[7:01] lives and I hope today you've had a good

[7:03] day you've spent time with the Lord and

[7:06] you've also spent time praying and uh

[7:08] hopefully you've done that already today

[7:10] but we're going to encourage you tonight

[7:12] uh to spend a little bit more time on

[7:14] purpose praying with the Lord but we're

[7:16] thankful for each and everyone tuning in

[7:17] tonight and we'll have one more song

[7:21] played for us and then we'll get right

[7:23] into the word of God right after this

[7:25] song

[7:28] [Music]

[7:31] [Applause]

[7:37] [Music]

[7:40] I

[7:43] ad I don't

[7:48] understand why God would let me face

[7:52] this painful

[7:56] circumstance all I have to cling to

[8:00] is his word and his name

[8:05] that's so I will

[8:10] trust for

[8:12] and Glory

[8:20] [Music]

[8:29] for I

[8:32] [Music]

[8:38] [Music]

[8:40] know

[8:46] Glory I love the Lord and he has

[8:51] promised

[8:52] [Music]

[8:53] me he'll work all things for good

[8:58] through my tears I

[9:00] believe that his ways are

[9:05] higher of my own

[9:10] and

[9:15] [Music]

[9:25] heory alone

[9:29] [Music]

[9:39] [Applause]

[9:46] Glory

[9:53] [Music]

[9:58] [Applause]

[10:04] [Music]

[10:07] Glory

[10:09] [Music]

[10:30] me it's for

[10:32] [Music]

[10:34] my

[10:35] [Applause]

[10:40] glory for his

[10:43] [Music]

[10:52] glor amen I'm thankful for the message

[10:55] of that song it is encouragement to my

[10:57] heart and I love love that song there if

[11:00] you have your Bibles go to Psalm chapter

[11:03] number 18 tonight Psalm chapter number

[11:05] 18 thankful for you being here tonight

[11:08] and looking forward to a great time uh

[11:10] in the word of God tonight so Psalm

[11:13] chapter number 18 we're going to begin

[11:15] reading in the first three verses of

[11:18] Psalm 18 uh you can also find a lot of

[11:21] this in 2 Samuel chapter 22 uh David

[11:25] writes it in 2 Samuel and then here in

[11:28] Psalm 18

[11:30] uh it's also a Psalm of Praise And so

[11:32] we're looking forward tonight uh to

[11:34] diving into Psalm 18 and so we hope and

[11:37] pray that it'll be a blessing and an

[11:39] encouragement to you so Psalm 18 tonight

[11:43] again this is David the author he's a

[11:46] servant of the Lord and he spoke who

[11:48] spake unto the Lord the words of this

[11:51] song in the day that the Lord delivered

[11:53] him from the hand of all his enemies and

[11:55] from the hand of soul and so this is

[11:58] what he said in Psalm 18 so hopefully

[12:02] you're there now Psalm 18 and verse

[12:05] number one I will love thee oh Lord my

[12:10] strength the Lord is my rock and my

[12:14] Fortress and my deliverer my God my

[12:18] strength in whom I will trust my Buckler

[12:23] and the Horn of my salvation and my high

[12:27] tower I will call upon the Lord who is

[12:32] worthy to be praised so shall I be saved

[12:36] from my enemies let's have a word of

[12:38] prayer and we'll dive into it tonight

[12:40] dear heavenly father Lord we're thankful

[12:42] for the opportunity to open up your word

[12:44] tonight Lord I pray you'd help us to

[12:46] consider you tonight Lord that you'd

[12:48] help us to read the the message of David

[12:52] and Lord apply it to our hearts and

[12:54] lives tonight Lord in your name I pray

[12:57] amen now if you go into second Samuel 22

[13:00] that first verse isn't there uh it's

[13:03] found here in the psalm so in 2 Samuel

[13:05] 22 uh doesn't start with the

[13:09] introduction in verse one of I will love

[13:12] thee oh Lord my strength and so tonight

[13:15] we're going to look at these three

[13:17] verses and we're look about the Lord and

[13:19] we're going to look at David and David's

[13:22] relationship with the Lord and how the

[13:24] Lord was working in his heart and in his

[13:27] life and so uh tonight if you're taking

[13:30] notes we we've got 12 things tonight

[13:33] that we're going to look at and excited

[13:35] about tonight uh Lord willing will get

[13:37] to all 12 and so but we'll see what the

[13:40] Lord does tonight I want you to notice

[13:42] in verse number one that David he's he's

[13:46] come through life and 2 Samuel 22 he's

[13:50] he's been the king for a while he's

[13:51] nearing the end of his kingly time and

[13:55] David is here and he is writing a a song

[13:59] of praise and he's had a life David's

[14:02] lived a life of being the king he's

[14:04] lived a life on the Run he's lived a

[14:06] life hiding from Saul he's lived a life

[14:09] dealing with the Philistines and David

[14:12] has had some difficult times in his life

[14:14] and he's had some wonderful times in his

[14:16] life he's had some high moments like

[14:18] when he defeated Goliath and he had some

[14:21] dark moments when he sinned against the

[14:23] Lord and He sinned with bash Sheba but

[14:26] David's described in the Bible as a man

[14:28] after after God's Own Heart a man after

[14:32] God's Own Heart and so a man after God's

[14:34] Own Heart writes Psalm 18 under the

[14:38] inspiration of God so I want you to

[14:40] notice how David starts it off I will

[14:45] that statement that I will statement is

[14:49] an important statement to make

[14:50] especially in our relationship with God

[14:53] I will and so David says I will love

[14:58] thee now you think about David and all

[15:00] the years that he's been alive and all

[15:02] the things that he's gone through and

[15:04] David saysi will love thee on the dark

[15:09] days and the wonderful days David has

[15:11] already made up his mind I will love

[15:15] thee and we we got to remind ourselves

[15:18] that David said I will love thee and

[15:21] he's talking about God that he loves

[15:26] God why do you and I love God

[15:31] now the answer to that is he loves me

[15:34] and he loves

[15:36] you that's the simple answer it doesn't

[15:39] need to be more complicated than that

[15:41] God loves us exclamation point I would

[15:45] say period but it's even bigger than

[15:46] that it's an exclamation point God loves

[15:50] us and if you have any doubt about it we

[15:53] could go back to our song that we sang

[15:55] in Sunday school and in junior church

[15:58] and even sometimes and church services

[16:01] Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible

[16:07] tells me so you don't have to wonder if

[16:10] Jesus loves you you don't have to

[16:12] question if he loves you you know that

[16:16] he loves you the word of God clearly

[16:17] says it Jesus loves us and he loves you

[16:21] and David said I will love you because

[16:23] of God's love for him David's response

[16:27] ISL I'm going to love You' Jesus loves

[16:29] me this I know for the Bible tells me so

[16:33] you know as as we think about that song

[16:36] sometimes we we need to remind ourselves

[16:38] we should be in love with Jesus we

[16:41] should love our father we should love

[16:44] him for all the things that he's done

[16:45] for us and so Psalm 18 is a song of

[16:50] Praise that David has I was listening to

[16:52] a message earlier today and was

[16:55] challenged by the thought of sometimes

[16:57] we ought to read some of the Psalms and

[17:00] the

[17:02] prayers and pray the

[17:05] Psalms it'll be interesting to you and I

[17:08] to just stop and see what God's word

[17:11] says and so David says I will love thee

[17:15] oh Lord my strength I thought about that

[17:20] for a moment I love thee I will love

[17:24] thee oh Lord my

[17:26] strength don't you think about that

[17:28] think about David think about what

[17:30] David's been through David took a little

[17:32] sling David took some some rocks and he

[17:35] went to face a giant and it wasn't the

[17:38] strength David had in his sling it was

[17:40] the strength he had in God and he knew

[17:43] that God was his strength and God is his

[17:46] very present help in times of trouble

[17:48] we'll see later on but David recognizes

[17:51] that God is his strength he's my

[17:54] strength it's personal to David it's not

[17:57] that just God is strong strong but he's

[18:00] my strength he's what I need he's the

[18:02] strength that David says he needs I

[18:04] think of John 15 and verse number five

[18:08] John 15 and verse number five and the

[18:11] end of that passage for without me ye

[18:13] can do nothing he's our strength uh

[18:17] except we abide in the vine we will

[18:19] perish we don't have the strength that

[18:21] we need to do life without God apart

[18:25] from God we can't do life and so David

[18:28] says I will love thee oh Lord my

[18:33] strength and then he goes into some

[18:35] descriptive terms as he describes the

[18:39] Lord so let's look at a few of them

[18:41] tonight the Lord is my rock not just

[18:47] that the Lord is a rock the Lord is my

[18:51] rock David says the Lord is my rock he's

[18:54] his personal stronghold or refuge in

[18:58] fact it's interesting in the Book of

[18:59] Psalms over 20 different times the

[19:03] referencing of God or the Lord being a

[19:05] rock is found 20 different times in the

[19:09] Book of

[19:10] Psalms David writing many of those

[19:12] psalms he it was personal to him that

[19:14] the Lord had been the rock he'd been The

[19:16] Fortress he'd been the stronghold or

[19:19] refuge for him and David knew that about

[19:22] the Lord he's the

[19:24] rock you know he's we sing the song Rock

[19:27] of Ages cleft for me we we talk about

[19:31] having our hope in the Rock it's a firm

[19:34] foundation and he's a strength hold he's

[19:37] The Refuge that we need not only did

[19:40] David say in verse number two the Lord

[19:42] is my rock he also said the Lord is my

[19:47] Fortress my Fortress was doing some

[19:49] study on the word Fortress today it's

[19:52] the Hebrew word

[19:55] matada

[19:57] matada is the Hebrew word there uh in

[20:00] the modern day vacular they call it

[20:03] Masada Masada now that word is where we

[20:08] get the the name Mada from and Mada is a

[20:12] rock

[20:13] Fortress and during David's time there

[20:15] was this area uh Masada that was a a

[20:20] rocky area a fortress area and they

[20:23] would use it during times of battle and

[20:25] dur in the New Testament time uh Herod

[20:28] the Great great he built a fortress a

[20:31] place there to protect himself and so he

[20:34] used that for battle and you'll see I

[20:37] believe it's in the history of Israel

[20:39] around

[20:40] 7072 ad there's some battles that take

[20:43] place there at

[20:44] msada but it's a fortress and so when

[20:47] David says it's a matada and he uses

[20:50] that Hebrew word it's a reference to the

[20:53] place and it's personal to David David's

[20:56] hid out there and that stronghold old

[20:58] and he's been on the run from Saul and

[21:00] maybe even spent days at masata and he

[21:03] he's been there and he's found

[21:05] protection there and he's found Comfort

[21:07] there and when you've gone to the Rock

[21:10] and you've gone to the Fortress and

[21:12] God's protected you and God sheltered

[21:14] you there it becomes personal to you

[21:18] that you recognize that he's my Fortress

[21:21] and so David says not only does he love

[21:23] the Lord but he's my strength he's my

[21:26] rock and he's my for Fortress he's my

[21:29] castle he's my shelter that I run to and

[21:33] so David writes under this uh in this

[21:37] Psalm about who God is and he's the rock

[21:41] and he's the Fortress he goes on and he

[21:44] says not only is he my rock and my

[21:47] Fortress he's my deliverer he's the one

[21:51] who brought Deliverance for him and he's

[21:55] the one that God delivered

[21:59] from the hands of the Philistines that

[22:01] God delivered from the hand of Saul that

[22:04] God delivered and God delivered and God

[22:07] delivered and as you think about David

[22:10] God also did a work in David's life

[22:12] after his sin God forgave him of his sin

[22:15] and helped him get his relationship back

[22:17] on track and you know what has God

[22:19] delivered you

[22:21] from you ought to think about that what

[22:23] has God delivered you from now for some

[22:26] it it it may be a list

[22:29] for some of you God delivered you from

[22:31] alcoholism from some of you God

[22:33] delivered you from a broken home

[22:34] environment for some of you God

[22:36] delivered you from all sorts of

[22:38] abominable things and for some of us God

[22:41] still delivering us from things and

[22:43] God's still doing a work in our lives

[22:45] and so we ought to recognize he's my

[22:47] deliverer and what he delivers you from

[22:50] may not be the same thing he delivers me

[22:51] from but he is my deliverer and he's

[22:55] your deliverer he delivered salvation to

[22:58] you and gave you the opportunity to be

[23:00] saved and out of taken out of the the

[23:04] the punishment of hell because of our

[23:06] sin he delivered us from hell we ought

[23:09] to thank God that he's my

[23:12] deliverer not only did he say those

[23:14] things he said that he is my God he's

[23:18] the mighty one whom he worshiped and

[23:21] served who he worshiped and served David

[23:24] said he's my God we know throughout the

[23:27] history of the nation of Israel they

[23:29] struggled with idolatrous worship they'd

[23:32] get wrapped up in Idols they'd turn away

[23:34] from God and God would do a work in

[23:36] their life and bring him back and then

[23:38] they'd turn away from him again and

[23:40] they'd come back and all throughout the

[23:43] history of the nation of Israel they

[23:44] struggle with idolatrous worship now

[23:48] David says he's my God he's the one that

[23:51] I worship he's the one that I adore he's

[23:54] the one that I serve David recognized

[23:57] that he's my God that it's him it's

[24:00] personal to him and you and I ought to

[24:03] have a personal relationship with God

[24:06] and he ought to be your God he ought to

[24:08] be the god that you worship and the god

[24:10] that you love and the god that you serve

[24:13] not only did David say that David also

[24:16] continued on that he's my strength again

[24:21] he's my

[24:23] strength I think about the Apostle Paul

[24:25] in 2 Corinthians chapter 12 when he's

[24:28] praying and asking God to help him with

[24:32] the infirmity that he has in the flesh

[24:35] he's praying and he's asking God and he

[24:37] asked God three

[24:38] times and God's response is not to take

[24:41] it away but to say my grace is

[24:46] sufficient for thee and then he goes on

[24:50] let's turn over there if you have your

[24:51] Bibles turn over to there if you would

[24:53] to 2 Corinthians chapter number 12 2

[24:57] Corinthians chapter number 12 you have

[25:01] to excuse me my Bible's over here it's

[25:02] not in front of me like I normally would

[25:05] have it but second Corinthians chapter

[25:07] number

[25:10] 12 2 Corinthians chapter

[25:18] 12 and verse number

[25:21] nine pages are sticking together got my

[25:25] study Bible here and not my normal

[25:27] preaching Bible that I use 2 Corinthians

[25:30] 12:9 and he said unto me my grace is

[25:33] sufficient for

[25:35] thee for my strength is made perfect in

[25:41] weakness now I'm going to pause there

[25:43] that's what God Said to to Paul my grace

[25:46] is sufficient for thee for my strength

[25:50] is made perfect in weakness when we

[25:53] recognize God as our strength we

[25:56] understand this in order for him to be

[25:59] evidently strong in our life has to come

[26:03] in moments of weakness of us as John the

[26:06] Baptist said he must increase and I must

[26:09] decrease in order to see the strength of

[26:11] God on display in your life and in my

[26:14] life we have to recognize we're weak we

[26:19] can't you know we need God's

[26:23] help we need God's

[26:25] strength and it's in our moments of

[26:28] weakness when his strength is

[26:31] evident when we try to do life in our

[26:33] own strength we don't have enough we're

[26:36] not able to we're not strong enough but

[26:39] when we do it in God's strength he says

[26:41] that my strength is made perfect in

[26:45] weakness it's more than enough it's

[26:47] everything that you and I would need and

[26:50] so God is our strength he's my strength

[26:54] so how strong is your

[26:56] God how strong is your

[27:01] god he he's he's pretty strong he's

[27:06] unmeasurably strong we could not measure

[27:08] the strength of God God's bigger than

[27:12] that he's stronger than that you know

[27:14] and and he's a big God he he's the god

[27:17] that if he chooses to cure cancer in

[27:20] someone's life he can do that he's he's

[27:22] stronger than cancer he he's stronger

[27:25] than other infirmities that people deal

[27:27] with he he's stronger than that he's

[27:29] stronger than addictions he's stronger

[27:31] than sin struggles he's stronger than

[27:33] that and when you and I try to do life

[27:36] with apart from him we fail miserably

[27:39] but when we recognize that he is my

[27:42] strength he's personally involved in my

[27:45] life he's the strength that I need when

[27:47] I get out of the way I can recognize

[27:50] that God is my

[27:52] strength we're only at seven there's 12

[27:55] so we're just passed halfway but hang on

[27:57] with me if you would in Psalm 18 not

[28:00] only did he say that he's my rock and

[28:02] he's my Fortress that he's my deliverer

[28:05] my God my strength notice this next

[28:09] phrase in whom I will

[28:15] trust in whom I will

[28:20] trust David writes to us about his trust

[28:25] in God in whom I will trust in Psalm 56

[28:31] verse number three it says what time I

[28:33] am afraid I will trust in thee what time

[28:39] I am afraid I will trust in thee and

[28:41] many of us know Psalm

[28:45] 563 but did you know the chapter doesn't

[28:47] end in verse three it continues on and

[28:51] in verse number four it gives us a very

[28:54] powerful truth that you and I need to

[28:56] hang on to tonight

[28:58] it says in God I will praise His

[29:04] word I have put my trust excuse me in

[29:08] God I will praise His word in God I have

[29:11] put my trust I will not fear what flesh

[29:14] can do unto me so David says I trust God

[29:20] I will put my trust in him he made an I

[29:23] will statement I will put my trust in

[29:27] him and then in verse four says I have

[29:28] put my trust in God and he will not fear

[29:32] what man shall do unto him what flesh

[29:34] shall do unto me said in God I have put

[29:38] my trust not just a a will but I have

[29:42] you know in our lives we need to trust

[29:44] God God's

[29:45] trustworthy now now when David wh when

[29:49] the Philistines took him to gath that's

[29:50] when Psalm 56 is written he's under

[29:53] Philistine captivity at this moment in

[29:55] time David's in a perilous situation

[29:59] he's in a situation that he could be

[30:00] fearful and in that moment he says what

[30:03] time I am afraid I will trust in

[30:06] thee in the very next verse he says I

[30:09] have put my trust in thee and I will not

[30:13] fear so in our lives God is

[30:17] trustworthy aren't you thankful your God

[30:19] is trustworthy that you can trust him

[30:23] and you can put your trust in him so

[30:25] David says in whom I will

[30:29] trust after that he says he's my buckler

[30:33] which is a shield it's another type of

[30:35] Shield he's he's my buckler he's my

[30:38] shield David Goes On he says he's the

[30:41] Horn of my

[30:44] salvation he's the Horn of my salvation

[30:47] strength and power are recognized at the

[30:49] Horn of my salvation the strength of our

[30:51] Salvation is in the

[30:53] Lord the the power of our Salvation is

[30:56] in the Lord he's the one who saves he's

[30:59] the one who gives strength he's the one

[31:02] who helps and so David writes that he is

[31:04] the Horn of my

[31:08] salvation but the verse isn't over yet

[31:10] we're still in verse two and he says and

[31:14] my high

[31:17] tower David says to the Lord he is my

[31:20] high tower a

[31:23] defense he is the one that sees and

[31:27] knows

[31:28] what life is going to bring during the

[31:32] time of David there were many areas they

[31:33] had the high towers and the purpose was

[31:36] to give them opportunity to look out and

[31:38] to see if the enemy was coming to see

[31:41] what was approaching and the Lord is our

[31:43] high tower the Lord already knows what's

[31:45] in your tomorrow he already knows what's

[31:47] ahead he already knows what you're going

[31:48] to face he already knows what life's

[31:51] going to bring at you and so you can run

[31:55] to him because he's your high tower he's

[31:58] your strength he's your Shield he's your

[32:00] comfort he's your help he's your Refuge

[32:03] you can run to him now David after he

[32:07] gets through all of these things about

[32:09] God there's another thing he says in

[32:11] verse number

[32:13] three I

[32:14] will call upon the

[32:20] Lord I will call upon the Lord who is

[32:23] worthy to be praised so shall I be saved

[32:27] from

[32:28] mine enemies David says I will call upon

[32:33] the Lord I will

[32:35] pray now we've gotten toward the end of

[32:39] the message but we're not through

[32:41] yet David says I will pray and part of

[32:46] the reason he says that is because God

[32:48] is worthy to be praised and so shall I

[32:51] be saved from mine enemies now in

[32:54] beginning at the beginning of the

[32:55] message we talked about 2 Samuel chapter

[32:58] number 22 when David said that the the

[33:02] writing that we find here in Psalm 18

[33:04] and also in 2 Samuel 22 but David's

[33:07] toward the end of his kingly

[33:09] reign in other words David says the

[33:11] Lord's worthy to be praised I will call

[33:13] upon the Lord who is worthy to prais

[33:15] I'll pray to the Lord who is worthy to

[33:18] be praised for all the

[33:21] things in the previous

[33:24] verses all the things that he is who who

[33:27] he is my shield my strength my

[33:32] buckler my the Horn of my salvation my

[33:36] rock my Fortress my deliver for all the

[33:39] things that God is David says I will

[33:43] call upon the Lord who is worthy to be

[33:46] praised and so shall I be safe from my

[33:50] enemies God's done it before God will do

[33:53] it again in other words David says I'll

[33:56] call upon the Lord for all the things

[33:58] listed above that he is and for all the

[34:01] things that he has

[34:04] done David says I will call upon the

[34:08] Lord I'm going to praise him for all

[34:11] that he's

[34:13] done as I was thinking about that

[34:18] today sometimes in our Christian Life we

[34:22] only

[34:23] pray to get things from God help

[34:29] strength

[34:31] breath we have a tendency to pray to God

[34:34] for what we

[34:37] need instead of just communicating with

[34:40] the father because we love

[34:44] him we know we need God we need his

[34:48] strength we need his help we need his

[34:49] grace we need his Mercy we need his

[34:51] longsuffering this we need his

[34:53] deliverance we need all of those

[34:56] things but some

[34:58] sometimes child of God we we need to

[35:00] recognize that we don't just need to

[35:03] pray to get from God what we need we

[35:06] need to communicate with the father

[35:08] because we love

[35:11] him I thinking about it

[35:14] today know sometimes I I call my wife on

[35:18] the phone not because I need something

[35:20] from her but just to hear her

[35:24] voice sometimes I call my wife not

[35:26] because I need something from her but

[35:28] just to hear her

[35:30] voice but it's it's even better than

[35:32] that now now that I've got her to go

[35:35] from Team Android to team iPhone I I can

[35:38] also FaceTime her which means I can call

[35:41] her just to see

[35:45] her you may say preacher why would you

[35:47] do that well it's because I love

[35:49] her because I love her I want to hear

[35:52] her voice and I want to see

[35:54] her and it's not always about getting

[35:56] something from her

[35:59] her but it is getting to see her and to

[36:04] communicate with her because of the love

[36:06] that I have for

[36:08] her and in our relationship with God we

[36:12] ought to communicate with God because we

[36:15] love

[36:17] him not just because we need something

[36:20] from

[36:21] him when's the last

[36:24] time when's the last time you

[36:28] prayed not for what you

[36:31] need but prayed a prayer of praise and

[36:37] thanksgiving for who God is and what he

[36:42] has

[36:45] done when was the last time you

[36:48] communicated with the father just

[36:50] because you love

[36:53] him not not not because of a prayer

[36:56] request

[36:58] not out of Duty not out of habit when

[37:01] was the last time you really

[37:02] communicated with God just

[37:06] because you love

[37:08] him just because you wanted to hear in

[37:12] his word what he had for

[37:14] you just because you wanted to see his

[37:18] face well sometimes in our Christian

[37:21] Life we can get so wrapped up and all

[37:25] the things that God is doing

[37:28] that we just want him to continue to do

[37:30] it and we don't stop to praise him and

[37:34] love on him he loves

[37:40] us so we

[37:42] should tell

[37:45] him I will call upon the Lord who is

[37:49] worthy to be

[37:51] praised David encourages Us in the first

[37:55] two verses of all the things that God

[37:58] is and David makes a I will statement I

[38:03] will love the Lord and I will call upon

[38:08] him so how about

[38:11] it when's the last time God heard a love

[38:15] message from you Lord I love

[38:21] you Lord I I love who you are in my life

[38:25] I love how you're working in my

[38:29] life Lord I love that you're my tower my

[38:33] strong

[38:34] tower Lord I I love that you're my rock

[38:37] and my

[38:39] Fortress when's the last time God heard

[38:42] from you about how much you love

[38:47] him think about it

[38:50] tonight David nearing the end of his

[38:53] kingly

[38:54] Reign had a lot of memories

[38:58] a lot of

[38:59] moments of things that God had

[39:02] done and tonight you and I we've got a

[39:06] lot of

[39:07] moments a lot of

[39:09] memories of things God has

[39:12] done will you call upon the Lord It's a

[39:16] I will I will David said it's a I will

[39:20] statement let's not just pray to get

[39:23] from God what we

[39:25] need but let's communicate with the

[39:28] father

[39:29] because we love

[39:33] him

[39:37] tonight Oh How He Loves You and

[39:41] Me Oh How He loves you and me he gave

[39:46] his life what more could he give Oh How

[39:52] He loves you and

[39:55] me but tonight

[40:01] could he say of

[40:03] us oh how my child loves

[40:08] me oh how my child loves

[40:14] me have you told him

[40:17] lately have you talked to him about how

[40:20] you love him how thankful you are for

[40:24] him

[40:26] tonight let's on

[40:30] purpose seek his face tell him that we

[40:33] love him let's let's do that

[40:37] tonight would you do that would you tell

[40:40] God

[40:41] God I love

[40:44] you I love you for all the things you've

[40:47] done and for who you

[40:49] are and God I I just wanted to let you

[40:55] know it's kind of like a man that I

[40:58] heard who had a child in

[41:02] college the phone rang and he saw in the

[41:05] caller ID it was his college student

[41:10] child and he picked up the phone he

[41:12] talked and a few minutes went

[41:16] by finally there was a pause in the

[41:18] conversation and the father said to the

[41:21] child hey what do you

[41:25] need there's some quiet on the other

[41:28] side

[41:29] and the student

[41:31] responded I don't need

[41:34] anything I just wanted to hear your

[41:37] voice and just wanted to let you know

[41:39] that I love

[41:42] you I wonder if God wants to hear from

[41:45] us just like that father heard from

[41:47] their child I don't need anything right

[41:51] now but I just wanted to let you know

[41:53] that I love

[41:55] you how about about it

[41:58] tonight when's the last time God heard

[42:00] from you on how much you love

[42:03] him I'm going to have a word of prayer

[42:06] with you then we're goingon to take some

[42:06] prayer requests if there are any and

[42:09] then we're going to pray over those

[42:10] requests and we'll have one last song

[42:13] and we'll end our live stream tonight

[42:16] dear heavenly father

[42:17] Lord so thankful for

[42:21] you Lord I pray you'd help me to do

[42:24] better

[42:27] praying not just for what I

[42:30] need but praying prayers of

[42:34] Praise just thanking

[42:37] you just letting you know that Lord I

[42:40] love you I'm so thankful for

[42:43] you I'm thankful for all that you've

[42:46] done and all that you do and how you

[42:49] work in my

[42:50] life Lord I pray tonight that you'd help

[42:55] me to love you more

[42:58] and to express it

[43:00] more Lord thank you for our time

[43:04] together thank you for the technology

[43:06] that we have available to live stream

[43:14] amen tonight if you got a prayer request

[43:17] would you place it in the comments we're

[43:19] going to have a song and then right

[43:21] after that song We'll have a time of

[43:24] prayer and if there's any prayer

[43:26] requests we will

[43:27] pray over those

[43:29] requests but I hope and I encourage

[43:33] you let's do business with God and if

[43:36] you got a prayer request please leave it

[43:38] in the comments

[43:44] [Music]

[44:01] impending

[44:04] storm

[44:06] ahead I can see the dark

[44:11] clouds there's no

[44:13] way around it there is no way

[44:20] out there was

[44:23] D All Around Me surely

[44:28] I

[44:30] would then the for of his
