[0:25] now we know that there was roof work
[0:27] being done a roof replacement type of
[0:30] project it's unclear what role that may
[0:32] have played in this building collapsing
[0:35] there was a building next door another
[0:37] Condo building that was built last year
[0:39] and one man the former vice mayor of
[0:42] Surfside Barry Cohen said that during
[0:44] that construction project there was a
[0:46] lot of rumbling and that was shaking his
[0:48] building Champlain Tower South so he
[0:51] wonders if that could have affected the
[0:52] structural Integrity of the building now
[0:54] the people who were evacuated they were
[0:56] taken to a community center and are
[0:58] waiting to be brought to a hotel the
[1:00] American Red Cross is involved in
[1:01] working to get these people a place to
[1:03] stay because this building they cannot
[1:06] go back into it even though all their
[1:07] belongings are in there this is not a
[1:10] safe place to be right now this building
[1:12] will likely have to be demolished
[1:13] according to the mayor he says that the
[1:15] search of the non-damaged units is
[1:18] complete but the search of the damaged
[1:20] units is ongoing 15 family units he says
