[0:26] this week lead Congress to finally pass
[0:29] a passenger Bill of Rights and some of
[0:32] the biggest sacrifices of the Iraq War

[0:56] simple and clear after 4 days of debate
[0:59] the house passed resolution today that
[1:01] says it disapproves of the decision of
[1:03] President George W bush to deploy more
[1:06] than 20,000 additional us combat troops
[1:09] to Iraq the vote was 246 to
[1:13] 182 17 Republicans cross party lines
[1:16] joining the majority Democrats in
[1:18] opposing The Troop buildup two Democrats
[1:21] voted against the resolution the vote
[1:23] was symbolic but it's just the beginning
[1:25] of a campaign by Congressional opponents
[1:27] of the war to try to stop it Cheryl
[1:30] aison is on Capitol Hill tonight Cheryl
[1:32] we expected the vote to go the way it
[1:34] did so was there really much drama there
[1:37] today a little bit Katie the repudiation
[1:40] of the commander-in-chief's war plan was
[1:42] largely a Partyline vote after a
[1:44] Partyline
[1:46] debate that this surge in the troops is
[1:48] the wrong
