[0:07] we've had some videos we've been

[0:09] uploading and try to continue to upload

[0:11] new content each day we wanted to let

[0:14] you know that sometimes I hope not

[0:17] sometimes you can get used to hearing

[0:19] the same voice over and over and over

[0:22] again at least that's what my wife tells

[0:23] me and so this morning and we've got a

[0:26] guest speaker today so I want you to

[0:29] tune in to the guest speaker today so I

[0:31] want you to get out your Bible go ahead

[0:33] get it out we'll wait for you you'll get

[0:36] your Bible out and follow along and the

[0:39] Word of God this morning as we have this

[0:42] word of encouragement from our guest

[0:43] speaker and I pray to be an

[0:45] encouragement to you and then at the end

[0:47] of this video if it was a blessing to

[0:49] you leave comments so we can know that

[0:52] you're listening and know that you're

[0:54] watching but also be a part of that

[1:05] encouragement

[1:06] praise the Lord family of God for what

[1:08] God is doing in our lives today we thank

[1:10] the Lord for the way he works and if you

[1:11] have your Bible today let's go and turn

[1:13] to this morning or tonight wherever it

[1:14] might be for you to the Gospel of Mark

[1:16] chapter number 5 mark chapter number 5

[1:19] and as you're turning to mark chapter

[1:20] number 5 I'd like to just preset the

[1:22] message before in chapter number 4 I

[1:24] want to set the stage here because Jesus

[1:26] of course has sent His disciples across

[1:28] the sea and as he gets across the sea

[1:30] here we're going to find that he's gonna

[1:31] have contact with a man called the

[1:34] maniac of Ghaderi and his life will be

[1:36] transformed and changed in that

[1:37] situation but in verse 35 of chapter

[1:39] number 4 of Mark it says in the same day

[1:41] when the evening was come he saith to

[1:43] them let us pass over unto the other

[1:45] side when they had sent away the

[1:47] multitude they took him even as he was

[1:49] in the ship and there was also with him

[1:51] other little ships and there arose a

[1:53] great storm of wind and the waves beat

[1:54] into the ship so that was now full and

[1:57] he was in the midst of the hinder part

[1:58] of the ship asleep on a pillow and they

[2:00] awake him and said to him master carest

[2:03] thou not that we perish he arose and he

[2:05] rebuked the wind and said to the sea

[2:07] peace be still and the wind ceased and

[2:10] there was a great calm and he said unto

[2:12] them why

[2:13] you so fearful how is it that you have

[2:15] no faith and they feared exceedingly and

[2:17] said one to another what manner of man

[2:19] is this that even the wind and the sea

[2:21] obey Him then they made their way across

[2:23] the sea as the storm was calm made their

[2:26] way to the maniac badarian his life was

[2:27] transformed as well I want you to notice

[2:30] this morning as I was reading this that

[2:32] I saw the aspect of what God did in the

[2:34] life of the disciples as well as the

[2:36] life of the maniac of Ghaderi

[2:37] and everything that we go through in

[2:39] life we may not know the end result and

[2:41] even though they were facing a storm the

[2:43] mania vedere was facing salvation his

[2:45] life would be transformed we see things

[2:47] in different perspective the main thrust

[2:49] of this passage is peace be still I was

[2:52] singing a song the other day in church

[2:53] and you know a lot of times when it

[2:55] rains you think about the Lord's our

[2:57] Rock and him we hide a shelter in the

[2:59] time of storm we're all going to go

[3:00] through storms and life situations of

[3:02] life perhaps not only physically but

[3:04] spiritually and financed and otherwise

[3:06] that might overwhelm us but we see here

[3:08] that God gave a command to his servants

[3:10] to get into the ship there were other

[3:12] little ships close by and so whatever

[3:13] happened on this ship was going to also

[3:15] be seen by the other little ships along

[3:17] the way the storm that took place would

[3:19] have been also taken by the other ships

[3:21] as well and when the sea was calm dwee

[3:23] find that Jesus would have calmed it for

[3:24] every one of them and we do know that

[3:26] Jesus was capable of calming the storm

[3:28] if you've read your Bible know much

[3:29] about his character that is obvious in

[3:31] the Word of God so calm came into their

[3:33] life and the red-letter addition here

[3:35] says let us pass over to the other side

[3:37] the command that was given then he said

[3:39] peace be still he understood their

[3:41] concern for the adversities and troubles

[3:43] in their life the storms and the trials

[3:46] were God's gift to them for spiritual

[3:48] growth and they didn't even know it at

[3:50] the time and a lot of times we face

[3:52] things in our life and we sometimes

[3:53] forget that God is who he claims to be

[3:55] he's never left his throne and he's

[3:57] there for us a very present help in time

[3:59] of need so I'd like to encourage us

[4:01] today with some thoughts pertaining to

[4:02] this portion of scripture about when you

[4:04] face the situation's of life he's a

[4:06] shelter in the time of storm and we can

[4:09] have peace in our heart in our life so

[4:11] we do know and understand that God is

[4:13] able to do wonderful things if you

[4:14] notice in the passage there when he said

[4:15] peace be still said why are you so

[4:17] fearful how is it that you have no faith

[4:19] and so they did not realize that the

[4:21] time totally who Jesus was apparently

[4:24] because when he declared to them peace

[4:25] be still

[4:26] we find that's exactly what took place

[4:28] perhaps they didn't remember what the

[4:30] Book of Isaiah said in chapter 43 verse

[4:32] number 2 when they'll pass us through

[4:34] the waters I'll be with thee and though

[4:36] through the rivers they shall not

[4:37] overflow thee so we know the God's

[4:39] present is ever there we also know that

[4:41] sometimes that fear can become greater

[4:43] than our faith because we're not

[4:45] trusting we're doubting

[4:46] we're not believing God so we find here

[4:48] that in the time for facing in art world

[4:50] today of coronavirus situations of life

[4:52] financially things were dealing with

[4:54] this worry and stress in our life we can

[4:56] be encouraged by the Word of God it can

[4:58] help us just as certain as the disciples

[5:01] went to Jesus they found him asleep you

[5:04] say he wasn't concerned about them you

[5:06] see he was in control of them he was in

[5:08] control of everything so we know that

[5:10] when he cried out when they cried out to

[5:12] him peace he cried out peace be still

[5:15] notice verse 13 us and he arose and he

[5:17] rebuked the wind and said to the sea

[5:19] peace be still and a great calm came

[5:21] just looking at this very quickly I want

[5:23] you to see that God arose now he arose

[5:25] from his sleep obviously and then he

[5:27] arose and stood and he rebuked the wind

[5:29] he had Dominion and power over all you

[5:32] know I believe that America needs God I

[5:34] believe the fear of God is missing in

[5:36] our country and I believe we have to be

[5:37] challenged to pray as believers even

[5:39] more for our nation for our president

[5:41] for our leadership because it's a good

[5:43] testimony to our churches to our lives

[5:45] to take heed to what God has declared

[5:47] and God will have a good testimony for

[5:49] your church as you honor the Lord by

[5:50] being faithful to the authorities he

[5:52] sent into our lives listen this is not a

[5:54] battle against the church this is a

[5:56] battle against a disease and a problem

[5:58] and a virus taking place when do our

[5:59] very best I believe to try to Commission

[6:01] ourselves to be faithful to that I

[6:03] believe though God is able to arise

[6:05] I believe you can arise in our situation

[6:08] today and he can help us in my faith and

[6:10] in your faith let's just believe what

[6:12] God's Word says let's just believe what

[6:14] God declares that I'd encourage you

[6:15] friend but he's the same yesterday today

[6:17] and forever at the same time his word is

[6:20] steadfast and it is sure

[6:22] so may God arise in our faith and when

[6:24] you're facing fear or intimidation or

[6:26] heartache be like I say it what time I'm

[6:29] afraid I will trust in thee I will trust

[6:31] and not be afraid I will make sure I'm

[6:33] trusting in God your family is going to

[6:36] be taken care of by the Lord the same

[6:37] God you serve three

[6:38] ago is the same God you serve today may

[6:41] God encourage you and help you as a

[6:42] family - even though it may be on

[6:44] livestream or maybe in your home and

[6:46] your personal devotions reading of your

[6:48] Bible do not forget your God have faith

[6:50] in Him have faith in his word bring your

[6:53] fears to him in prayer be concerned

[6:55] about your country be concerned about

[6:56] your family because your future

[6:58] ultimately is in his hands

[6:59] he said one day were going to be in his

[7:01] presence and while we're here just like

[7:03] Jesus said in John 14 let not your heart

[7:05] be troubled you believe in God believe

[7:07] also in me my father's house are many

[7:09] mansions we're not so I would have told

[7:11] thee I go to pair place for thee and if

[7:13] I go I'll come again receive done myself

[7:15] to where I am there you may be also

[7:17] hey the disciples were fearing at that

[7:18] time but Jesus gave victory we may be

[7:20] fearing right now but we have a great

[7:22] future the foe that we have perhaps is

[7:24] not the person across the street the

[7:26] Bible says were to love the Lord our God

[7:27] and to love our neighbors as ourselves

[7:29] we're gonna love our neighbors let's do

[7:31] what we can to take heed when our state

[7:32] is telling us to do what our presidents

[7:34] telling us to do to try to help us to

[7:36] stop this as quick as we possibly can to

[7:37] make sure we're encouraged in the things

[7:39] of the Lord I believe that God is

[7:41] capable of arising and helping America

[7:43] he could help the servants of God he can

[7:45] help you in your home you can take care

[7:47] of your future your finances your family

[7:49] it can take care of your fears and even

[7:51] if you face fatality and someone is

[7:53] dying or someone is facing heartache he

[7:55] can give you the obedience and the trust

[7:57] to know that he is very present help in

[7:59] time of need so as I'm reading this I

[8:01] think about this song he's a shelter in

[8:03] the time of storm there's a storm raging

[8:04] right now there's a storm brewing right

[8:06] now don't let the fear become greater

[8:08] than your faith by not trusting him

[8:10] storms may being groaning but God uses

[8:13] them for growth he's going to give us

[8:14] great gain in power and everything's

[8:16] done ultimately for his honor and for

[8:18] his glory

[8:18] so today think about your God when

[8:21] you're facing trouble it's God that told

[8:23] him to get into the ship and go to the

[8:24] other side they made their way their

[8:26] focus was upon the storm but by the time

[8:28] you get to chapter number five verse

[8:30] number one through verse number twenty

[8:31] you'll find that God had something

[8:33] wonderful in store they had faith to

[8:35] believe that God could do something now

[8:37] because the meaning of Ghaderi

[8:38] his whole life was transformed and it

[8:40] says when they return notice if you

[8:41] would please in verse number 20 of

[8:43] chapter number five and he departed

[8:45] began to Posehn to capital how great

[8:47] things Jesus had done for him and all

[8:49] men did marvel verse 21 and when geez

[8:51] was passed over again by ship to the

[8:53] other side much people were gathered

[8:55] unto Him and he was nigh unto the sea

[8:57] and so the people around him were

[9:00] changed as well the maniac was changed

[9:02] and the cross-references tell us that

[9:04] God did wonderful things during that

[9:06] time listen I know what God's gonna do

[9:07] what I'm gonna do he's going to

[9:09] exceeding abundantly above all we're

[9:10] asked for everything so be encouraged by

[9:12] that today friend may God help us to

[9:14] understand by faith that his word

[9:15] declares it his promise is shirin

[9:17] steadfast so let's honor God and help

[9:19] others by being that servant of God we

[9:21] ought to be stay faithful unto Him till

[9:23] he comes
