[0:02] Thank you.

[0:31] Is it possible when we meditate to neither depend on a specific practice or focus of attention, nor try to rest or look for some kind of peace or even actively surrender, but find a middle ground?

[1:05] This is the sweet spot of meditation where we're not moving toward anything.

[1:15] We're not moving away from anything.

[1:23] Well, we don't need anything specific to happen.

[1:29] And at the same time, there's nothing that we want to prevent from happening.

[1:45] There are no forbidden experiences in meditation.

[1:51] There are no desired experiences in meditation.

[1:58] There is just vivid experience, however that is for you right now.

[2:10] So that is a thought or the purity of consciousness or a weight or heaviness somewhere in the body.

[2:31] Or the soundscape penetrating all of the environment.

[2:40] None of these are preferable.

[2:45] They just are.

[2:53] So however this moves, it's just right.

[3:05] Reality shows us what just right means when we don't try to push on it and we don't try to pull on it.

[3:23] We don't try to make this experience more of something or less of something.

[3:32] We don't try to hold it in a particular space.

[3:44] This experience can be anywhere on a spectrum.

[3:50] And it can be on any spectrum.

[3:59] It can stand still.

[4:03] Move.

[4:10] Morph and change and flow.

[4:17] And it can be where nothing has ever moved.

[4:24] Nothing has ever changed.

[4:28] Nothing has ever come into being.

[4:37] none of these realities are

[4:40] off limits

[4:43] because there are no limits

[5:07] so

[5:41] If we find ourselves in the mind, in thoughts,

[5:48] that's carried away from this moment,

[6:01] we can just open the aperture of our knowing just a little bit.

[6:17] Notice the soundscape, notice what's already here, notice what does not have to be contrived,

[6:39] notice what does not have to be produced, notice what does not have to be uncovered,

[6:59] it's that immediate, it can be heavy or light, can be structured or pixelated,

[7:23] it can be vibrational or solid,

[7:34] but it is already.

[7:41] Even noticing takes a bit too much time.

[7:52] What is it that's so close we don't even have to reflect on it?

[8:05] What is it that's so obvious we don't even have to notice it?

[8:16] Because it is already.

[8:18] What is it that's so obvious we don't have to reflect on it?

[8:51] This is freedom.

[9:00] Freedom from having to go out toward experience.

[9:08] Freedom from having to pick and choose experience.

[9:19] Freedom from having to manage anything, internal or external.

[9:30] Freedom from having to construct a boundary between internal and external.

[9:57] And freedom from having to try to end the struggle.

[10:20] Freedom from having to try to end the struggle.

[10:27] Freedom from having to fixate in solidity.

[10:38] Not having to fixate in the substance-less.

[10:47] I'm not having to fixate in the substance-less.

[10:54] There's no need to make those distinctions here.

[11:29] This is freedom from having to reject any experience, whether it's a sensory experience, a visual experience, or an auditory experience.

[11:54] A movement of thought.

[12:00] Nothing is held at a distance.

[12:09] When we don't evaluate, there's no distance.

[12:16] Just contact.

[12:23] And the contact is in all directions and on all sides.

[12:36] There aren't objects on either side of the contact.

[12:42] There is just contact.

[12:46] Which is fluid.

[12:58] Centerless.

[13:04] Boundless.

[13:17] Formless.

[13:28] So how do we inhabit formlessness?

[13:34] We instantly stop trying to inhabit anything specific.

[13:47] Then we find our true position immediately.

[13:51] Here.

[13:53] Without form.

[14:00] Without agenda.

[14:20] This is unconditioned.

[14:37] Unfiltered.

[14:50] Unadorned.

[14:54] Just as it is.

[15:03] Just enough.

[15:11] And more than enough.

[15:14] Just enough.

[15:24] There.

[15:31] And there.

[15:36] There.

[15:50] Thank you.

[16:43] When we realize we don't have to hold a position on anything in regards to our identity, we're

[16:56] immediately free.

[17:08] Pain and pleasure are no longer a concern because everything is accommodated.

[17:22] Nothing standing apart from anything else, there is only what is, which can be anything,

[17:36] any one thing, and it can be everything.

[17:53] And it can be everything expressing as one thing, or one non-thing.

[18:10] One sound, one contraction, one tingle in the fingertips.

[18:32] One movement of the chest on the in-breath and on the out-breath.

[18:44] And that's all you need, because everything is already there.

[18:56] Every possibility is right there.

[19:09] If you don't hold back as a perceiver, and just know it exactly as it is.

[19:15] Let's go.

[19:53] Thank you.

[21:31] This is the world of non-distinction.

[21:39] Where warmth and coolness are one.

[21:52] Focused attention and relaxed attention are indistinguishable.

[22:10] Sound and silence are one and the same.

[22:26] Awake and asleep are not opposites.

[22:39] Where is it that no distinctions are made?

[22:52] Where does that question arise?

[22:58] Where does every question arise?

[23:04] Where does every perception arise?

[23:12] Where does every doubt arise?

[23:25] Where does arising meet dissolving?

[23:30] There are no doubt.

[23:39] Let's go.

[24:03] Thank you.
