[0:01] The big rattle in Seattle.
[0:05] A strong earthquake strikes the Pacific
[0:08] Northwest.
[0:09] It felt like the whole building was
[0:10] rocking, the floors were shaking, the
[0:12] stairwell was coming apart.
[0:14] The very latest on injuries and damage

[1:16] as Vancouver, Canada and down south to
[1:19] Portland, Oregon.
[1:20] Remarkably, so far no one is reported to
[1:23] been killed by the quake. CBS News
[1:26] correspondent Sandra Hughes begins our
[1:28] coverage.
[1:30] Ladies and gentlemen,
[1:32] Lights exploded and crashed to the floor
[1:34] while Microsoft employees scrambled for
[1:37] cover. Bill Gates' presentation in a
[1:39] downtown Seattle hotel came to an abrupt
[1:42] halt as a 6.8 earthquake ripped through
[1:45] downtown. Panic was widespread.
[1:50] It felt like the whole building was
[1:51] rocking, the floors were shaking,
