[0:08] >> They are caught in a senseless war in

[0:10] what was Yugoslavia.

[0:13] >> Millions of them without a home, without

[0:15] a country, and Americans want to help.

[0:18] >> We're constantly receiving inquiries

[0:21] from Americans who are willing to open

[0:22] their homes and their hearts and their

[0:24] wallets to help people fling this

[0:26] conflict.

[0:26] >> But they've hit a wall. People who were

[1:13] breathe free. But the reality is

[1:16] somewhat different. There's the matter

[1:17] of quotas inscribed in our immigration

[1:19] laws. There's the matter of foreign

[1:21] policy considerations. There's the

[1:22] matter of money and space and so forth.

[1:25] Much of the world is horrified just now

[1:27] by the brutal attack on humanity going

[1:29] on in Bosnia and Herzukovina. There are

[1:32] approximately 2 million refugees now at

[1:35] large as a result of the savagery there.

[1:38] Germany has taken in 250,000 refugees

[1:41] from the former Yugoslavia. Sweden has

[1:43] taken in 75,000.

[1:45] To date, the United States has taken in

[1:48] none. Night
