[0:00] in March.
[0:02] It's home. This comes as key players in
[0:05] the Bosnian war come to America and
[0:07] prepare to talk peace tomorrow at a US
[0:09] military base in Ohio. White House
[0:11] correspondent Rita Braver begins our
[0:13] coverage.
[0:15] President Clinton today opened his
[0:16] campaign to rally public support for
[0:18] sending US troops to enforce peace in
[0:21] Bosnia. Flanked by his negotiating team,
[0:24] Mr. Clinton warned that the future of
[0:26] all of Europe is at stake. If the war

[1:06] of the alliance. We would weaken the
[1:08] alliance itself. And the hard-won peace
[1:11] in Bosnia could be lost. And he promised
[1:13] that American military forces would have
[1:15] a clearly defined mission. They would
[1:17] not be asked to keep keep a peace that
[1:20] cannot be kept.
[1:21] But they would make sure we do our part
[1:23] in helping peace to hold. In fact, the
[1:25] White House is anything but eager to
[1:27] send US troops to Bosnia. But the
[1:30] president believes this is one of those
[1:31] times he
