[0:00] writer Carroll is best known for

[0:02] inventing bullet journaling a practice

[0:04] which transforms any notebook into a

[0:06] place for mindfulness productivity and

[0:08] note making but what you might not know

[0:10] is how Ryder combines this system with

[0:13] this one is digital world I need

[0:15] something to help me remember all the

[0:18] things that resonate with me my second

[0:21] brain is just a way of making sure that

[0:23] my good ideas remain tucked away

[0:26] somewhere that I can access them Thiago

[0:28] sat down with Ryder and got him to

[0:29] reveal all the ways he structures his

[0:32] second brain the physical and digital

[0:33] system that guides his personal and

[0:35] creative life but first what is a bullet

[0:38] Journal

[0:40] I like to think of it as a mindfulness

[0:42] practice that's disguised as a

[0:44] productivity system so I kind of have

[0:45] this rule where anything that comes into

[0:47] my mind goes right into the notebook and

[0:49] then I can figure out where to put it

[0:51] later every time you ask yourself where

[0:53] does this go you have the answer you

[0:55] just bring in your notebook and it's

[0:56] always compatible it's this idea of not

[0:58] having to worry about where your

[1:00] thoughts go and then the paper notebook

[1:01] is just the the physical manifestation

[1:03] of that philosophy yeah it's basically

[1:06] the tool we use to execute a way of

[1:08] thinking a bullet Journal is created by

[1:10] recording your notes as bullets in any

[1:12] blank journal in bullet Journal we have

[1:14] different kinds of bullet points right

[1:15] we have tasks events and nodes but that

[1:18] way I can very quickly skim the margin

[1:20] of the page to see like what do I have

[1:21] to do wha
