[0:00] This was a weird week in the world of
[0:02] AI. One week ago, the US government
[0:04] forced Anthropic to cut off access to
[0:06] their latest model Fable, and I think
[0:08] ever since then, the entire AI community
[0:10] has been holding its breath waiting to
[0:12] see what would happen next. But, some
[0:15] companies are still charging forward,
[0:17] and we've seen some interesting AI news
[0:19] this past week, including some unique AI
[0:23] glasses, some updates to Chat GPT that
[0:25] are really cool, and an update to one of
[0:27] the best AI super apps currently
[0:30] available. If you don't know who I am,
[0:31] my name is Paul J. Lipsky. Every week, I
[0:34] release a video just like this one
[0:36] recapping the top AI news stories from
[0:38] the past week that regular people
[0:40] actually care about. We don't talk about
[0:42] benchmarks or coding. This is the stuff
[0:44] that's actually going to make a
[0:45] difference in your life. So, if that
[0:47] interests you, make sure to subscribe.
[0:49] Let's first talk about this Fable
[0:51] fallout. So, after my last weekly AI
[0:53] news recap, I broke the story here on
[0:55] YouTube that the US government was
[0:57] shutting down Fable. And at the time, we
[1:00] didn't have a lot of information, but
[1:02] now we do. So, let me recap for you what
[1:03] has happened so far. A few months ago,
[1:06] Anthropic announced that they had
[1:07] created a model called Mythos. And this
[1:10] is so powerful, particularly at
[1:13] discovering and exploiting software
[1:15] vulnerabilities, that it would have been
[1:17] irresponsible of them to release it
[1:19] publicly. So, instead, on June 9th, they
[1:22] released a weaker version of it to the
[1:24] public called Fable 5
