[0:00] Hello, I'm Bob Schaefer and welcome to

[0:02] the CBS Evening News online edition.

[0:04] Just ahead, Saddam Hussein's day in

[0:07] court. At times, it resembled a

[0:09] free-for-all. Kimberly Doer will have

[0:11] details. Also, we'll investigate whether

[0:14] there's a link between anti-persperence

[0:16] and breast cancer. In the inside story,

[0:19] and designer dogs, you and I might call

[0:22] them muts, but in LA, some mixed breeds

[0:25] have become fashion statements. It's all

[0:27] starting now on the CBS Evening News

[0:30] online edition.

[0:34] You have to wonder now just how long

[0:36] this is going to go on. Saddam Hussein's

[0:39] trial was convened for the third time

[0:41] today and once again Saddam screamed,

[0:43] complained, threatened the judge and

[0:45] said he was not afraid to die. But

[0:47] again, the proceedings went nowhere and

[0:50] the trial was adjourned until tomorrow.

[0:53] For the latest on today's developments,

[0:55] we go to Kimberly Doer in Baghdad.

[1:02] The hearing looked more like a three-

[1:04] ring circus than a trial against a

[1:06] dictator for crimes against humanity.

[1:09] Saddam railed at the court, jumping from

[1:11] his chair time and again.

[1:14] I'm not afraid to face death, he said.

[1:19] He apologized for attacking the judge,

[1:21] but said he wasn't just defending

[1:23] himself, he was defending all of Iraq.

[1:26] Saddam's half brother, Barzani,

[1:28] threatened a witness, saying he should

[1:31] be killed. "Go to hell," the man

[1:33] replied. Tried later spat at a heckler

[1:36] in the gallery. It was seldom dignified.

[1:40] The judge tried and often failed to keep

[1:42] them quiet.

[1:44] That is when he could keep them in

[1:46] court. Former US Attorney
