[0:00] CBS Evening News. Good night.

[0:01] Good evening. I'm Bob Schieffer. They

[0:03] are still looking for victims of that

[0:05] powerful earthquake in Indonesia.

[0:07] Thousands may be dead. And we'll give

[0:10] you a first-hand look tonight at some of

[0:12] the damage. That's where we start, then

[0:14] we'll have these stories.

[0:16] I'm Lee Cowan. A former Boy Scout leader

[0:18] is charged with downloading child

[1:16] earthquake that struck last night

[1:17] brought down countless buildings on Nias

[1:22] epicenter. Barry Petersen is in the

[1:24] quake zone tonight.

[1:28] From the air, the damage was spotty. In

[1:31] some areas, reports said up to 70% of

[1:33] the buildings collapsed. In other areas,

[1:36] many buildings and houses were

[1:38] untouched.

[1:39] Through the day, rescuers desperately

[1:41] tore through the rubble, hampered by a
