[0:11] first we'll check the top stories for

[0:13] you this morning. Less than a day after

[0:14] flying into history. Bertrram Peicard

[0:17] and Brian Jones touched down early

[0:19] Sunday in the Egyptian desert. They

[0:22] wanted to land near the pyramids, but

[0:23] unfavorable winds kept them away. The

[0:25] two adventurers are the first to fly

[0:27] around the world non-stop in a hot air

[0:29] balloon. The journey took 19 days and

[0:32] covered more than 29,000 miles. The

[0:35] threat of NATO military strikes has not

[0:38] stopped the fighting in Yugoslavia's

[0:39] Kosovo province. Serbian forces are

[0:41] attacking rebel positions in central

[0:43] Kosovo for a second straight day,

[0:46] setting houses ablaze. This weekend's

[0:48] fighting has prompted fears of a return

[0:50] to fullscale warfare in that region.

[0:53] NATO ambassadors are meeting in Brussels

[0:55] to discuss the situation. Memorial

[0:58] services set this morning in the

[1:00] Illinois town where an Amtrak train

[1:02] crashed into a truck. Not only will the

[1:05] 11 victims be remembered, but tributes

[1:07] will also be paid to rescue workers.

[1:10] First Lady Hillary Rodm Clinton and

[1:12] daughter Chelsea begin a 12-day tour of

[1:14] Africa today. They will visit Egypt,

[1:15] Morocco, and Tunisia. Their departure

[1:18] Saturday delayed because of a problem

[1:20] with their plane's hydraulic system.

[1:22] Mechanics fixed the problem in less than

[1:23] an hour and the plane took off without
