[0:00] I'm Katie Kurrick. Let's make a deal.
[0:02] The White House and Republican mavericks
[0:04] are moving toward a compromise on terror
[0:06] suspects. What will it mean for CIA
[0:08] interrogators desperate for information?
[0:11] The Pope says he's sorry for remarks
[0:13] that offended Muslims, but that isn't
[0:15] stopping protests, some violent, all
[0:17] around the world. The E.coli outbreak

[1:09] the White House is giving the Senate
[1:11] Armed Services Committee a revised
[1:14] written proposal. There's no deal yet,
[1:16] but the two sides have been talking all
[1:18] day, and one of the people familiar with
[1:20] all this says the doors are open again,
[1:22] and both sides now believe there's a
[1:25] good chance to find an agreement.
[1:27] Sources tell us what the president wants
[1:30] is an explicit assurance in the law that
[1:32] the CIA can continue to effectively
