[31:43] to have more

[31:44] faith no what manner of man is this even

[31:46] the wind and the Sea obey him they

[31:48] missed the application to the message

[31:51] they were focused on the

[31:55] Miracle sometimes in our life we go

[31:57] through the same sit situation over and

[31:58] over and over and over and over and over

[32:00] and over and over and over and Jesus

[32:03] shows up and answers and he heals and he

[32:06] does amazing things over and over and

[32:08] over again you're like why do I have to

[32:09] keep repeating the same lesson why do I

[32:12] have to keep going why does this keep

[32:13] happening to me it's because you're

[32:14] missing the application of the

[32:17] message you're missing what he's trying

[32:19] to teach

[32:22] you sometimes growth life situations in

[32:27] life that that happened over and over

[32:29] and over and over and over again is

[32:32] because you're trying to teach you to

[32:34] apply what you've heard apply what you

[32:37] read apply what you know so you can live

[32:40] your life the way that I want you to

[32:43] it but we don't catch

[32:52] application opportunities to apply what

[40:18] the community it's little town kind of

[40:19] in the foothills of Pennsylvania

[40:21] everything kind of runs into this

[40:24] town wow Lord Is this where you want us

[40:26] to go

[40:28] looking at the opportunities there

[40:30] talking to the pastor and his wife that

[40:31] are there praying by they set up a day

[40:33] hey we want you to come on such and such

[40:35] a date he calls me a week later a week

[40:37] before that date says hey I messed it

[40:41] up I split the church there's only about

[40:43] 10 people left we can't even afford to

[40:45] pay for your gas to come out

[40:47] here okay the excitement

[40:53] went my pastor says you know you're

[40:55] going to Pastor someday I said yes I

[40:57] know

[40:58] that that was in

[41:01] March those of you that know the rest of

[41:03] the story we didn't get a

[41:06] call we didn't get any notification of

[41:09] any other church I'm not to send out a

[41:12] blanket resume send my resume to every

[41:14] church on Sunday I prayed and asked God

[41:16] God where would you have me to go what

[41:17] would you have me to do send me to

[41:18] church you want me to go to don't send

[41:19] me anywhere

[41:22] else November end of November

[41:25] 2015 got a phone call

[41:27] hey there's this church in Arena you

[41:30] ought to pray

[41:33] about didn't know you guys were praying

[41:35] about pastor at the same

[41:38] time well listen those those months in

[41:41] between March and November that was a

[41:43] trying

[41:47] time

[41:49] November December we came tried to

[41:52] preach had an ice storm you guys know

[41:54] the story January we we go back home in

[41:57] December and my pastor and I had had

[41:59] multiple conversations of we're going to

[42:01] take care of you until God moves

[42:04] you the church had got into a position

[42:06] that they said we can't do that

[42:09] anymore so they said here's your month

[42:14] notice so when we came here to preach we

[42:17] were on the second week of our one

[42:20] month package of sance

[42:23] SP but again I didn't want to make a

[42:26] decision

[42:27] I'd already had applications ready to go

[42:29] work a job if I needed

[42:31] to and take care of my

[42:35] family we came and God got listen the

[42:38] the storm the wind the

[42:42] waves it was all a testing of the faith

[42:44] to say not yet not yet not

[42:47] yet now Now's the Time now's the

[42:52] place see the application of Faith

[42:56] happens

[42:57] when God makes other side

[42:59] declarations and then you go through a

[43:01] period of waiting or a period of

[43:05] storm

[43:07] sometimes the other side declaration

[43:10] comes not just for

[43:13] you but for people that are in the other

[43:16] ships not talking about brother Steve

[43:18] and his family the other ships The

[43:22] Little

[43:24] Ships because guess what happened to the

[43:26] other little ship sh they were in the

[43:28] same

[43:30] storm but they saw Jesus say peace be

[43:33] still outside their boat not in their

[43:36] boat and they got to see the disciples

[43:39] and how they responded to the storm and

[43:42] more than likely they probably heard

[43:43] Jesus say why have you no

[43:49] faith sometimes God allow

[43:52] storms teachable application moments in

[43:55] your life not just just for you but the

[43:58] other people that are around you to see

[44:01] how you'll respond to the

[44:05] storm why so he can grow your faith and

[44:09] he can grow their faith by the exercise

[44:13] of your

[44:15] faith how your faith grows in the storm

[44:19] helps others to see your faith in the

[44:23] storm so sometimes it's the other little

[44:30] but when you're going through

[44:31] application moments of Faith teaching

[44:35] the difficult the hard ones don't

[44:39] question the care of the

[44:42] savior he carth for

[44:46] you the disciple said dust thou not care

[44:50] dust thou not

[44:52] care and we probably wouldn't say it out

[44:56] loud

[44:57] L Jesus don't you

[45:00] care sometimes

[45:05] in we get filled up with our

[45:09] feelings and our feelings overtake our

[45:13] faith I mentioned it this morning Adrien

[45:16] Roger said fear is the greatest crippler

[45:17] in all of history I believe the second

[45:20] one is

[45:21] feelings because feelings will

[45:24] your faith

[45:28] feelings will do

[45:30] that I've had moments in my life where

[45:32] I'm trying to live by faith and my

[45:34] feelings getting

[45:37] away and my feelings can start

[45:40] stifling my faith choking it

[45:44] out and if you're not careful you let

[45:47] your

[45:48] feelings because they ask Jesus do you

[45:50] don't you

[45:53] care sometimes you'll let your feelings

[45:55] choke out what God trying to do in

[45:57] increasing your

[46:00] faith so what do I do guard your

[46:05] heart for out of it are the issues of

[46:07] life every issue of life is an issue of

[46:09] the heart so guard

[46:13] it well I can feel however I want to

[46:15] feel that's true you have Liberty but

[46:18] you also have

[46:21] responsibility if your feelings overtake

[46:23] your faith and you leech out your

[46:26] feeling feelings in Wrath and anger and

[46:29] frustration and you're not living a life

[46:31] of

[46:32] Faith you're going to begin to question

[46:35] God so

[46:37] tonight I don't know what God's doing in

[46:41] your season of life right

[46:44] now but I do believe that God has some

[46:49] people in some storm

[46:53] situations to application

[46:57] the teaching of Faith he's been trying

[46:59] to do in your

[47:00] life and if you find yourself having

[47:03] repeated cycles of the same thing over

[47:07] and over and over and over and over you

[47:11] might want to evaluate am I missing

[47:14] something here

[47:16] God is there a lesson to be learned is

[47:20] there a promise to claim is there a

[47:23] blessing to

[47:24] enjoy is there a sin

[47:27] to

[47:28] avoid I ought to take evaluation why is

[47:31] this happening again well maybe you

[47:35] haven't learned the application that

[47:38] he's trying to give you through the

[47:39] teaching on your

[47:43] faith

[47:45] now disciples struggled with no faith

[47:49] who were expounded and taught by God so

[47:51] if the disciples can struggle having no

[47:53] faith even though Jesus himself taught

[47:55] them about faith and expounded unto them

[47:57] all things in verse 34 you and I as

[48:00] Believers today who don't have Jesus

[48:03] sitting next to us in a boat teaching us

[48:05] about faith could probably have moments

[48:08] where we struggle with

[48:14] faith parents sometimes your faith

[48:17] struggle the application of your faith

[48:20] teaching is for the other little ships

[48:22] in your family who are watching

[48:24] you see how mommy and daddy will respond

[48:28] in those

[48:31] moments everyone can struggle with faith

[48:34] because we need to grow in our faith

[48:39] Hebrews chapter

[48:41] 11 talks to us about

[48:45] faith we don't have time tonight to look

[48:47] at the whole entire

[48:54] chapter verse six says but without faith

[48:57] it is impossible to please him for he

[49:00] that cometh to God must believe that he

[49:03] is and that he is a rewarder of them

[49:06] that

[49:08] diligently seek

[49:13] Him Do You diligently seek God in storm

[49:19] applications of Faith

[49:22] teaching or are you looking for God to

[49:25] say peace be

[49:27] still when you're in a storm are you

[49:31] saying God get me

[49:33] out or God help me

[49:37] through are you crying God say

[49:42] peace or

[49:45] God be the peace that I

[49:51] need without faith is it impossible to

[49:54] please them

[49:57] by faith Noah verse 7 Hebrews 11 by

[50:01] faith Noah being warned of God things

[50:04] not as yet seen moved with fear prepared

[50:07] an ark to the saving of his house house

[50:10] by which he condemned the world and

[50:13] became heir of the righteousness which

[50:15] is by faith do you think that

[50:17] application of his faith of building an

[50:19] ark was uh like an easy

[50:23] task it wasn't easy building an arc

[50:28] 100 plus years of building an

[50:30] ark preaching to the lost people about

[50:33] the ark and getting in and trusting God

[50:36] in not one convert for a hundred

[50:41] years hard work building the

[50:44] ark but by faith he' never seen

[50:48] rain but God said it was going to

[50:52] rain well that's Noah what about Abraham

[50:55] by faith Abraham when he was called

[50:56] called to go into a place where he

[50:57] should after receive an inheritance

[51:00] obeyed and he went out not knowing

[51:03] whether he

[51:04] went where you going Abraham I don't

[51:07] know but God said

[51:13] God said go so where are you going uh

[51:29] he looked for a city which hath

[51:30] Foundation whose Builder and maker is

[51:33] God now that wasn't enough there's more

[51:36] to the story through faith also Sarah

[51:38] herself received strength to conceive

[51:40] seed and was delivered a child when she

[51:42] was past age because she judged him

[51:44] faithful who had

[51:47] promise so we got we got Abraham and

[51:50] Sarah by Faith by

[51:54] faith that wasn't easy to leave your

[51:56] home home that wasn't easy to sojourn in

[51:58] a land that wasn't easy I guess he had

[52:00] to have an application that was somewhat

[52:02] difficult to the teaching of Faith well

[52:04] let's go to verse 20 by faith Isaac

[52:06] blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things

[52:08] to come by faith Jacob when he was dying

[52:11] blessed both the sons of Joseph and

[52:13] worshiped leaning upon the top of his

[52:15] staff by faith

[52:17] Joseph let's just stop about Jacob for a

[52:20] minute Jacob was his life easy to live

[52:24] by

[52:25] faith no

[52:29] when when God allowed his son

[52:32] Joseph to be sold into slavery and he

[52:35] thought he was dead for years and God

[52:38] never revealed that Joseph was alive was

[52:41] that easy

[52:44] no but by faith by faith

[52:48] Joseph he lived a Life by Faith by Mo

[52:51] Moses when he was born he had three

[52:54] months of his parents because they saw

[52:56] he was a proper child and they were not

[52:58] afraid of the king's commandment by

[52:59] faith Moses when he was come to years

[53:01] refused to be called the son of

[53:03] Pharaoh's daughter you think that Act of

[53:05] Faith took a was

[53:07] easy it's

[53:09] difficult we can go through Hebrews 11

[53:11] and look at person after person it

[53:13] wasn't

[53:15] easy Faith doesn't come

[53:19] easy but it grows through

[53:23] application testing moments

[53:28] one writer put it this way a faith that

[53:29] cannot be tested is a faith that cannot

[53:32] be

[53:33] trusted so what is God teaching you

[53:37] through the storm that he's got you

[53:39] in and how you going to come out if you

[53:43] have no

[53:47] faith people who struggle with

[53:50] faith

[53:52] often have repeat lessons to learn how

[53:58] to live by

[54:01] faith people who struggle often living

[54:05] by faith often have repeat lessons to

[54:09] live by

[54:12] faith the

[54:15] disciples Jesus taught them through

[54:17] Parables he taught them about faith he

[54:20] expounded unto them all things I'm

[54:22] pretty confident they understood what he

[54:25] was teaching

[54:27] they just didn't learn how to apply

[54:31] it it's kind of like where the Bible

[54:34] says be ye not just hearers of the word

[54:38] but

[54:40] doers

[54:42] also a hearer hears what God says reads

[54:47] What God

[54:48] Says and then closes the

[54:52] book a doer hears what God says reads to

[54:56] What God Says and

[54:59] responds to what God has

[55:03] said a hearer is one who attends a

[55:06] church

[55:07] service hears the preaching of the word

[55:09] of God says amen during the

[55:11] message and then when the invitation is

[55:14] given says it's almost over

[55:18] now a doer is the one who attended the

[55:20] same service heard the same message said

[55:23] amen in this service got to the

[55:25] invitation said it's just beginning

[55:30] now it's just

[55:32] beginning CU I just take what I heard

[55:36] and I do with it what God wants me to do

[55:38] with it and now it

[55:41] starts you are

[55:44] accountable for what God has taught

[55:47] you so you should live a

[55:50] life pleasing to

[55:53] God and a doer of the

[55:57] word so what do you know what God wants

[55:59] you to

[56:00] do but you're

[56:03] struggling in the application of it

[56:06] because of the season of waiting the

[56:08] storm in your life tonight you need to

[56:11] give it to

[56:13] God say Lord I'm here teach me show me

[56:19] grow me enhance my faith I want to live

[56:25] by faith

[56:27] in you and in you alone would you stand

[56:31] together with your heads bowed and eyes

[56:36] closed living a life of

[56:39] faith is not just head knowledge there

[56:44] must be

[56:46] application to the teaching of God's

[56:49] word about

[56:52] faith tonight with your heads bowed and

[56:54] eyes go say Pastor would you pray for me

[56:56] I feel that God is trying to teach me

[56:58] something and I want to catch it I don't

[57:01] want to miss what God's trying to teach

[57:02] me but right now my life I'm in a season

[57:05] that God's teaching me something Pastor

[57:07] would you pray for me that you just slip

[62:48] Judy's doing really good up in Michigan

[62:57] having more radiation this week he got

[62:59] some tests I believe tomorrow as well so

[63:02] be in prayer for her but we're so glad
