[0:42] Tonight. I'm John Tes
[0:44] >> and I'm Mary Hart. When Meyer Street
[0:46] found out her new movie was going to be
[0:47] filmed on the water, she may well have
[0:49] had visions of Cleopatra cruising down
[0:51] the Nile, dragging a petite hand in the
[0:53] current. Turns out the pace was much
[0:55] quicker than she had anticipated and she
[0:57] needed both hands on the oars. And as
[0:59] Bob Goen reports, Merryill was nearly
[1:01] scared out of her wits.
[1:06] Believe it or not, that is Merryill
[1:08] Street risking life and limb in the
[1:10] midst of raging whitewater. She didn't
[1:12] know that she was getting in over her
[1:13] head for her new film, The River Wild.
[1:19] I thought it was a movie, so there's a
[1:21] lot of it that can be faked, you know?
[1:23] Right.
[1:24] >> I thought that they'd put me on shore,
[1:26] like we're on the boat and they'd shake
[1:28] it and I'd look like I was
[1:30] But [clears throat]
[1:32] >> the background doesn't move fast enough
[1:35] when you do it that way. So, I had to
