[0:05] we're in revelation chapter 16 and we're

[0:08] nearing the end of the tribulation

[0:10] period

[0:11] and so if you've got your bibles or if

[0:12] you're using your app on your phone

[0:14] revelation chapter 16

[0:16] verses 17 through 21 is where we'll be

[0:20] at today we're on the seventh

[0:22] vial and so in verse 17 it says this and

[0:24] the seventh angel

[0:26] poured out his vile into the air and

[0:28] there came a great voice out of the

[0:30] temple of heaven

[0:31] from the throne saying it is done

[0:34] and there were voices and thunders and

[0:37] lightnings

[0:38] and there was a great earthquake such as

[0:41] was

[0:41] not since men were upon the earth so

[0:44] mighty an earthquake

[0:46] and so great and the great city was

[0:48] divided into three parts

[0:50] and the cities of the nations fell and

[0:53] great babylon came in remembrance before

[0:55] god

[0:56] to give unto her the cup of the wine of

[0:58] the fierceness of his wrath

[1:00] and every island fled away and the

[1:03] mountains were not found

[1:04] and there fell upon men a great hail out

[1:07] of heaven

[1:08] every stone about the weight of a talent

[1:11] and then blasphemed god because of the

[1:13] plague of the hail

[1:15] for the plagues thereof was exceeding

[1:17] great

[1:18] this is the seventh vial the last vile

[1:22] judgment leading into the return of

[1:24] christ on the

[1:26] white horse says he's going to come back

[1:27] in revelation chapter number 19

[1:30] and we'll have more about that when we

[1:31] get to chapter 19.

[1:33] but this is the last judgment the last

[1:35] vial this

[1:36] ends the tribulation period with god

[1:39] jesus christ coming back

[1:40] so the last of the judgments we've had

[1:42] the seven trumpet judgments the seven

[1:45] seal judgments and now the seven vial

[1:47] judgments

[1:48] so the seals the trumpets the vials and

[1:51] now we find here

[1:53] that this seventh vial judgment is

[1:56] poured out into the air now remember

[1:57] that word poured we've been talking

[1:59] about it

[1:59] when we talk about the vile judgments

[2:01] that it's measured

[2:03] and so god's judgment is measured upon

[2:06] this

[2:06] group of people this section of the

[2:08] world now it's poured into the air

[2:11] and there came a great voice out of the

[2:12] temple of heaven

[2:14] from the throne saying it is

[2:17] done now that voice is the voice of god

[2:20] crying out it is done it is complete the

[2:23] judgment

[2:24] this is the last one and then jesus

[2:26] christ is returning

[2:27] and there were voices and thunders and

[2:29] lightnings

[2:30] and there was a great earthquake and so

[2:33] the voices and the thunders and

[2:35] lightnings

[2:35] everything's getting ready for christ to

[2:37] return

[2:38] and so there's these voices the

[2:40] thunderings the lightnings and then

[2:42] there's this earthquake

[2:43] the earthquake over all the land so this

[2:46] great earthquake was such

[2:48] as was not since men were upon the earth

[2:50] so

[2:51] mighty an earthquake and so great

[2:54] and it says about this that the great

[2:56] city was divided into three parts

[2:59] as the tribulation concludes the

[3:01] greatest earthquake in history

[3:03] takes crossover takes place across the

[3:05] entire earth

[3:07] and though many commentators suggest

[3:09] that this great

[3:10] city was the final form of babylon noted

[3:13] in later in verse 19 as well

[3:15] and described in the following two

[3:17] chapters others may think that it could

[3:19] be the city of jerusalem

[3:21] they use the verse of revelation 11 8

[3:24] which says in their dead bodies talking

[3:26] about the two witnesses

[3:27] shall lie in the street of the great

[3:28] city which spiritually is called sodom

[3:30] and egypt

[3:31] where also our lord was crucified and so

[3:33] we know he was crucified in jerusalem

[3:35] there

[3:36] revelation 8 it's also called the great

[3:39] city

[3:39] we also know in zechariah 14 4 speaks

[3:42] about the great city as well

[3:44] and his feet shall stand in that day

[3:46] upon the mount of olives talking about

[3:48] christ when he returns

[3:49] which is before jerusalem on the east

[3:52] and the mount of olives shall cleave in

[3:53] the midst thereof toward the east and

[3:55] toward the west

[3:56] and there shall be a great valley and

[3:58] half of the mountains shall remove to

[4:00] the north

[4:00] and half of it to the south so when

[4:02] jesus returns the mount of olives is

[4:04] going to split

[4:05] it's going to be divided well here again

[4:07] it says in our verse the great city

[4:09] was divided also it speaks of

[4:13] that in as a great city zechariah 14 4

[4:16] we just read that verse speaks of the

[4:18] when jesus sets full on the mount of

[4:20] olives and his return

[4:21] it will be divided it also brings a

[4:23] major change to the topography of the

[4:25] lamb

[4:26] as found in isaiah 40 verse 4 which says

[4:29] every valley

[4:30] shall be exalted in every mountain and

[4:32] hills shall be made low

[4:33] and the crooked shall be made straight

[4:35] in rough places plain so every mountain

[4:37] and hill is going to be wiped out

[4:40] and so that could be the city there of

[4:42] jerusalem

[4:44] now i'm not for certain which one it is

[4:46] but i can tell you this it's one of the

[4:48] two it's either babylon or it's

[4:49] jerusalem

[4:50] uh i'm confident in that in what the

[4:52] scripture says it's one of those two but

[4:54] i haven't definitively

[4:55] reached the decision of which one and so

[4:58] if the

[4:58] bible is not definitive that it's this

[5:01] and it says it could be this or could be

[5:03] that

[5:04] then i'm going to say it could be this

[5:05] or it could be that so we find here

[5:08] though that

[5:08] the great cities divided the cities of

[5:11] the nations fell

[5:12] every city of all the nations falls

[5:16] every city so no matter where in the

[5:19] earth people are located during this

[5:20] time

[5:21] their great cities are going to be

[5:23] destroyed during this earthquake

[5:26] and also it indicates that babylon

[5:29] will be brought into remembrance before

[5:31] god

[5:32] and so the several conjunctions of ants

[5:35] seem to indicate the addition of so the

[5:37] cities of the nations fell and great

[5:39] babylon came in remembrance before god

[5:42] the severity of the final earthquake of

[5:44] the tribulation was such that evidently

[5:46] all the cities of all the nations fell

[5:49] including babylon so this earthquake is

[5:52] pretty

[5:53] pretty terrible pretty catastrophic

[5:56] would be the best word to describe it

[5:57] but in verse 20

[5:59] it says in every island fled away in the

[6:02] mountains

[6:03] were not found so implied is a

[6:05] catastrophic

[6:06] alteration of the earth's geology

[6:09] topography

[6:10] and geography the cataclysm likely may

[6:13] be on the same order as that of the

[6:15] flood of noah's day

[6:17] which catastrophically altered the earth

[6:20] it may be that god in some way

[6:22] returns the earth to the environmental

[6:25] conditions

[6:25] similar to prior the flood in

[6:28] preparation for the impending millennial

[6:30] reign of christ

[6:31] now the mountains as we know them today

[6:34] are results of the flood i

[6:36] don't have time if you go back to

[6:38] genesis and you read the account of the

[6:39] flood

[6:40] and you'll see that the fountains below

[6:43] break up and the fountains above

[6:45] and all the receding of the waters would

[6:48] happen because of the mountains

[6:49] and the oceans being filled so the

[6:52] mountains we know it are

[6:54] returned to the surface are retracted

[6:57] back down

[6:58] so all the mountains were not found so

[7:00] the alps the andes the rocky mountains

[7:04] all that area is just flattened back out

[7:06] to flat ground

[7:07] all of the islands are fled away so all

[7:10] the islands that are above water

[7:12] all of a sudden below water so you think

[7:14] about all the islands japan

[7:16] the philippines uh the hawaiian islands

[7:18] all of the islands that are around

[7:20] in the our areas are gone

[7:24] in a moment in an instance with this

[7:26] earthquake happens

[7:27] and so you say well pastor what about

[7:29] the people that are on those places

[7:31] i know it's going to be bad it's the un

[7:35] deluded wrath of god being poured out

[7:37] upon the world

[7:38] so all the islands and all the mountains

[7:41] it'll be a different world in that day

[7:43] again that verse in isaiah 40

[7:45] every mountain and hill shall be made

[7:46] low so everything is going to return to

[7:48] flatness

[7:50] across the land verse 21 it says and

[7:53] there fell

[7:53] upon men a great hail out of heaven

[7:56] every stone about the weight of a talent

[7:59] and then blasphemed god because of the

[8:01] plagues of the hail

[8:02] for the plague thereof was exceeding

[8:04] great the hail

[8:06] a talent is mentioned now that's not

[8:08] talking about you got a singing talent

[8:09] or a

[8:11] cooking talent no it's a measure of

[8:13] weight during that time

[8:14] and so a talent weighs approximately 93

[8:17] pounds in dry measure

[8:19] so 93 pounds so the hailstones that are

[8:22] happening says they're

[8:23] the approximate about the weight of a

[8:25] talent so

[8:26] almost a hundred pound hailstone falling

[8:29] from the sky now

[8:30] we live in oklahoma and we see the

[8:31] damage that pea-sized hail and golf

[8:33] ball-sized hail can make

[8:35] imagine a hailstone that weighs close to

[8:37] 100 pounds falling from the sky

[8:39] how catastrophic that would be and how

[8:42] dangerous to people that would be if one

[8:44] hit someone it would

[8:46] obliterate them and so all across the

[8:48] earth it appears that these hail stones

[8:50] are falling

[8:51] and men are angry with god because of

[8:55] the hail

[8:56] now this wraps up the last vile judgment

[9:00] so the tribulation is

[9:02] nearing its end in chapter 17 and 18

[9:06] are a parenthetical section where we get

[9:08] to see

[9:09] the dealing of the demise of the world

[9:11] system as it's personified in babylon

[9:14] the chronological sequence of events

[9:16] returns in chapter 19 verse 11

[9:19] with the appearance of jesus christ with

[9:22] an empowering glory on the white horse

[9:24] as he returns

[9:26] so this judgment this final judgment

[9:28] that phrase

[9:29] it is done the greek where their gonomi

[9:32] means

[9:33] it is finished it is complete and so the

[9:36] judgment that happens

[9:38] this is the end of the tribulation

[9:39] period the last of the judgments

[9:42] it's an awful awful time we're going to

[9:45] look into chapters 18 and 19

[9:47] and we're going to discover the sadness

[9:50] excuse me chapter 17 and 18 really

[9:53] we'll talk about babylon and man's

[9:55] response to that and how they'll mourn

[9:58] for the fall of babylon as we saw in

[10:00] verse 19

[10:01] that great babylon came in remembrance

[10:03] before god and we're going to

[10:04] tell you who babylon is it is described

[10:07] for us in scripture who that is so we're

[10:09] going to talk about that

[10:11] in the upcoming videos and so i

[10:13] encourage you to keep watching this

[10:20] hailstones a hundred almost a hundred

[10:22] pounds in weight

[10:23] falling down from the sky the judgment

[10:26] of god

[10:27] being poured out upon this earth all

[10:29] because people

[10:30] rejected god you know god is a loving

[10:33] god

[10:34] and he offers salvation to every man

[10:36] woman boy and girl

[10:38] he wants all men to be saved and come

[10:39] into the knowledge of the truth and if

[10:41] you're a christian today watching this

[10:42] video

[10:43] you ought to be concerned about your

[10:45] unsaved family friends and neighbors

[10:47] who don't know jesus christ because if

[10:49] they do not get saved they're going to

[10:51] experience this judgment

[10:55] they're going to experience these

[10:57] hailstones if they're

[10:59] still alive during that time it's going

[11:00] to be awful

[11:02] you think about all the judgments that

[11:03] have happened in the last of the

[11:05] chapter we've looked at with the ocean

[11:08] waters turning to

[11:09] blood of a dead man and the rest of the

[11:11] regular waters being turned into blood

[11:14] and the judgment that's happened and the

[11:16] boils and

[11:17] everything else that's been taking place

[11:20] how awful

[11:21] and terrible it is but yet still mankind

[11:25] is going to come against god and they're

[11:26] going to be the great battle of

[11:28] armageddon

[11:29] and the judgment of god and god's going

[11:31] to return

[11:32] christ is going to return on the white

[11:33] horse and he's going to win

[11:36] satan's going to be defeated he's a

[11:38] loser

[11:39] but he wants to take every person he can

[11:41] into destruction

[11:43] with him the tribulation period is going

[11:45] to be awful but i'm so thankful as a

[11:47] child of god i'm not going to face it

[11:50] now i may suffer tribulation but i'm not

[11:52] going through the great tribulation

[11:55] we believe the bible teaches very

[11:56] clearly in a pre-tribulational rapture

[11:59] but now we're nearing the pre-millennial

[12:02] return of christ before the millennial

[12:04] reign begins jesus christ is going to

[12:07] return

[12:08] and it's soon to happen so this vile

[12:10] judgment

[12:11] number seven it wraps it up and the next

[12:14] thing you're gonna find out

[12:16] that happens in the timeline is the

[12:18] skies will be

[12:19] open and they'll see jesus christ coming

[12:21] back on a white horse

[12:23] and the host of heaven with him and so

[12:26] that's going to be exciting when we get

[12:28] to that section

[12:29] but over the next few videos we're going

[12:31] to talk about mystery

[12:32] babylon and it's not a mystery because

[12:34] it's unknown

[12:35] it's a mystery because it's been hidden

[12:37] or kept secret

[12:39] and so we're going to describe who that

[12:41] is and explain it to you

[12:42] from the scriptures so you know clearly

[12:45] who that is talking about
