[0:00] and stay asleep longer so you wake up

[0:02] refreshed, not groggy. Until you know

[0:05] how ambient will affect you, you

[0:07] shouldn't drive or operate machinery.

[0:09] Side effects may include drowsiness,

[0:11] dizziness, and diarrhea. You shouldn't

[0:12] take it with alcohol. All people taking

[0:15] sleep medicines have some risk of

[0:16] becoming dependent on the medicine.

[0:18] Prescription sleep aids are most often

[0:20] taken for 7 to 10 days as needed or

[0:22] longer as advised by your doctor. Memory

[0:25] problems can usually be avoided by

[0:27] taking Ambient only when you can devote

[0:29] 7 to 8 hours to sleep. Talk to your

[0:32] doctor about Ambient. Ambient works like

[0:36] a dream.

[0:38] >> 9:00 a.m. I trust everyone's had their

[0:40] morning fiber.

[0:41] >> Hey, that doesn't look very fiberful.

[0:43] >> I'll trade you some great tasting fiber

[0:44] for your chopper.

[0:46] >> Just kidding.

[0:47] >> My advice, never eat fiber bigger than

[0:49] your head.

[0:50] >> This is what you want, my friend.

[0:51] Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheat. Sweet,

[0:53] crunchy, just the way you like it. And

[0:55] one serving, almost 25% of the fiber you

[0:57] need in a day. So, what do you think?

[1:00] >> M fiber.

[1:02] >> M fiber.

[1:03] >> M fiber.

[1:04] >> Give me high fiber.

[1:08] >> Joining us now is the senior United

[1:10] States Senator from the state of

[1:11] Delaware, Joseph Biden, the ranking

[1:13] Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations

[1:15] Committee and a foreign policy adviser

[1:17] to the Kerry campaign. Senator Biden is

[1:20] in Denver where he watched the Bush

[1:21] Kerry joint appearance on television.

[1:24] Senator, thanks for being with us. In

[1:26] brief,

[1:26] >> happy to be with you, Dan.

[1:27] >> Uh, in brief, Senator K's best moment,

[1:30] strongest point, particularly keeping in

[1:33] mind that critical to him is getting

[1:35] independent and swing voters going his

[1:36] way and most especially women.

[1:39] Most critical point is turning out of

[1:41] the world is un less safe because of the

[1:43] vacasillation of the president's policy

[1:45] on Korea. the president's vacasillation

[1:47] not being able to choose between

[1:48] Rumsfeld and Pal in terms of how to deal

[1:51] with Iran and uh and quite frankly uh he

[1:54] appeared uh he appeared uncertain and

[1:56] somewhat nervous. For example, he talked

[1:58] about China would pull out of the talks.

[2:00] China has asked the president to have

[2:03] bilateral talks. China has asked the

[2:05] president to have bilateral talks. So, I

[2:07] think he got himself a little uh I I

[2:09] think Kerry was very strong uh in

[2:12] letting people know how strong he was.

[2:14] >> And at what moment do you think

[2:16] President Bush delivered his strongest

[2:18] point?

[2:20] >> I think the thing that came through and

[2:22] I agree with John McCain is I think it

[2:24] is has been painful for the president. I

[2:26] think he does bleed internally for those

[2:29] losses of life in in in in anywhere in

[2:32] the world, Afghanistan and Iraq. and I

[2:35] and I thought he was classy the way in

[2:36] which he responded uh about the

[2:39] character question. So I I was proud of

[2:41] President Bush on on on both those

[2:43] points.

[2:44] >> Would you argue that at this point in

[2:46] the campaign, certainly on a national

[2:47] basis, President Bush leads John Kerry?

[2:51] >> I would argue that I I think it's just

[2:53] flat toss up um within the margin of

[2:56] error nationally and I think John Ky

[2:58] broke through in a fundamental way

[3:00] tonight. There's no question in my mind

[3:01] based on the polling data that on the

[3:03] domestic issues there is an overwhelming

[3:06] advantage that Kerry has. And tonight,

[3:08] John Kerry showed his mastery of the

[3:10] world. He showed his resolve. He showed

[3:13] the differences. And I think that uh

[3:16] this will be marked as the breakthrough,

[3:18] the moment when John Kerry turned this

[3:20] campaign around and enabled himself to

[3:23] become president.

[3:24] And did you see or hear President Bush

[3:26] made anything close to what you would

[3:28] consider to be a major mistake tonight?

[3:32] >> Well, uh, yeah, I I I think President

[3:34] Bush's consistent, uh, uh, refrain about

[3:38] the flipping and flopping and not

[3:40] responding to the fact that he in fact

[3:43] has had he's been an uncertain trumpet

[3:45] with regard to Korea, with regard to

[3:47] Iran, with regard to Iraq. his failure

[3:50] to be able to answer uh the question of

[3:52] why did you not plan his acknowledgement

[3:55] in effect that he his failure to

[3:57] acknowledge what he meant when he said

[3:59] miscalculations the miscalculations are

[4:01] obvious and I think he would have served

[4:03] himself better if he acknowledged them

[4:05] to let people know he ready to move on

[4:07] from those mistakes to make them better

[4:09] I think that was his biggest mistake

[4:11] Senator Biden there was a general

[4:12] consensus I think before this debate

[4:14] that Senator Kerry needed something of a

[4:17] breakthrough if not a home run

[4:19] something very very strong. Would you

[4:22] argue if someone said pretty much a

[4:24] draw, pretty much even tonight?

[4:27] >> I I don't think that's even close. I

[4:29] think the polling data will show that

[4:31] tomorrow. And by the way, I think just

[4:33] as if John had done poorly, they'd have

[4:35] a lot of sad Democrats here in Denver.

[4:37] Uh and they'd say he won, but in their

[4:39] heart they'd feel sad. They're not sad

[4:41] at all tonight, but I predict to you

[4:43] there are an awful lot of Republican

[4:44] Bush supporters who aren't feeling real

[4:47] good right now. Senator Joseph Biden of

[4:49] Delaware. Thanks for being with us. Now,

[4:51] how did the Bush Kerry face off tonight

[4:53] play with uncommitted voters? CBS News

[4:56] asked some of them, and we'll give you

[4:58] their answer when our CBS special

[5:00] coverage continues just after this.
