[0:12] kronite good evening the Senate panel is

[0:14] questioning President Carter's charge

[0:17] that Cuba was involved in the recent

[0:19] Rebel invasion of Z shaba Province the

[0:21] Foreign Relations Committee says it

[0:23] wants to see the evidence Phil Jones has

[0:26] the

[0:30] the senate floor today Majority Leader

[0:31] Robert bird charged that policies

[0:33] formulated in Moscow and Havana resulted

[1:16] telling the truth I don't want to say

[1:18] that I'm skeptical of what the

[1:20] president's saying I I recognize a

[1:23] contradiction when I see it and uh I

[1:26] think it's a fair request to ask for the

[1:28] evidence Secretary of State Vance was

[1:30] asked today for information to support

[1:32] the president's charges but during and

[1:34] after the meeting he was eager to pass

[1:36] the committee's questions on to the CIA

[1:39] I
