[0:00] Good Day Oregon is now on at 5:00 a.m.
[0:02] because you're up at 5:00 a.m.
[0:11] Attack on the internet. For the third
[0:13] straight day, hackers bring popular
[0:15] websites to a grinding halt. It's war on
[0:18] the internet. Good evening. I'm Curt
[0:20] Ledllo
[0:20] >> and I'm Kim Singer. Today, hackers
[0:22] bombarded top financial sites. The
[0:24] targets included Erade, the online
[0:27] brokerage website. Traffic on that site
[0:29] was clogged for about 90 minutes before
[0:31] the company was able to blunt the
[0:33] attack. Erade claims customers accounts

[1:04] interfere with and to disrupt legitimate
[1:07] electronic commerce. That is the reason
[1:10] the FBI has initiated a criminal
[1:12] investigation into these matters.
[1:16] >> Experts say part of the internet
[1:18] backbone itself suffered a breakdown on
[1:20] Monday, slowing traffic to all websites
[1:22] to some degree. and security experts
[1:25] have noticed that these attacks come at
[1:27] the same time internet service providers
[1:29] have been meeting in San Jose,
[1:31] California.
[1:31] >> Well, so far these cyber vandals have
[1:34] only inconvenienced computer users. But
[1:36] if they can tie up these popular sites,
[1:38] could they gain access to
