0:50] Peter Jennings.

[0:51] >> Good evening. The best way to describe

[0:53] the impact of our lead story tonight is

[0:55] to show you the map of Europe. Every

[0:57] place you see a white circle today,

[0:59] there was a demonstration or a political

[1:01] action today. And very often violence

[1:04] was a factor because a man named

[1:06] Abdullah Ojalan has been arrested and

[1:09] taken back to Turkey where he faces the

[1:11] death sentence because of the war he has

[1:13] waged against the Turks. Ojalan is

[1:15] Kurdish and he has fought for years to

[1:17] win a Kurdish homeland in the Kurdish

[1:19] part of Turkey. As far as the Turkish

[1:21] government is concerned, he's a

[1:23] terrorist. And what has made tur Kurds

[1:25] even angrier today is the cooperation

[1:27] that Turkey apparently got from the

[1:29] Greeks in picking him up. Here's ABC's

[1:32] Mike Lee.

[1:35] Dutch police fought with Kurdish

[1:37] demonstrators outside the Greek

[1:39] ambassador's residence.

[1:41] Inside, other Kurds were holding several

[1:43] diplomats hostage.
