[0:38] children watch. Is it a good idea? We'll

[1:09] there is much to be thankful for. For

[1:12] more than 8 years now, the harvest has

[1:14] been bountiful. On this last

[1:15] Thanksgiving of the millennium, the

[1:17] nation is remarkably prosperous. But

[1:20] there are also real problems of poverty

[1:22] in many parts of the country. We start

[1:24] tonight with ABC's Kevin Newman.

[1:31] gather. Whether it was on the sunny

[1:33] sidewalks of Chicago to watch the parade

[1:38] or marching in step as part of another

[1:40] one in Detroit, where the clowns got a

[1:43] little too close.

[1:46] >> In New York, the rain and chill made

[1:48] huddling together a necessity. Thousands

[1:51] watched the annual Macy's parade. Amble

[1:53] past Time Square. Thousands more
