[0:47] a lot of holiday Travelers are going
[0:50] nowhere fast it may look like a raging
[0:53] River but those motorists are really
[0:55] being rescued from a broken water Mage
[0:58] and the vacationing president-elect
[1:00] reports his staff had no improper
[1:02] dealings with the Illinois
[1:06] governor this is the CBS Morning News

[1:14] 2008 good morning and thanks for joining
[1:17] us I'm Michelle Gillen whether they're
[1:19] taking Planes Trains or automobiles a
[1:21] lot of holiday Travelers are dealing
[1:23] with long delays or worse this Christmas
[1:26] Eve the biggest problems are in the
[1:27] Midwest and Chicago is is the snow
[1:30] clogged Hub of the whole Frozen
[1:32] frustrating
[1:35] mess Chicagoans have seen it before the
[1:38] Frozen in cars and nearly impassible
[1:42] streets but that doesn't make digging
[1:44] out any more fun and it certainly isn't
[1:47] Fun waiting and waiting for an Amtrak
[1:49] train that never seems to arrive or an
[1:52] airline flight that never seems to leave
[1:54] hundreds of flights have been cancelled
[1:56] at O'Hare Airport our flight was delayed
[1:59] 7 hours out of New York yesterday and we
[2:01] got in
