[0:24] were ready to charge him instead of
[0:26] sending police out with a squad car
[0:28] handcuffs and bring him in
[0:31] uh they allowed this extraordinary
[0:32] situation of him to be taken to a
[0:34] friend's house and spend hours there
[0:37] that's right the lawyer um Shapiro said
[0:39] in fact that he gave the police the
[0:41] address of where he was gave the
[0:43] location and promised that he would
[0:45] bring him in at 11:00 a.m. but in fact
[0:48] the police didn't immediately go there
[0:50] uh they uh waited for the lawyer to uh
[0:53] uh you know to Signal the amount the
[0:55] time that he should bring him in for
[0:58] just a second let's see if we can pick
[0:59] up a little of live coverage from our
[1:01] Los Angeles station just to get a flavor
[1:03] of what's going on here and then we'll
[1:05] resume our commentary from New York

[1:11] been reporting on that he is flying over
[1:14] um traffic is is slowing down quite a
