[0:02] CBS News coverage of the Democratic
[0:05] National Convention continues. Here
[0:07] again is Katie Kurrick.
[0:10] Hi everyone and welcome to our live
[0:13] webcast from CBS News, which is great to
[0:16] have tonight because we didn't have too
[0:18] much time to basically uh dissect Barack
[0:21] Obama's acceptance speech. As you can
[0:24] see, the stage is still filled with the
[0:27] families of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
[0:30] Apparently, uh the children of both
[0:32] families have become fast friends. Sasha
[0:35] and Malia having slumber parties with
[0:36] Joe Biden's grandchildren.

[1:12] Americans, Katie, and I think you would
[1:14] agree with their lives revolve around
[1:16] their children. Their whole reason for
[1:19] their lives is to make their sure their
[1:21] kids have a better place than maybe they
[1:23] had. He talked about
[1:24] >> this, by the way, is the first
[1:25] generation coming up that may not do as
[1:28] well as their parents.
[1:29] >> Well, exactly. But he said, you know, he
[1:30] said his wife Andy said he himself got
[1:33] to where he was. They got there because
[1:36] of education. And he sa
