[25:19] started climbing and we flew probably 3

[25:22] minutes and something happened that will

[25:24] never leave my

[25:26] mind the pilot turned to me and he

[25:29] said we're going in the clouds and I

[25:32] can't fly in clouds they make me pass

[25:34] out I said clouds make you do

[25:38] what now it's been cloudy all day and we

[25:42] go right up into the clouds and you

[25:44] can't see

[25:45] anything and he looks at me and his eyes

[25:48] roll back in his

[25:50] head and he starts mumbling and he

[25:54] passes out passed out coold now I

[25:56] grabbed him and I shook him and I said

[25:57] come on you got to wake up so I can kill

[25:59] you now we were in the clouds flying

[26:01] along with no pilot and my friend in the

[26:03] back seat said we're dead aren't we I

[26:05] said there's a very good chance of that

[26:07] yes he said what are we going to do I

[26:09] said I don't know but there was a radio

[26:11] right there and I handed him the

[26:13] microphone and I said start asking for

[26:15] help so he's in the back seat reaching

[26:17] up and he said hello hello we didn't

[26:19] know any proper radio etiquette all we

[26:21] were saying was hello and somebody

[26:23] answered back hello hello don't you guys

[26:27] give me I said we don't know nothing

[26:29] tell them we're in an airplane with a

[26:31] passed out pilot and we don't know how

[26:33] to fly This Plane the guy said I'm AF

[26:35] freighter flying out of Anchorage on the

[26:37] way to Tokyo and he said you're telling

[26:38] me you have nobody who can fly that

[26:40] plane with you I said tell them that's

[26:42] correct now you got to understand I am

[26:44] sweating bullets he said the first thing

[29:27] there in the form of a cross he said

[29:30] don't you forget this the cross is the

[29:36] home finally he's bringing us

[29:38] down we still can't see anything and all

[29:42] he kept saying is stay with me my sheep

[29:45] the Bible says hear my voice and they

[29:48] follow me finally just a couple hundred

[29:51] feet off the ground we saw the cross I

[29:54] landed the plane in fact I landed it

[29:56] seven times

[29:59] finally it all came to a stop and the

[30:01] minute we stopped the pilot woke up the

[30:03] voice

[30:09] listening I watch them crash and burn

[30:11] all the time cuz they won't follow my

[30:13] voice they don't understand I'm the one

[30:16] who can see them even when they can't

[30:17] see me but they get the voices in their

[30:21] head and they kill

[32:57] sacrifices were were killed the Old

[32:59] Testament sacrifices if it was a uh a

[33:03] fruit offering a food offering it was

[33:06] given and consumed if it was a drink

[33:14] preserved but God tells us to be a

[33:17] Living

[33:19] Sacrifice something that is living

[33:22] something that is ongoing and he tells

[33:24] us to be a Living Sacrifice holy and

[33:27] acceptable unto God which is your

[33:29] reasonable service and we are made up of

[33:32] three parts body Soul and

[33:36] Spirit our soul is our our our will our

[33:40] thinker our Chooser it's where our

[33:42] intellect lies it's our emotions it's

[33:44] our Feeler and the Bible tells us in

[33:46] verse number two that that part of us

[33:49] our mind our heart has to be

[33:52] renewed day by day by day so how does my

[34:00] feelings my emotions my will get renewed

[34:06] by God every single

[34:10] day the answer is

[34:12] found in

[34:14] listening to the

[34:17] voice now the voice is not always

[34:21] Audible The Voice could be the holy

[34:23] spirit's leadership in your life The

[34:25] Voice could be the word of God directing

[34:28] you and guiding

[34:30] you it's a

[34:32] everyday

[34:34] process every day listening to The Voice

[34:38] the Bible talks about in John 16 that

[34:41] the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth

[34:47] the spirit of God speaks to our heart

[34:49] through the word of God through the

[34:51] preaching of the word of God through the

[34:52] leadership of the Holy Spirit it speaks

[34:54] to our heart truth and then our soul

[34:58] must

[34:59] respond to the truth and if our soul

[35:02] chooses not to respond and chooses not

[35:04] to listen it'll

[35:07] self-destruct we'll find ourselves being

[35:10] conformed into the image of this

[35:14] world so the Bible tells us to be

[35:18] transformed by the renewing of your mind

[35:21] every day the spirit of God needs to

[35:25] renew transform

[35:28] our thinking our will our

[35:32] emotions and that process happens in our

[35:36] life by

[35:38] listening to the voice of

[35:40] God by listening to God's

[35:44] word it is to know God's will his

[35:49] perfect will of

[35:52] God so we can prove it so we can trust

[35:55] it so we can see God's perfect will for

[35:58] us we have to say no to self and yes to

[36:08] God every single

[36:12] day no to self and yes to

[36:19] God so Paul writes I besee you therefore

[36:22] Brethren he's writing to save people by

[36:25] the mercies of God that ye that ye

[36:27] present in it I can't make it happen for

[36:30] you it's a personal decision you have to

[36:32] put yourself on the altar you have to

[36:36] put yourself as the

[36:38] sacrifice you're the one who has to

[36:40] present your body you're the one who has

[36:42] to make the conscious choice to live and

[36:44] walk in the spirit and not in

[36:48] yourself it's holy and it's acceptable

[36:51] unto God and it's our reasonable

[36:53] servants it is not something big that

[36:57] God is requiring of us it's something

[36:59] reasonable that he's asking of

[37:03] us and he tells us be not conformed to

[37:07] this world but you got to be transformed

[37:09] by the

[37:10] renewing of your mind every single day

[37:14] truth needs to be spoken to my mind in

[37:18] the last couple Sunday nights we've

[37:20] talked about the battleground of the

[37:23] mind and the voices of this world

[37:28] can get pretty

[37:33] distract what God wants to do in an

[37:37] individual's

[37:39] life it could be your

[37:45] society it could be the voices of your

[37:47] own fears and failures speaking loudly

[43:00] the only hope they have is some person's

[43:02] going to be spirit-led enough to tell

[43:04] them that Jesus died for

[43:09] them there may be God's moving upon your

[43:13] life to use you in God's service for the

[43:17] future but because of the other voices

[43:20] that you're in listening to all week

[43:21] long you come to church service and all

[43:24] you can think about are the other voices

[43:28] and they distract you when God says just

[43:31] listen to me listen to

[43:34] me some of you

[43:36] struggle because the other voices are

[43:40] loud some of the other

[43:42] voices could be physical

[43:44] pain if you're not careful physical pain

[43:47] will scream so loud it can distract you

[43:49] from listening to

[43:51] God if you're not careful physical

[43:54] ailments will scream so loud that'll

[43:57] distract you from the still Small Voice

[43:59] because you won't feel it it's a

[44:02] pain other things that can distract you

[44:05] is

[44:06] entertainment I got to get home my

[44:09] show's on tonight I got to get home

[44:12] football season starting

[44:15] soon oh preacher you're meddling now no

[44:17] I'm

[44:18] not I got I got there's this happening

[44:23] there's this happening and I got I got

[44:25] to be entertained I got these things

[44:27] things and it it may not be your show it

[44:29] may be you you left your video game and

[44:32] you your your thumbs are still searching

[44:36] controls used to go to camp with

[44:38] teenagers and they'd start twitching

[44:40] after the first day when we confiscated

[44:42] their cell phones they're like I don't

[44:44] know what to do my fingers are not used

[44:47] to moving in this

[44:52] pattern the sad thing is you see a lot

[44:54] of AD adults with the same thing

[44:59] they're missing out on the

[45:01] world because they're looking at their

[45:07] phone' be a sad thing mom and dad if

[45:09] you're missing out on your

[45:11] kids but you made it to another level on

[45:14] your imaginary game that's on your cell

[45:18] phone well I just need to unwind I

[45:22] understand I

[45:24] understand but listen your time time is

[45:29] limited so let's use it for God you got

[45:32] to silence the other

[45:35] voices you know what could be

[45:37] distracting you

[45:38] tonight bills that need to be

[45:42] paid balance in the

[45:45] account they're not matching up and it's

[45:47] stressing you out and if you're not

[45:50] careful the voice of it's due it's due

[45:52] it's due it's due it's overdue it's due

[45:56] it's due it's over can distract you from

[45:58] listening to the voice of

[46:02] God there's a lot of other voices listen

[46:05] many times we will replace what is best

[46:08] from God with what is urgent and

[46:14] pressing it's urgent and pressing and

[46:16] therefore it replaces truth we talked

[46:18] about it this morning in our adult

[46:20] Sunday school class listen tonight very

[46:22] closely we're to renew our minds and

[46:25] that only happens when we sacrifice

[46:30] ourself my will not my will but thine be

[46:34] done Jesus said as a pattern for us to

[46:38] understand not my will but thine Lord be

[46:41] done listen to The Voice the world is

[46:46] distracting now listen every one of the

[46:49] voices we've mentioned thus far are real

[46:52] voices are real things are things that

[46:56] people deal with in everyday

[46:58] life I have empathy and sympathy for

[47:01] young mothers who have young children

[47:04] because they demand they

[47:07] take got a message I'm working on for

[47:10] married couples it talks about this

[47:13] subject matter kids come into your life

[47:16] and guess what they do they

[47:18] take they do they take because that's

[47:21] what kids do they take your time they

[47:23] take your energy they take your time

[47:25] they take your energy they take your

[47:27] sleep they take all of those things or

[47:30] just takers those little

[47:35] takers and it can overwhelm

[47:39] you and because you're pouring out all

[47:41] the time and they're taking and they're

[47:43] taking it can get hard to take time and

[47:46] find time to devote yourself to time

[47:48] alone with

[47:50] God can be

[47:52] difficult the busyness of Life the job

[47:56] scen the balancing of life's

[47:58] requirements can steal away the voices

[48:02] of the work requirements and everything

[48:04] else we're dealing with can steal away

[48:06] from what God intended for us to do

[48:08] which is just to stop and spend time

[48:12] with the

[48:13] voice

[48:15] tonight listen to The Voice God wants to

[48:21] speak truth to your soul you are under

[48:25] attack one of the attacks that Satan

[48:28] uses on your mind is

[48:32] business he wants to keep you busy so

[48:35] you don't have time for God life is

[48:39] pressing life has multiple things going

[48:42] on and if we're not careful it'll Rob us

[48:45] of our time to listen to The

[48:49] Voice you've got to take time to listen

[48:53] the world's voices are

[48:55] loud the world world's voices are

[48:59] demanding but God simply asked us just

[49:02] listen to The

[49:05] Voice in our illustration The Voice

[49:08] landed

[49:09] him

[49:10] home got him back

[49:14] safely and in our lives tonight if we

[49:16] will listen to the spirit of God

[49:19] speaking to our soul and guiding us and

[49:22] directing us you will live a Victorious

[49:26] Christian

[49:29] life but if you

[49:31] don't if you don't

[49:34] listen You'll find yourself in Peril and

[49:37] in danger in your relationship with God

[49:42] it is vitally important to

[49:45] listen to the voice of

[49:49] God

[49:52] tonight I want to remind you about this

[49:55] morning

[49:56] this morning as I spoke in Sunday school

[49:59] to the

[50:00] adults I gave an illustration of a

[50:03] response that I had to a rubber snake

[50:07] that was in our house because I despise

[50:10] snakes I had a response to a rubber

[50:12] snake that was in our house and even

[50:15] though I knew that that particular

[50:17] rubber snake was a rubber snake it

[50:18] wasn't a real snake I knew it wasn't a

[50:21] real snake but because of my reactions

[50:27] and my feelings I responded like it was

[50:30] a real snake what happened in the moment

[50:33] is the truth that that's a fake snake

[50:35] did not happen it got bypassed by

[50:38] urgency and by emotion and my urgency

[50:42] and my emotion says Ah it's a

[50:45] snake fear gripped my heart my adrenal

[50:49] glands released and I got a burst of

[50:52] energy my heart rate Rose and my body

[50:55] responded

[50:58] to a rubber snake on the

[51:00] ground we laugh and we chuckle but it

[51:03] happens day after day after day when you

[51:08] and I disregard God's

[51:11] truth and we let our feelings thoughts

[51:15] and

[51:16] emotions guide

[51:18] us we end up living a life of ignoring

[51:22] the leadership of God ignoring the truth

[51:26] of God and we react by the way when that

[51:28] moment happened on that day it happened

[51:32] so fast that I didn't even watch this

[51:35] take time to consider the truth that

[51:38] it's a rubber snake I didn't even take

[51:40] the time to consider it I reacted so

[51:43] quickly to my feelings and my emotions I

[51:46] reacted so quickly I didn't even take

[51:49] the time to notice that it was a rubber

[51:54] snake a sign of maturity in the

[51:57] Christian life is when you can learn to

[52:01] delay your

[52:04] response when you can learn to delay

[52:08] your

[52:09] response so we've talked about it the

[52:12] last two weeks with our thought life and

[52:14] we're to bring into captivity every

[52:17] thought so to gather them in I don't

[52:21] just think it I pause and I consider

[52:25] disregard or dwell dwell disregard or

[52:29] dwell and I delay so I can choose to

[52:32] disregard the thought or dwell on the

[52:34] thought in our Christian Life every

[52:38] Temptation you need to learn the art of

[52:41] the delay to pause say does God want me

[52:45] to do this or does he not don't

[52:49] react

[52:51] Act take action to consider what God

[52:55] would want you do well how do I do that

[52:58] practice practice practice practice and

[53:03] I practice renewing my mind day after

[53:07] day after day and if I do that it gets

[53:13] easier to delay my response instead of

[53:17] being

[53:18] reactionary but you know what'll

[53:21] happen this is what

[53:23] happens tomorrow comes and I

[53:27] intentionally or I did not intentionally

[53:29] listen to The

[53:31] Voice and therefore I find myself

[53:34] instead of delaying in response I become

[53:37] reactionary and I give into temptation

[53:39] after

[53:40] Temptation instead of delaying and not

[53:43] getting angry when my child does

[53:45] something wrong instead of getting angry

[53:47] I delay and I pause and I

[53:51] consider before I respond or if I don't

[53:54] listen to The Voice I just blow up

[53:58] and it

[54:00] happens one of the most humbling things

[54:02] as a parent is having to apologize to

[54:04] your children so preacher I've never had

[54:06] to do that you probably should

[54:09] have amen you probably should have so

[54:13] not me I am a perfect parent sure you

[54:17] are

[54:19] sure I tell kids all the time young

[54:21] people I told them just a few weeks ago

[54:23] on a Wednesday night I made this

[54:24] statement it's a good statement to

[54:25] remember young people you're watching

[54:27] your parents grow

[54:29] up you're watching them grow up they're

[54:32] learning things with

[54:34] you us that are firstborns we were the

[54:37] guinea pigs for our

[54:39] parents they did they hadn't had

[54:41] children before we were the first

[54:44] ones they made all their mistakes with

[54:47] us and then they spoil the youngest it's

[54:50] not

[54:51] fair and all the firstborn children said

[54:55] yep that's right

[54:58] but

[54:59] tonight if we're not intentional to

[55:02] listen to The Voice every

[55:03] day over and over again we'll find

[55:07] ourselves letting our soul lead us

[55:10] instead of being

[55:12] spirit-led so this week let's rewind the

[55:18] cameras and put it in everyone's home

[55:20] this week we put them in your car we use

[55:24] the satellites that the government had

[55:26] and attach them to your cell phones and

[55:27] listen in on everything you looked at

[55:30] every post that you commented on every

[55:32] video that you watched and here shortly

[55:33] we're going to play it

[55:37] all now we're really not going to do

[55:39] that but listen child of God listen the

[55:44] Holy Spirit sat

[55:48] through the Holy Spirit sat through

[55:50] everything you

[55:52] watched everything you heard everything

[55:55] you thought

[55:56] every lust that came in and entered into

[55:58] your heart the holy spirit of God had to

[56:01] go endure the darkness that you played

[56:04] with this

[56:07] week because you didn't listen to the

[56:11] voice but if You' have listened to the

[56:13] voice your list would have got a lot

[56:15] shorter and the longer you listen to The

[56:18] Voice the easier it is to delay and not

[56:23] sin to delay and not

[56:26] sin but if you don't listen to The Voice

[56:30] you will

[56:31] crash and

[56:33] burn so let me ask you this week if we

[56:36] played the

[56:38] tape if we went and played your

[56:43] history of the

[56:45] thoughts the sights the

[56:49] sounds of this past

[56:54] week would you want it up here

[56:57] for all to see most of us would say no

[57:00] preacher I wouldn't want it up

[57:04] there but do you want the god of Heaven

[57:08] to see

[57:11] it because he saw

[57:13] it you want the holy spirit of God to

[57:16] hear it because he did but I got good

[57:20] news first John 1: 19 says if we confess

[57:23] our sins he is faithful and just to

[57:24] forgive us our sins and to cleanse us

[57:25] from all righteousness you can get right

[57:27] with God

[57:28] tonight you can fess up where you messed

[57:31] up and number two If any man lack wisdom

[57:33] let him ask of God who giveth to all men

[57:36] Liberty so tonight you can ask God to

[57:38] give you wisdom on how to learn to

[57:41] delay to keep you from sin to listen to

[57:44] The Voice to drown out the other voices

[57:49] would you bow your heads and stand with

[57:51] us tonight

[57:57] let's be honest with the Lord

[58:01] tonight were there some voices that you

[58:04] listen to this week because they were

[58:06] loud and because they were urgent that

[58:09] you listen to when you shouldn't have

[58:11] listened to

[58:12] them if that's the case you need to get

[58:15] it right you need to ask God for

[58:18] forgiveness

[58:20] tonight if you want to do better this

[58:22] next week you need to ask God for help

[58:26] need to ask God for strength I need a

[58:29] purpose in your heart you're going to

[58:31] wake up and listen to the

[58:33] voice that God has for

[58:36] you who'd say preacher pray for me I

[65:03] of medication and so our goal is to go

[65:05] the next two weeks without certain

[65:06] medication and if I have all positive

[65:09] results from that we'll quit that

[65:11] medication completely and then we'll do

[65:13] the second medication and if that one

[65:15] continues with positive results then

[65:17] we'll be off medication completely after

[65:20] two surgeries and so we're praying for

[65:22] good results like that so you pray for
