[0:03] is so good to see you this morning and

[0:05] excited this monday morning for our word

[0:07] of encouragement if you've got your

[0:09] Bibles we're gonna be in proverbs

[0:11] chapter 4 and looking forward to a great

[0:13] start off to our week today testing out

[0:16] some new equipment so we'll see how this

[0:18] goes this morning proverbs chapter 4

[0:21] we're gonna read verse number 23 you're

[0:23] gonna talk some more about the passage

[0:25] verse 23 of proverbs 4 keep thy heart

[0:27] with all diligence for out of it are the

[0:32] issues of life

[0:33] the proverb here in the beginning of the

[0:36] chapter talks about the instructions of

[0:38] the Father and how important they were

[0:40] for the son to understand and that he

[0:43] encourages him to seek after wisdom now

[0:46] that's not worldly wisdom that's not the

[0:49] thinking of this world that's the wisdom

[0:50] from the Word of God it says that wisdom

[0:53] is the principal thing in verse 5 it

[0:55] says get wisdom get understanding forget

[0:57] it not neither decline thy words from

[1:00] thy mouth verse 70 says wisdom is the

[1:03] principal thing therefore get wisdom and

[1:05] with all thy getting get understanding

[1:07] so it's not just to know the Word of God

[1:10] but to apply it understand it and live

[1:14] it out in our lives and so were to

[1:16] admonish that teaching but here he says

[1:19] to keep thy heart guard head keep thy

[1:23] heart with all diligence for out of it

[1:25] are the issues of life the heart the

[1:28] seat of your emotions your thinker your

[1:31] want her not the blood pumping muscle

[1:33] inside but your heart he says to keep

[1:36] that with all diligence it's a 24 hour a

[1:40] day 7 days a week 365 days a year and

[1:44] like this year 2020 366 days a year job

[1:49] to keep your heart in other words to

[1:52] wrangle in how you feel sometimes people

[1:56] send me pastor I can't control the way

[1:58] that I feel well your feelings are

[2:01] influenced by other things

[2:03] your emotions are influenced by other

[2:06] things and the seed of that is your

[2:08] heart now the Bible tells us about our

[2:11] heart on our

[2:12] is deceitful and desperately wicked who

[2:15] can know it

[2:16] and so we're challenged by God to keep

[2:19] our heart but if our heart is wicked why

[2:22] should we keep it well the understanding

[2:24] is is that as you study the Word of God

[2:26] and you place it into your heart it

[2:28] helps to guide your life it helps them

[2:31] strut you in the ways that you ought to

[2:33] go so the challenge here is to keep your

[2:35] heart with all diligence because we need

[2:39] to put the Word of God in it's important

[2:41] to have wisdom and understanding now

[2:45] there's a lot of movies out there that

[2:47] they tell you to go follow your heart

[2:49] and do whatever your heart's desire well

[2:52] my friend you've got to be careful of

[2:53] that because your heart's emotional it's

[2:57] a decision to keep it to guard it to not

[3:01] let other things control you but fully

[3:07] to submit your way to the Word of God

[3:10] and God's instruction for your

[3:12] day-to-day life so this morning I want

[3:15] to challenge it from proverbs chapter 4

[3:17] this week be on guard that your emotions

[3:22] don't run why be on guard that your

[3:25] feelings don't overtake you but put

[3:29] something in Psalms 119 tells us thy

[3:32] word have I hid in mine heart that I

[3:35] might not sin against God how important

[3:39] it is to put the Word of God in so this

[3:42] week don't let your emotions control you

[3:45] submit your way into the Lord the Bible

[3:47] says in proverbs 3:5 trust in the Lord

[3:50] with all thine heart all thine heart

[3:54] trusts God he's a trustworthy God so

[3:58] this week have a great week we're

[4:01] looking forward to an exciting time this

[4:02] week young people be on the lookout for

[4:05] a special lesson coming up a two-part

[4:09] lesson and so we hope to see you real

[4:12] soon

[4:12] again Sunday nights and Wednesday nights

[4:15] we've opened the building back up for

[4:17] services you're allowed to come in with

[4:19] socially distanced the auditorium

[4:22] looking forward to a good time of

[4:23] fellowship in Lourdes how to

[4:24] great service last night so thankful for

[4:27] the Word of God and how God's people

[4:29] were able to gather together and sing

[4:31] and worship the Lord and to hear them

[4:34] corporately praising the name of Lord it

[4:36] was wonderful

[4:37] so what encouraged you to be there

[4:39] Wednesday night 7 o'clock and we look

[4:41] forward to seeing you in person very

[4:43] soon have a great week and may God's

[4:46] Word encourage your heart today
