[21:22] desire in the lust of our flesh

[23:16] not stop and get distracted by the

[23:19] things of this

[23:21] world but help us also Lord to be doers

[23:25] of the

[23:26] word Lord I pray today if there's

[23:28] someone in this congregation that does

[23:30] not know you as Savior that Lord today

[23:34] the Holy Spirit would stop by would

[23:37] convict their heart and Lord this

[23:40] morning they would

[23:42] respond to that conviction and accept

[23:44] you as their savior today in your name I

[24:08] dead now what part of you was

[24:11] dead your body wasn't

[24:14] dead your soul wasn't

[24:17] dead your spirit was

[24:21] dead you had no Spirit it was

[24:27] dead but God quickened your spirit but

[24:32] look how you were

[24:34] dead you were dead in

[24:38] trespasses and

[24:41] sins everybody in the room has a

[24:47] past everybody in the room has a sin

[24:52] nature everybody in the room was dead if

[24:57] you're saved now you were are

[25:00] dead you were dead in trespasses and

[25:04] sins notice they're

[25:06] plural you were

[25:09] Wicked come on you were Wicked we were

[25:14] Wicked we were sinful but hallelujah

[25:17] what a

[25:18] savior we were dead in

[25:21] trespasses and in

[25:24] sins but also he says in verse two

[25:28] wherein in times past you walked

[25:32] according to the course of this world in

[25:36] times past ye walked according to the

[25:41] course Sinners

[25:45] sin that's real deep theology there

[25:48] isn't it Sinners

[25:51] sin unsaved people behave like unsaved

[25:56] people

[26:00] so were you and I when we were Sinners

[26:05] undone and un un redeemed and dead in

[26:08] our sins and trespasses we behave like

[26:14] Sinners and the unsaved World behaves

[26:17] like the unsaved

[26:20] World we're in the month of

[26:24] June you're like yeah it's June well

[26:27] according to the world supposed to be

[26:29] pride

[26:31] month pride in their

[26:35] sin we're to be prideful in our sin so

[26:38] our sin we ought to have pride which

[26:41] pride is a sin and we ought to be sinful

[26:43] in our

[26:45] sin that's the world we live

[26:48] in so a preacher you need to be

[26:51] accepting hey there's a difference

[26:52] between acceptance and love amen God

[26:56] loves Sinners amen Romans 58 but God

[26:58] committed his love toward us and that

[27:00] while we're yet sinners Christ died for

[27:02] us God loves

[27:05] Sinners but he hates

[27:09] sin acceptance of sin is contrary to

[27:13] what God wants for

[27:16] believers so unsaved people behave like

[27:20] unsaved

[27:22] people siners sin so he says in the time

[27:25] pass we walked according to the course

[27:28] of this world according to the prince of

[27:32] the power of the

[27:34] air who would that be your father the

[27:39] devil The Prince and power of the air is

[27:41] Satan

[27:43] himself so before you got saved you live

[27:46] for

[27:49] Satan so not me preacher I didn't

[27:51] worship Satan you did if you weren't

[27:54] worshiping God you were worshiping him

[27:57] amen CU that's all he wants he just

[27:59] wants you to be distracted from

[28:01] worshiping God he wants you to be

[28:02] focused on worship in him

[28:05] amen so he says he's a prince and power

[28:08] there so you behave like the devil

[28:10] wanted you to behave before you got

[28:15] saved you followed the course of this

[28:20] world the worldly course you were on

[28:22] course you were on track to follow the

[28:25] worldly course you were

[28:28] following the course according to Prince

[28:30] and power of the air you were under the

[28:32] influence of

[28:34] Satan and the spirit that now worketh in

[28:38] the children of Disobedience Satan's

[28:41] still at

[28:43] work and he's working on unsaved

[28:47] people and it's the spirit of

[28:49] Disobedience Disobedience to who

[28:51] Disobedience to

[28:53] God so the spirit's working

[28:58] now I want to point out some things to

[29:03] you this morning sorry sound man I'm

[29:25] past in times past

[30:35] unsaved people behave the same

[30:38] way according to the power of the prince

[30:41] and power of the air according to the

[30:43] course of this world because their own

[30:45] lust of their flesh and lust of their

[30:48] mind that's what they

[30:52] do but you were

[30:55] dead and now you're alive

[30:58] in your past you walked according to the

[31:01] course of this world in your past your

[31:04] conversation was in the

[31:08] times but there's a problem

[31:15] here one of the problems for

[31:19] believers is it's still not time

[31:26] passed what does that mean

[31:28] mean it's not staying in your past

[31:33] right you are

[31:35] still walking in

[31:38] trespasses and in sins even though

[31:41] you've been quickened and you're not

[31:43] supposed to anymore that's right even

[31:45] though the course has

[31:47] changed you're still running in the old

[31:51] course you're still following the old

[31:54] path and it's not The Godly old path

[31:57] it's the Satan's old path you're still

[32:00] following the conversation of your

[32:03] former self before you got

[32:08] saved and that's a problem in the Church

[32:11] of

[32:13] today is that we have a hard time being

[32:16] holy because we're playing in the mud of

[32:21] sin we're playing in our

[32:24] past here's something about your past

[32:27] are you ready ready leave your past in

[32:29] the

[32:31] past don't bring it to the

[32:34] present well I used to do this and I

[32:36] used to do this before I got saved well

[32:39] don't be doing that no

[32:41] more leave it back

[32:48] there's nothing in the world for me

[33:14] enjoyment of sin is

[33:18] seasonal the consequences of sin could

[33:25] longer it's fun for a little bit to play

[33:28] around with sin but there's consequences

[33:32] after that so he tells

[33:35] us who we were you were

[33:41] Wicked you were a

[33:43] sinner you were dead and tresp you had

[33:47] no

[33:49] hope but the text doesn't end in verse

[33:52] three in verse four you ought to

[33:56] underline it but go

[33:58] God when you find a but God moment you

[34:01] might want to underline it in your Bible

[34:04] but God who has a little

[34:06] Mercy is that what it says no who is

[34:10] rich in Mercy for his great love

[34:15] wherewith he loved us when did God love

[34:23] you when you were a sinner when you were

[34:26] dead and trespasses and in

[34:30] sins God is the only one who takes

[34:33] broken messed

[35:08] of you would say Goliath and some would

[35:11] Sheba because we seem to be defined by

[35:14] our high moments and our low moments but

[35:16] not our life in

[35:18] between but David was a man at one time

[35:21] Who Loved God but he got into sin and he

[35:23] committed adultery and he caused a

[35:25] murder but God

[35:28] cleaned him

[35:30] up and used

[35:32] him we could go all the way down the

[35:34] list of all the people who had issues in

[35:38] their life we've talk about Mary

[35:40] Magdalene who had Seven Devils cast out

[35:42] of her and God we talk about Rahab who's

[35:44] a harlot who's in the lineage of Jesus

[35:47] Christ we're talk about all sorts of

[35:50] people who had a past but God Amen

[35:53] stepped in to their Liv but God who is

[35:57] rich in in Mercy he loved us even though

[36:01] we were

[36:03] dead the world we live in they look at a

[36:07] a person who's

[36:10] alive and even a doctor would say I can

[36:12] do something with that

[36:14] body as long as they're alive I could

[36:17] Harvest organs I could do something but

[36:19] once they're

[36:22] dead they're

[36:24] dead they are without

[36:28] it's to the Grave or it's to the

[36:31] furnace they either cremate them burn

[36:34] them up or it's to the Grave they're

[36:36] dead humanly speaking there is nothing

[36:41] that they can do but God works in the

[36:45] dead

[36:46] people the people who were dead in their

[36:49] Spirit God brings them to life the

[36:52] people who had no hope God brings hope

[36:54] to them the people who had no hope he

[36:57] quickened us he made us alive now I want

[37:01] you to look at these words

[37:04] quickened he quickened us look at verse

[37:08] five even when we were dead in sins and

[37:13] hath quickened us together with Christ

[37:16] by Grace ye are saved he quickened us so

[37:20] there's quickened there and he and hath

[37:24] raised us up together

[37:28] and made us sit together in Heavenly

[37:33] places in Christ Jesus he quickened us

[37:38] he raised us and he made us to sit

[37:42] together all of those happen

[37:48] instantaneously that aist tense reveals

[37:51] to us that happen in a moment in a

[37:54] moment he quickened

[37:55] you in a moment moment he raised us up

[38:00] to sit together and have a you already

[38:02] got a seat at the table he's already

[38:05] prepared a place for

[38:07] you when God looks at you he doesn't see

[38:11] your sin instead he sees the blood of

[38:14] Jesus Christ that has cleansed you from

[38:16] all

[38:17] sin he raised us up he made us sit

[38:22] together for what purpose well the end

[38:24] of verse seven explains it

[38:28] that in the ages to come he might show

[38:49] now it tells us in Verses 4 through 7

[38:52] God's rich in Mercy and he loved us even

[38:59] even though you are a

[39:01] sinner even though you have sinned he

[39:04] still loves

[39:06] you even though you have a past he still

[39:09] loves

[39:12] you but he quickened you he made you

[39:14] alive in Christ Jesus he raised us up

[39:17] and made us sit together for a reason to

[39:21] show him to others

[39:27] verse seven let's read it that in the

[39:30] ages to come he might show the exceeding

[39:32] Riches of his grace in his kindness

[39:38] towards us through Christ Jesus he did

[39:42] it for us so we can show others

[39:46] him now let me ask you a

[39:49] question if God did

[39:52] that he quickened you he raised you up

[39:55] he made us to sit together to show him

[39:57] to

[39:59] others when others look at you do they

[40:02] see

[40:04] him or when others look at you do they

[40:07] see

[40:10] you so they see me preacher because you

[40:14] know Jesus's face isn't on my face they

[40:18] me I want you to think about it for just

[40:21] a

[40:22] moment the Bible talks about the fruit

[40:24] of the spirit should be evident in our

[40:27] lives lives when we're walking in the

[40:30] spirit behaviors and attitudes and

[40:33] thought processes like Jesus ought to be

[40:35] evident in the life of

[40:38] Believers amen don't you think about

[40:43] it when others look at you do they see

[40:46] Jesus in

[40:48] you

[40:50] or do they see a person just like them

[40:54] who just isn't get to sleep in on Sunday

[40:59] do they see a person just like them who

[43:00] we don't know how you behave during the

[43:06] does some of us might want to take

[43:10] inventory and allow God to play the DVR

[43:20] has to see if we truly lived a life

[43:27] if we have not lived differently from

[43:47] them what would their answer

[43:54] be what would their answer be you

[43:58] anger so they say Well they're an angry

[44:03] am well you're not supposed to be that

[44:07] way they say well they have a gift they

[44:14] complainer some of you have that

[44:23] God but some of you may possess that

[62:43] dishes that we had I had to let it soak

[62:49] bit to loosen up some things so it'd be

[62:57] but still took some elbow grease and
