[9:53] tonight thankful that you made it to

[9:56] church and I hope and pray you brought

[9:59] your Bible tonight because it is

[10:00] Wednesday night bible study night so

[10:02] we're going to do some studying of the

[10:04] word tonight so Judges chapter 2 and

[10:07] we're going to begin reading in verse

[10:08] number six and read down through verse

[10:11] number 15 of Judges chapter number

[10:15] two so as you get to your place there

[10:17] we'll also be going to Joshua 24 later

[10:21] on in the message as well Judges chapter

[10:24] 2 and verse number six the Bible says

[10:26] and when Joshua had let the people go

[10:29] the the children of Israel went every

[10:31] man into his inheritance to possess the

[10:34] land the people served the Lord all the

[10:36] days of Joshua and all the days of the

[10:39] elders that outlived Joshua who had seen

[10:43] all the great works of the Lord that he

[10:46] did for Israel and Joshua the son of nun

[10:49] the servant of the Lord died being 110

[10:53] years old they buried him in the border

[10:55] of his inheritance in Timnath Perez in

[10:59] the Mount of Ephraim on the north side

[11:01] of the hill of gosh and also all that

[11:04] generation were gathered unto their

[11:07] fathers there arose another generation

[12:17] gathered into their fathers and There

[12:19] Rose another generation after them which

[12:21] knew not the Lord nor yet The Works

[12:25] which he had done for Israel turn over

[12:27] to Joshua 24

[12:48] after these things Joshua the son of

[12:50] none the servant of the Lord died being

[12:52] 110 years old they buried him in the

[14:04] was a generation that was under the age

[14:06] of 20 when they left

[14:10] Egypt the Wilderness wanderings took

[14:13] them 40 years but there was a generation

[14:15] under the age of 20 in Exodus

[14:18] 12:37 it tells us that there were

[14:21] 600,000 men of fighting age that came

[14:24] out besides women and children it's

[14:26] believed to be two million people left

[14:29] Egypt to the go to the promised land

[14:32] besides the mixed multitude so you have

[14:36] the Israelite people and then a couple

[14:38] verses down it says and there was a

[14:39] mixed multitude of people as well so

[14:43] that

[14:44] generation that he's talking about that

[14:49] dies saw some

[14:51] things experiened some

[14:55] things but didn't pass it

[14:57] on so tonight we're going to preach a

[15:01] message entitled how not to be that

[15:06] generation whichever generation you fall

[15:09] in how not to be that generation let's

[15:13] go Lord in prayer tonight dear heavenly

[15:15] father Lord I Thank you for the

[15:16] opportunity to preach your word tonight

[15:18] would I pray if you would please cleanse

[15:20] me of sin and empty me of myself that I

[15:22] might get out of the way tonight and

[15:24] your word may go forth Lord I pray that

[15:25] you'd speak to our hearts challenge us

[15:28] from your word in your name I pray

[15:31] amen the nation of Israel had gone down

[15:36] with Jacob the N israels named after him

[15:40] his name was changed to Israel him and

[15:42] his sons and their families traveled

[15:44] down during the time of

[15:46] Joseph they come into the land of Egypt

[15:49] and they stay there they're there for

[15:51] 430 years and then there God raises up

[15:55] Moses and he brings the nation out and

[15:58] two 2 million roughly two million is the

[16:00] estimate 600,000 men of fighting age

[16:03] those are 20 and above besides children

[16:06] besides women so we estimated there

[16:08] about two million people

[16:11] leaving it's a lot of people and a mixed

[16:14] multitude of people as well it says

[16:17] that's I believe it's verse 39 of Exodus

[16:19] chapter 12 so that group of people leave

[16:23] and they exit out of there but in that

[16:27] group of people is a generation

[16:30] of children and those 20 years age and

[16:34] younger that when they first arrived to

[16:37] the promised land because of their

[16:39] unbelief God has them wander in the

[16:42] wilderness for 40

[16:44] years till that generation that had

[16:47] unbelief in the wilderness

[16:50] died so in that generation there are two

[16:54] that we the Bible mentions Caleb and

[16:57] Joshua they were 40 years of age when

[17:00] they began they're 80 when they enter

[17:02] into the promised land they're in the

[17:04] promised land Joshua is until the age of

[17:06] 110 so he's got 30 years that he's in

[17:08] the promised land and he's doing what

[17:10] God wants him to do Leading the

[17:12] People and Joshua gets concerned because

[17:16] the people are not following after God

[17:19] like they

[17:20] should and so he has a conversation with

[17:23] them in the fact the chapter 23 24 and

[17:27] even in judges chap chap two will make

[17:29] mention of it is that the Lord is

[17:32] displeased with the nation of Israel and

[17:34] so he instructs Joshua some things to

[17:37] challenge them on and then he and the

[17:40] angel of the Lord in fact let's go back

[17:42] to Judges chapter 2 I just want to read

[17:44] this to you don't have time to preach on

[17:46] all of it tonight but Judges chapter 2

[17:48] verse number one if you're there say

[17:50] amen and the angel of the Lord came up

[17:54] from gilgal to bokeum all right so I

[17:56] want you to pay attention there

[17:58] sometimes we'll read read over something

[17:59] and we we'll miss it so the angel of the

[18:02] Lord

[18:04] came the actual physical

[18:08] representation for God right in front of

[18:12] him the angel of the Lord came up from

[18:14] gilgal of pookum and said I made you to

[18:18] go up out of Egypt and have brought you

[18:20] unto the land which I swear un your

[18:23] fathers and I have said and I said I

[18:25] will never break my Covenant with you so

[18:28] is that an Angel like Gabriel or Michael

[18:32] talking or is that God himself talking

[18:36] it's God himself we call it a

[18:38] christophany in the Bible it's Jesus

[18:41] before he was born of the Virgin Mary in

[18:42] the Old Testament many times the angel

[18:44] of the Lord refers to that so Jesus

[18:46] himself is standing before the people

[18:49] and he's challenging them about their

[18:52] relationship with God at verse two and

[18:55] he shall make no League you shall make

[18:57] no league with the inhabitant into this

[18:59] land you shall throw down their

[19:01] altars but ye have not obeyed my voice

[19:05] why have you done this isn't that

[19:07] pretty

[19:09] thought-provoking when God himself

[19:12] looked at you and said why have you done

[19:15] this can you imagine you're living in

[19:19] sin and God himself shows up in your

[19:22] living room and says why have you done

[19:27] this you you would think that would

[19:29] motivate somebody to say I'm sorry Lord

[19:33] I won't do it anymore look at verse

[19:35] three wherefore I also said I will not

[19:38] drive them out from before you uhoh but

[19:41] they shall be as thorns in your sides

[19:44] and their God shall be a snare unto you

[19:47] God said I was going to drive them all

[19:49] out but because of your Disobedience

[19:52] they're

[19:53] staying and they're going to be thorns

[19:55] in your side and their false gods are

[19:58] going to be snare unto you verse four

[20:01] and it came to pass when the angel of

[20:03] the Lord spake these words unto the

[20:04] children of Israel that all the people

[20:06] lifted up their voice and

[20:09] wept they should have they should have

[20:13] wept verse number five and they called

[20:15] the name of the place bam and they

[20:17] sacrificed there unto the Lord bochum

[20:21] means weeping or

[20:23] weepers so it's the place where they

[20:25] wept because of their Disobedience to to

[20:28] God and God said I'm not driving out the

[20:31] people and in fact if you study the book

[20:34] they you find out they tried to do that

[20:36] but they had no success why because

[20:38] God's hand was off it's hard to do what

[20:42] God wants you to do without God's hand

[20:44] on

[20:45] you so their hands are off so we get to

[20:49] Judges chapter 2 verse 6 was where we

[20:52] started our message out tonight and

[20:54] Joshua lets them go into their

[20:56] inheritance Joshua dies and we pick up

[20:59] in verse 10 and there also that

[21:01] generation were gathered unto their

[21:03] fathers and there arose another

[21:05] generation after them which knew not the

[21:07] Lord nor yet The Works which he had done

[21:09] for in Israel so back to our Wilderness

[21:12] wanderings they came out of Egypt those

[21:14] 20 years of age and younger came out of

[21:17] Egypt so some of the kids some of the

[21:20] teenagers all the way up to the age of

[21:22] 20 came out of

[21:26] Egypt and that gener eration that came

[21:29] out of Egypt now they're 20 years old

[21:33] and

[21:34] younger Joshua he's

[21:38] 40 they're in their 20s so 20 and

[21:42] younger he's 40 so those that were

[21:46] 1920 when Joshua was 40 are part of that

[21:49] generation so when Joshua dies at 110

[21:53] this generation this generation that

[21:56] goes off the scene this gen generation

[21:59] that goes off and does not have a

[22:00] generation after them that follows after

[22:02] the lord they're 90 to 70 years old when

[22:07] Joshua dies 90 to 70 years

[22:12] old what we just read that a generation

[22:16] passed off the scene and there was

[22:17] another generation after them that knew

[22:20] not the Lord we're not talking about 20

[22:22] and 30 year old people we're talking

[22:25] about people who are 90 to 70 years old

[22:28] who didn't talk about God who didn't

[22:31] talk about the things that God had done

[22:33] so I want to just look at verse 10 and

[22:35] remind us of a few things and pay

[22:38] attention to it all right so it says in

[22:41] verse 10 they knew not the

[22:44] Lord nor yet The Works which he had done

[22:48] for Israel so the Next Generation knew

[22:51] not the

[22:54] Lord so the 7060 n down to the

[23:00] kids knew not the

[23:02] Lord don't you think about that we're

[23:06] not talking like the teenagers only

[23:08] didn't know the Lord we're talking about

[23:10] grown

[23:11] adults whose parents are in their 70s to

[23:15] 90s knew not the

[23:18] Lord does that puzzle

[23:21] you it puzzles me now here's some

[23:24] reasons why it's puzzling to me that

[23:27] generation that generation which came

[23:30] out those that were 20 years old and

[23:32] younger that came through the Wilderness

[23:34] wanderings that entered into the

[23:36] promised land there's some things that

[23:39] they had seen that God had done now I

[23:42] want you to notice verse 10 they knew

[23:43] not the Lord LD it's all capital letters

[23:46] it references the name Jehovah

[23:49] God why are we emphasizing that well

[23:51] we're going to get to it here in just a

[23:53] moment in

[23:56] fact go to Joshua 24 I got to read you a

[23:59] portion of

[24:05] scripture Joshua gathers them all

[24:07] together verse one the tribes of Israel

[24:09] to shech called for the Elders of Israel

[24:11] called for the heads called for their

[24:12] judges and for their officers and they

[24:14] presented themselves before God that's

[24:16] that generation and all the other Nation

[24:19] so the whole nation has gathered he's

[24:21] talking to that generation of Elders and

[24:23] leaders Joshua said unto all the people

[24:26] if he said it to all the people he said

[24:28] it to how many of the people all the

[24:30] people thus sayith the Lord God of

[24:32] Israel your fathers dwelt on the other

[24:34] side of the flood in old time even Tara

[24:36] the father of Abraham the father of

[24:38] nikor and they served other gods so

[24:43] Abraham had a problem he used to serve

[24:49] your father Abraham from the other side

[26:13] this now and your eyes have seen what I

[26:17] have done in Egypt and ye dwelt in the

[26:21] wilderness a long season so that

[26:26] generation who faded off the scene and

[26:29] went home to be with their family in the

[26:32] Lord the generation after them knew not

[26:36] the

[26:40] Lord

[26:42] nor saw the works which he had

[26:45] done verse eight I brought you into the

[26:48] land of the amorites which dwelt on the

[26:50] other side of Jordan they fought with

[26:52] you and I gave them into your hand that

[26:55] ye might possess their land and I

[26:58] destroyed them from before you then

[27:01] balok the son of zapor the king of Moab

[27:03] arose and wared against Israel and sent

[27:05] and called balum the son of beor to

[27:07] curse you but I would not hearken unto

[27:09] balum therefore he blessed you still so

[27:44] ye dwell in them of The Vineyards and

[27:46] Olive yards which he planted not do ye

[27:50] eat all the things that God's done for

[27:54] them that generation

[28:00] so before we get into the next couple

[28:03] verses I I just want to

[28:05] recap in our minds that

[28:09] generation that

[28:13] generation had an

[28:17] opportunity to come out of

[28:20] Egypt that means that generation saw the

[28:23] Egyptian

[28:26] plagues that generation watch this now

[28:29] there are some in that

[28:31] generation that could say I remember one

[28:34] night where my daddy put the blood on

[28:37] the doorpost and the Death Angel passed

[28:40] over our house and I'm alive today

[28:43] because my daddy applied the blood to

[28:46] the door that's that

[28:49] generation they survived the death

[28:52] angel that it goes on this generation

[28:56] that generation

[28:58] in Joshua chapter 4 there's some

[29:01] stones that have been

[29:04] built that Joshua in chapter 4: 6 and 7

[29:08] says these shall be a memorial

[29:13] forever and when your children ask of it

[29:16] what meth these Stones you shall tell

[29:20] them they've got a pile of stones two of

[29:23] them in chapter 4 in Joshua 24 at the

[29:27] end of this chapter they make a covenant

[29:30] with the Lord Joshua sets up a stone

[29:32] under an oak tree as a

[29:36] memorial this

[29:38] generation for 30 years after Joshua

[29:43] dies they got the pile of

[29:46] stones two different ones by the Jordan

[29:49] River they've got the stone under the

[29:51] oak

[29:52] tree they've got the memory of Jericho's

[29:55] flattened walls

[29:58] they could say I

[30:01] marched not only could that generation

[30:04] say that but their kids who knew not the

[30:09] Lord I walked around that city are you

[30:15] listening the other victories in the

[30:17] promised land all the things we read

[30:19] about the Hig hivites the gadites all

[30:21] the other IES that God gave them victory

[30:25] over that generation had seen God do it

[30:28] it that

[30:31] generation had food they were enjoying

[30:34] and feeding their kids from the olive

[30:36] yards and The

[30:38] Vineyards the snack that their kids were

[30:40] eating God provided it well they didn't

[30:44] tell them about

[30:48] it that

[30:50] generation at

[30:56] Mana fell from the SK

[31:14] time where trees were thrown in to

[31:22] Still They may have even had still scars

[31:26] from the fiery serpents that had bitten

[31:29] them but they looked upon the Lord and

[31:30] they

[31:32] lived they'd experienced the Egyptian

[31:35] plagues they survived the death angel

[31:38] that

[31:39] generation experienced all those great

[31:42] things you know what Joshua said to that

[31:44] generation Joshua

[31:47] 24:14 now therefore fear the lord and

[31:51] serve him in sincerity and in

[31:54] truth put away the Gods

[31:57] which your father served on the other

[32:00] side of the

[32:01] flood and in Egypt and serve ye the

[32:07] Lord

[32:10] whoa they didn't pass on

[32:15] Jehovah but they had Grandpa's

[32:20] Idol and Mama's Idol still with

[32:25] them same generation

[32:29] the list of 15 things we just went

[32:31] over same generation still struggling

[32:36] Idols verse 15 and if it seem evil unto

[32:39] you to serve the Lord choose you this

[33:24] Lord for he is our God

[33:28] and Joshua said unto the people you

[33:29] cannot serve the Lord for he is an holy

[33:40] verse if ye forsake the Lord and serve

[35:42] those great things passed off the Sea

[36:06] talk about how not to be that

[36:10] Generation Now how not to be a

[36:12] generation that goes off the scene and

[36:14] does not affect another

[36:22] Joshua 24:15 choose you this day

[36:29] if you don't want to be that generation

[36:31] that passes off the scene and the

[36:34] generation after you knows not the Lord

[36:46] not be a generation that passes off the

[36:54] that generation we must choose to put

[37:29] Lord how not to be that generation he

[37:32] said you got to put away the strange

[37:35] Gods so there's anything in your life

[37:38] that is hindering you from being a

[37:41] person that's going to pass it on to the

[37:42] next Generation you need to put that

[37:45] away you got to put it away can't hang

[37:47] on to it you got to put it away put away

[37:51] the things among you that would hinder

[37:53] your choice to serve God Joshua says

[38:33] God Proverbs 3 five and six trust in the

[38:36] Lord with all thine heart and lean not

[38:39] unto thine own understanding and all thy

[38:40] ways acknowledge Him and He Shall direct

[38:42] thy path you got to Incline your heart

[38:48] Lord number

[38:50] four if you want to be part if you don't

[38:53] want to be that generation that another

[38:55] generation comes after you and knows not

[38:57] the Lord you got you got to rehearse to

[38:59] others what God has done and who he is

[39:09] is you have to rehearse it you have to

[39:12] pass it on to the next

[39:15] Generation number five how not to be

[39:19] that generation remember we have little

[39:23] time to affect the Next Generation

[39:34] we're not guaranteed at tomorrow but we

[40:32] Generation The Godly

[40:35] generation needs to affect the Next

[40:40] Generation but that's not the end of the

[40:45] message because there's another

[40:47] generation in our account

[40:55] three the other generation

[40:59] so maybe you're in that generation that

[41:01] you're trying to be Godly you're trying

[41:02] to pass it on to the next Generation but

[41:05] there's that other

[41:06] one that other

[41:09] generation it's not just the generation

[41:12] that passed on

[41:16] fault it's not just a generation that

[41:19] passed On's

[41:20] fault the other

[41:22] generation didn't do some things

[41:25] e so here's the other generation you may

[41:28] find them at your workplace you may find

[41:30] them in your church you may find them

[41:32] all around you the other generation

[41:34] number one ask questions we know you

[41:37] have

[41:39] them that younger generation that's

[41:41] coming up let me encourage you ask

[41:43] questions we know you have

[41:47] them ask

[41:49] them ask the question no one walked by

[41:54] that that other generation they walked

[41:56] by the same Stone

[41:59] they didn't know what they

[42:02] mean they walked by the rubble of

[42:06] Jericho they walked by a big rock

[42:12] pile but no one said yeah there's a man

[42:14] in his family buried under that Joshua

[42:17] chapter

[42:18] 7 his name's

[42:20] aen he took of the accursed

[42:23] thing the Bible says they heaped rocks

[42:26] upon him

[42:27] and it continued to this

[42:30] day they walked by the same Rock piles

[42:36] Stones they ate the same grapes they

[43:15] hair got some great truths that they've

[43:17] learned from God that they love to share

[43:20] with ask questions we know you

[43:24] have also that's not just about what God

[43:27] has done but that's about who God is as

[43:29] you read your Bible you're like I don't

[43:31] understand that ask

[43:32] questions we know you have them number

[43:36] two open your eyes and ears to see God

[43:38] and hear God number three make your

[43:42] choice don't cave to the

[43:45] culture make your choice don't cave to

[43:48] the

[43:50] culture you know what the nation of

[43:52] Israel

[43:53] did go back to Judges chapter 2 I'll

[44:03] 2 we read in verse 10 they knew not the

[44:06] Lord nor yet The Works which he had done

[44:08] in Israel verse 11 the children of

[44:11] Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord

[44:14] balum where was he he was the god of the

[44:17] Canaanites where were the Canaanites

[44:18] they're still in the land because they

[44:20] didn't get them all the way out because

[44:22] they didn't fully obey God so watch this

[44:25] the gods that were around them

[44:27] in said of the Gods who brought them

[44:30] that's where they begin to pay

[44:31] attention they begin to Cave to the

[44:33] culture look as it goes on verse 12 they

[44:36] forsook the Lord God of their fathers

[44:37] which brought them up out of the land of

[44:38] Egypt and followed other gods the gods

[44:41] of the people that were round about them

[44:46] and bowed themselves unto them and

[44:48] provoked the Lord to anger they forsook

[44:51] the Lord and ser baale and ashteroth

[44:58] they came to the culture around

[45:00] them the

[45:01] Thorns the snares as it was described at

[45:04] the beginning of Chapter two The Snare

[45:06] they're God to be a snare they got

[45:09] hooked they stumbled and got

[45:11] trapped make your choice don't cave to

[45:14] the culture number four know what you

[45:17] believe so you can pass it

[45:21] on that other generation that's coming

[45:23] up those younger Generations know what

[45:25] you believe so you can pass it

[45:30] on number five it's up to your

[45:37] generation it's up to your

[45:43] generation in second Timothy Chapter 2

[45:46] verses one and two Paul instructs

[45:49] Timothy to be

[45:51] multi-generational in his ministry

[45:54] approach says what I've given to you you

[45:57] give to Faithful Men Who will be able to

[46:00] teach others also he says the same

[46:03] commit thou to Faithful Men God's

[46:07] plan for

[46:09] Christianity is

[46:12] multi-generational

[46:15] Ministry

[46:18] multi-generational Ministry we need

[46:21] every

[46:22] generation every generation is important

[46:28] but multigenerational

[46:30] Ministry is God's plan or you can have

[46:36] last

[46:38] generation

[46:39] Ministry it's your

[46:42] choice it's your

[46:45] choice I want you to think about it

[46:47] tonight one

[46:49] generation passed off this and another

[46:53] generation arose that knew not the Lord

[46:57] The Works that he had done and in our

[47:01] lives if we don't talk about

[47:04] God and talk about what he's

[47:07] done and share with others how good God

[47:12] is we are going to

[47:16] struggle passing it on to the next

[47:20] Generation so what is God looking for

[47:23] he's looking for your

[47:25] generation he's looking looking for your

[47:27] generation to be the generation that's

[47:30] not like the one in Joshua 24 in Judges

[47:33] chapter

[47:34] 2 don't be quiet about what God has

[47:39] done the things that you have seen from

[47:42] God share with

[47:46] others the powerful truth of what God

[47:50] has done in you and for you can

[47:53] transform lives around you the powerful

[47:58] truth of what God has done in you and

[48:00] for you can transform lives around

[48:04] you if it leads from

[48:09] you

[48:11] either living it

[48:13] out or speaking it

[48:17] out I enjoy talking to people about life

[48:21] and serving the lord the things God has

[48:23] shown them and the things God has taught

[48:25] them be encouragement to

[48:30] others don't be that

[48:34] generation like the one in judges 2 in

[48:36] Joshua

[48:37] 24 now you may not have 15 things on

[48:40] your list like that generation

[48:43] had where they had seen the works that

[48:46] he had done they seen the stones and

[48:48] they had the victories of the cities and

[48:50] the victories in Jericho the food that

[48:53] they were enjoying the Mana they had ate

[48:54] in the wilderness the Jordan River

[48:56] Crossing the Red Sea crossing the quail

[48:59] from Heaven the the scars in their hands

[49:02] from the snake bite where they looked

[49:04] and lived on on the serpent on the pole

[49:07] the death angel that passed over some of

[49:10] them and they didn't die because their

[49:12] parents applied the blood

[49:14] listen some of us you may not have

[49:16] things like

[49:18] those but you got a lot to thank God for

[49:22] and you got a lot to talk about what God

[49:24] has done

[49:27] don't be that

[49:30] Generation by the way that

[49:33] generation 90 to 70 years

[49:38] old don't you think about all the

[49:41] years they had an

[49:44] opportunity to impact another

[49:47] generation and they made a

[49:50] choice not

[49:54] to Joshua you this day whom you will

[49:59] serve they all had now listen the same

[50:03] generation the same generation you'll go

[50:05] on and reading judges some of the idols

[50:09] that came

[50:10] across the Red

[50:12] Sea got passed down to the other

[50:18] Generations they at the end of chapter

[50:21] 24 they buried Joseph's bones watch that

[50:24] 40 years in the wilderness they carried

[50:27] the

[50:27] bones 30 years in the promised land they

[50:30] had the

[50:32] bones and then they buried

[50:36] them watch they felt it more important

[50:39] to bury Joseph's bones than to teach the

[50:42] Next Generation about the

[50:45] Lord wait a minute we talked about it

[50:48] Sunday night uh I think there's

[50:50] something about Joseph that we read the

[50:52] Lord was with him

[50:57] they felt it more important to pass down

[51:00] inheritance

[51:05] land but not the

[51:09] Lord they felt it more

[51:12] important to pass down

[51:15] Idols than to talk about the Lord

[51:19] God they walked by

[51:23] opportunities to say

[51:26] these Stones now I I'm curious Joshua

[51:29] said in chapter four that when your

[51:32] children walk by and say what meth these

[51:36] Stones you would tell

[51:38] them I wonder there are people in that

[51:40] generation that their kids said what

[51:43] mean those stones and they didn't even

[51:45] tell them about it we don't know if that

[51:48] happened or not but I

[51:52] wonder come on we're running late to

[51:54] Tabernacle

[51:57] don't have time to talk to you about the

[51:59] stone hey hey we got we got we got to go

[52:03] take care of the sheep we don't have

[52:04] time to talk about those stones hey go

[52:06] walk go take the Sheep down to the river

[52:08] let them drink of the river we don't

[52:09] have time to talk about the pile of

[52:19] with your child is an opportunity to

[52:25] Lord every moment with a grandchild is

[52:27] an opportunity to talk to them about the

[52:32] Lord people around you at work it's an

[52:35] opportunity to talk to them about the

[52:38] Lord don't be that

[52:41] generation and if you're part of that

[52:42] younger generation I got good news ask

[52:45] the questions because we know where the

[52:46] answers are it's right here in the word

[52:48] of

[52:50] God God has a desire and a plan to help

[52:53] you to grow you

[52:57] choose him choose you this

[53:02] day don't put it off till tomorrow

[53:04] because we're not guaranteed a tomorrow

[53:06] but choose you this day whom you

[53:10] serve so

[53:36] about the Lord they Robo dialed

[53:40] you we're for such that we're this is

[53:42] teror to call you about your car

[53:45] insurance but do you know where you're

[53:46] going to go when you

[53:51] die talk to him about the Lord

[53:57] I have a lady that I know in Indiana she

[54:00] was our receptionist at the

[54:03] church I ordered the tracks for the

[54:05] church so I ordered a box of a thousand

[54:08] just for her every couple

[54:10] years every bill that she got every

[54:15] piece of mail that had a pre-stamped

[54:19] envelope she put tracks in it and sent

[54:22] them

[54:23] back every one of them

[54:26] so if she got an envelope from some

[54:29] company that had a pre-stamped thing

[54:31] with the address on it she put a track

[54:33] in it sealed it up mailed it

[54:36] back somebody's got to open

[54:39] that and we know the word of God does

[54:41] not return

[54:44] void every one of those every Bill she

[54:47] paid light bill got a track in

[54:51] it gas bill got a track in it water bill

[54:53] got a track in it internet service got a

[54:55] track every one of them

[54:58] bills I had to start ordering her the

[55:00] boxes because if I just let her take it

[55:03] from the track rack I found out I was

[55:04] restocking the track rack every

[55:07] week sometimes she would just sign up

[55:09] for free sample stuff just to get the

[55:13] envelopes just so she could mail them

[55:15] more

[55:19] stuff so instead of saying oh it's just

[55:22] junk mail hey look see if there's an

[55:23] envelope in there stick a track in it

[55:25] mail it back

[55:28] you never know what God might do with

[55:31] that you never know one day you might be

[55:34] walking down the street of gold in

[55:36] heaven and someone came up to you

[55:39] hey I used to work at such and such a

[55:41] place I got an envelope in the mail with

[55:44] a track from your

[55:46] church and I got saved and I'm here in

[55:49] heaven today because you didn't throw

[55:50] the junk mail out you sent it back

[56:00] I like putting them in the gas

[56:02] pumps they got to touch

[56:06] them you stick it in the handle of the

[56:08] gas pump and people like oh what's in

[56:10] there get the track

[56:13] out got opportunities talk to people

[56:16] about the

[56:17] Lord and some of you're going to spend

[56:18] time with some family during

[56:20] Christmas talk to them about the Lord

[56:23] say well you know holiday time we don't

[56:25] talk about religion or politics it's not

[56:27] about religion it's about where they're

[56:28] going to spend

[56:30] eternity talk to about what God's done

[56:33] for

[56:37] story tonight don't be that

[56:41] generation and don't be that other

[56:45] generation who went to

[56:48] Tabernacle who saw the things saw the

[56:51] piles of

[56:52] stones didn't question or ask what's

[56:55] that about

[56:59] generation multi-generational Ministry

[57:02] or last generation Ministry Bible

[57:04] Baptist Church will have one of

[57:06] them it's your

[57:08] choice it's your

[57:10] choice what are you going to do you're

[57:14] going to be that generation that when

[57:15] you die you serve the Lord you love God

[57:18] you experience some great things from

[57:19] God but you left no

[57:22] footprint for eternity

[57:27] or you going to be part of a generation

[57:29] that when you go there'll be people

[57:32] saying I got saved I went came got to

[57:35] church my heart got changed my life got

[57:37] changed because they did this or they

[57:40] did that or they shared this about God

[57:46] breathing God still got a plan for you

[57:49] Earth so be the generation that talks

[57:52] about the Lord would you stand with your
