[0:04] This is an ABC News special,
[0:08] The 96 Vote.
[0:11] Now reporting from the San Diego
[0:13] Convention Center, Peter Jennings.
[0:16] >> Good evening everybody and welcome to
[0:17] ABC's coverage of the final night of the
[0:19] Republican Convention at the San Diego
[0:21] Convention Center. Republicans have
[0:22] crowded in here already in the early
[0:25] evening here 6:00 California time
[0:27] because they are here to see Mrs. Dole
[0:30] among other things the star of last

[1:08] very lengthy speech and run almost 40
[1:11] minutes. The Dole campaign tells us he's
[1:13] going to try to attract all of those
[1:15] voters who have up until now not been as
[1:17] well disposed to the Republican party as
[1:20] he and his party would like them to be.
[1:22] We have a few minutes before Mr. Kemp
[1:24] speaks. And so we're going to start by
[1:26] doing what I'll call our tour of the
[1:28] troops, asking each of my colleagues who
[1:30] is here in attendance to give us perhaps
[1:33] 10 seconds or an opening h
