[0:33] I'm Diane Magnum John Scott is off

[0:35] tonight and art Carlson is joining us

[0:37] she is now a major hurricane Elena is

[0:40] packing sustained winds of 125 miles an

[0:43] hour she has changed course and is now

[0:45] heading on a West northwesterly

[0:46] Direction hurricane warnings have been

[0:48] dropped for Tampa but added for areas

[0:50] west of Panama City meteorologist Brian

[0:52] Norcross is standing by the map right

[0:54] now with absolutely the latest Brian all

[0:56] right here's the latest satellite

[0:57] picture there's the center of the storm

[0:59] the eye showing up very well

[1:00] appalachicola located right here and you

[1:02] see the storm as the center of the storm

[1:04] is just south of Apalachicola the

[1:06] strongest winds are around that eye now

[1:07] I want to go back take you back to this

[1:09] morning at 3 A.M and you can see how

[1:11] fast the storm has moved during the day

[1:12] today there's a little eye now watch as

[1:14] we go through the day every hour now

[1:16] here comes the eyes it really develops

[1:18] and the winds build and now it's really

[1:19] taking off to the Northwest up to about

[1:21] uh 10 to 15 miles an hour and the

[1:24] projected course is going to take it

[1:25] into the Pensacola area with 125 mile an

[1:27] hour winds the hurricane warnings in

[1:29] effect from Gulfport Mississippi on

[1:31] around to Yankeetown Fl
