[0:00] welcome to revelation reveal this is

[0:02] week number 53 and we're excited you've

[0:04] taken the time to stop by and check out

[0:06] this video today we're in revelation

[0:09] chapter 20 verses 4 through 6 today so

[0:12] we want to encourage you to grab a bible

[0:14] or look it up on your bible app and

[0:16] follow along with us out of revelation

[0:18] chapter 20. the bible says and i saw

[0:21] thrones and they that sat upon them and

[0:24] judgment was given unto them and i saw

[0:26] the souls of them that were beheaded for

[0:29] the witness of jesus and for the word of

[0:31] god and which had not worshipped the

[0:33] beast neither his image neither had

[0:36] received his mark upon their foreheads

[0:38] or in their hands and they lived and

[0:40] reigned with christ a thousand years

[0:42] but the rest of the dead

[0:44] lived not again until the thousand years

[0:46] were finished this is the first

[0:49] resurrection

[0:51] blessed and holy is he that hath part in

[0:53] the first resurrection and on such the

[0:55] second death hath no power but they

[0:58] shall be priest of god and of christ and

[1:00] shall reign with him a thousand

[1:03] years

[1:04] now if you've been following along in

[1:06] our series we've just gotten into the

[1:08] millennial kingdom and in the millennial

[1:10] kingdom we're going to be looking at the

[1:13] reign of the saints and so it begins off

[1:17] that john says i saw thrones now we know

[1:20] there are going to be those that come

[1:21] back with jesus christ and we talked

[1:23] about that in chapter 19 the battle of

[1:26] armageddon in the beginning of chapter

[1:28] number 20 as well

[1:29] and they're going to be ruling and

[1:31] reigning with christ throughout the

[1:32] millennial kingdom now there's three

[1:35] groups of people that are here in the

[1:36] millennial kingdom that'll be ruling and

[1:39] reigning with christ there's the church

[1:42] there's old testament saints and then

[1:44] there's those that are tribulation

[1:46] saints they're all mentioned in the

[1:48] bible reigning with christ

[1:51] and so to be there to rule and reign

[1:54] with christ we have what's referenced as

[1:56] the first resurrection

[1:59] now in order to understand the first

[2:01] resurrection that term we need to look

[2:04] at it through the lens of bible

[2:06] terminology so the first resurrection

[2:10] now jesus christ he was the first fruits

[2:14] of the resurrection in first corinthians

[2:17] 15 verses 22 through 25 it says this

[2:21] present adam all die even so in christ

[2:24] shall all be made alive but every man in

[2:28] his own order christ the firstfruits

[2:31] afterward they that are christ at his

[2:34] coming then cometh the end when he shall

[2:36] have delivered up the kingdom of god

[2:39] even the father when he shall have put

[2:41] down all rule and all authority and

[2:44] power for he must reign till he hath put

[2:47] all enemies

[2:48] under his feet

[2:50] so christ is the first fruits now you

[2:52] say pastor what does first fruits mean

[2:55] in old testament times there was the

[2:57] first fruits harvest sacrifice what

[3:01] would happen is the very beginning of

[3:02] the harvest season the first fruits

[3:04] there'd be a handfuls that be brought in

[3:07] and dedicated to the lord the first

[3:09] fruits and so when jesus christ

[3:12] resurrected from the dead

[3:14] the he was the firstfruits he was the

[3:16] one who started the first resurrection

[3:20] now on the day that jesus christ

[3:21] resurrected from the dead the bible

[3:23] tells us in the gospels that there were

[3:25] those in jerusalem that

[3:28] were saved or that we could say

[3:30] were uh

[3:31] believers they they resurrected from

[3:34] their graves and they went about

[3:36] jerusalem testifying of jesus christ we

[3:40] see that on when jesus was crucified

[3:43] when he cried it is finished some graves

[3:46] were opened

[3:47] but we don't find them coming out of the

[3:49] graves until his resurrection

[3:52] and so some of the believers that were

[3:53] there they came out of the graves

[3:55] imagine that day you're in town and all

[3:58] of a sudden your uncle who passed away

[4:00] who was a follower of the gospel a

[4:04] follower of jesus christ who believed in

[4:06] god was a faithful minister or faithful

[4:09] person of god can you imagine looking

[4:12] outside and there they are they were

[4:14] dead now they're alive walking around

[4:16] testifying of jesus

[4:18] so that first group as i mentioned the

[4:21] handfuls and so there's a handful there

[4:23] so that first resurrection christ is the

[4:26] first fruits and then there were those

[4:27] that were resurrected

[4:29] right at the time of jesus resurrection

[4:32] now the bible doesn't tell us what

[4:33] happens to those people so i'm not going

[4:36] to speculate on what happens but i

[4:38] personally would say this that i believe

[4:41] they were there for that period for that

[4:43] time to testify of jesus and then god

[4:45] took them to heaven

[4:47] now

[4:48] jesus christ is the first fruits and

[4:51] then the harvest

[4:53] is all that are saved from the old

[4:55] testament until the rapture of the

[4:57] church there the harvest in first

[4:59] corinthians 15 51 it says behold i show

[5:02] you a mystery we shall not all sleep but

[5:04] we shall all be changed in a moment in

[5:07] the twinkling of an eye at the last

[5:09] trunk for the trump shall sound and the

[5:11] dead and cry then shall be raised

[5:13] incorruptable and we shall be changed

[5:16] for this corruptable must put on

[5:17] incorruption and this mortal must put on

[5:20] immortality so when this corruptable

[5:22] shall have put on incorruption and this

[5:25] mortal shall have put on immortality

[5:27] then shall be brought to pass the saying

[5:29] that is written death is swallowed up

[5:32] in victory we could also look at first

[5:34] thessalonians 4 verses 16 through 18.

[5:37] for him the lord himself shall descend

[5:40] from heaven with a shout with the voice

[5:42] of the archangel the trump of god and

[5:43] the dead in christ shall rise first

[5:46] then we which are alive and remain shall

[5:48] be caught up together with them in the

[5:50] clouds to meet the lord in the air

[5:52] and so shall we ever be

[5:54] with the lord

[5:56] and so you've got the old testament

[5:57] saints and those that are in the church

[6:01] in christ now

[6:03] i want to remind you of something if

[6:04] you're harvesting

[6:06] especially in the days that the bible

[6:09] was written

[6:10] it's not just a one day harvest it takes

[6:14] multiple days

[6:15] and so the process now it's still called

[6:18] the same harvest whether they harvest it

[6:20] on monday tuesday wednesday thursday or

[6:23] friday it's still the same harvest and

[6:27] so the term first resurrection here is

[6:30] not a misprint in your bible they are

[6:32] all the first resurrection the first

[6:36] resurrection

[6:37] the classification are all those that

[6:39] are in christ all the believers those

[6:41] that believe in christ and so there's

[6:45] that first resurrection so the first

[6:47] fruits is jesus christ the harvest is

[6:51] those that were old testament saints and

[6:55] those in christ in the church now

[6:59] it continues on in our verse it talks

[7:01] about those that are saved during the

[7:03] tribulation

[7:04] those that were beheaded for the witness

[7:07] of jesus who didn't take the mark nor

[7:09] worship his image

[7:11] these we would call these the gleanings

[7:14] after they would go through and harvest

[7:16] out the field

[7:18] they would go back through and there

[7:19] would be little spots that were left

[7:21] behind the gleanings and they would pick

[7:23] up these here and these there and that

[7:26] was after the main harvest and so this

[7:29] first resurrection of the tribulation

[7:32] saints is at the end of the tribulation

[7:34] period

[7:36] and so they are resurrected and they go

[7:38] into the kingdom with jesus christ so a

[7:41] certain blessing is pronounced for those

[7:44] who are to be part of the first

[7:45] resurrection you say well how do you

[7:47] know the first resurrections about

[7:49] believers look at verse 6

[7:51] blessed and holy is he now you and i can

[7:55] have a desire to be holy or to be

[7:56] righteous but we can't be righteous

[7:58] without the blood of jesus christ and we

[8:01] can't be holy without him and so the

[8:04] only ones that can be part of that first

[8:06] resurrection are those that are in

[8:09] christ and so we have old testament

[8:11] saints we have the new testament saints

[8:14] and then the tribulation saints

[8:16] and so it continues on from there and it

[8:18] talks about the second

[8:20] resurrection verse number five but the

[8:22] rest of the dead lived not again until

[8:25] the thousand years were finished

[8:27] see those that are raised holy and

[8:30] blessed they are judged by god by

[8:33] according to their works what they did

[8:35] for him

[8:36] those that are resurrected the second

[8:38] time at the end of the millennial

[8:41] kingdom

[8:42] those are judged

[8:44] according to

[8:46] the judgment of god on whether or not

[8:50] they accepted jesus christ as their

[8:53] savior so they are judged based upon

[8:56] their decision of what they did with

[8:57] jesus we call that judgment the great

[9:00] white throne judgment which we'll look

[9:02] at very soon in an upcoming video

[9:05] and so the second resurrection there are

[9:07] a thousand years between the first and

[9:10] the second resurrection

[9:12] those who are raised here will stand

[9:14] before the great white throne judgment

[9:16] of god which is found in verse 11

[9:18] through 15

[9:19] there's no second chance

[9:21] as some dare to teach but there's not

[9:24] note the separation of the wheat and the

[9:26] tares which you find in matthew 13 verse

[9:29] 28 it mentions and compares it to this

[9:32] so you've got the resurrection part

[9:35] but he also says there's these thrones

[9:38] and they that set them gave judgment

[9:39] unto them

[9:40] and the period here last week we

[9:42] mentioned the controversial term the

[9:45] thousand years well it's a literal

[9:47] thousand years so we're going to use the

[9:48] word the thousand-year millennium

[9:51] the word millennium comes from the two

[9:54] latin forms milli thousand and a num

[9:57] which means year matthew made a

[9:59] reference to the kingdom of heaven which

[10:02] referred to the reign of christ on earth

[10:05] it's kind of a heaven on earth type

[10:07] situation

[10:08] other writers made references to the

[10:10] kingdom of god which may or may not have

[10:13] referred to the millennium

[10:15] generally speaking the kingdom of god

[10:18] refers to those that are saved

[10:20] determining what these verses might

[10:22] refer to

[10:23] kind of hinges on the context

[10:27] of what the other verses around it have

[10:28] to say

[10:30] so all of it has to be taken in context

[10:33] so we've got a thousand-year millennial

[10:36] reign so here's the structure of the

[10:38] millennium the time of the millennium

[10:41] well when does the millennium start well

[10:43] matthew 24

[10:44] 29-30 if you want to know the com

[10:47] greatest commentator on the bible is the

[10:49] bible itself

[10:50] matthew 24 verses 29 through 30

[10:53] immediately after the tribulation of

[10:56] those days shall the sun be darkened and

[10:58] the moon shall not give her light and

[11:00] the star shall fall from heaven and the

[11:02] powers of heaven shall be shaken

[11:04] and then

[11:06] shall appear the sign of the son of man

[11:09] in heaven and then shall all the tribes

[11:12] of the earth mourn they shall see the

[11:14] son of man coming in the clouds of

[11:16] heaven with power and great glory

[11:20] when does that happen well we just

[11:22] mentioned the second coming of jesus

[11:24] christ at the end of the tribulation

[11:27] period sets up the millennial kingdom so

[11:31] the time structure it comes at the close

[11:33] of the tribulation period the form of

[11:36] government it will be a theocracy which

[11:39] means a government ruled by god

[11:42] christ shall reign as the one world king

[11:45] unopposed by sin and satan who if you

[11:49] remember from chapter 19 verse 16 is now

[11:51] bound in the bottomless pit during these

[11:54] years

[11:55] but you also we reference that also when

[11:58] we heard about the angel in the

[12:00] beginning of chapter 20 who comes and

[12:02] binds him with a chain

[12:04] and so he continues on not only do we

[12:06] have the time and the form of government

[12:09] being a theocracy

[12:10] will have the seat of government so

[12:13] during the millennium christ will be

[12:15] ruling from jerusalem isaiah chapter 2

[12:18] verses 2 through 4 matthew chapter 19

[12:21] verses 28 are some scripture references

[12:23] that deal with that

[12:25] israel will become the chief nation of

[12:27] the world deuteronomy 28 13.

[12:31] it is there that the levites will have

[12:33] what ezekiel calls and holy oblation

[12:37] ezekiel 48 verses 15 through 19 and

[12:40] verses 30-35

[12:42] these levites will serve in the temple

[12:44] or sanctuary and will be in the midst of

[12:47] this oblation or offering

[12:49] so the seats going to be in jerusalem

[12:52] the conditions of the earth during the

[12:54] millennium now these are some

[12:55] interesting things

[12:56] what's it going to be like during the

[12:58] millennial kingdom well i'm so glad you

[13:00] asked it's going to be a time of peace

[13:03] micah 4 verses 2 through three and many

[13:06] nations shall come and say come let us

[13:09] go up to the mountain of the lord and to

[13:11] the house of god of the god of jacob and

[13:14] he will teach us of his ways and we will

[13:17] walk in his paths for the law shall go

[13:20] forth of zion and the word of the lord

[13:22] from jerusalem and he shall judge among

[13:24] many people and rebuke strong nations

[13:27] afar off and they shall beat their

[13:29] swords into plowshares and their spears

[13:32] into pruning hooks nations shall not

[13:34] lift up a sword against nation neither

[13:37] shall they learn war any more

[13:41] so it'll be a time of peace

[13:43] with a sub thought according to this

[13:45] verse there'll be no more military

[13:47] academies this peace will extend even to

[13:50] the animal kingdom

[13:52] not only will be there be peace among

[13:54] humans there'll be peace among the

[13:56] animal kingdom isaiah 11 verses 6 to 9

[13:59] describe it this way the wolf also shall

[14:02] dwell with the lamb and the leopard

[14:03] shall lie down with the kid the calf and

[14:06] the young lion and the fatling together

[14:08] and a little child shall lead them and

[14:10] the cow and the bear shall feed their

[14:12] young ones shall lie down together the

[14:15] lion shall eat straw like an ox the

[14:17] suckling child shall play on the whole

[14:18] of the ass and the weaned child shall

[14:21] put his hand on the cockatrice den

[14:23] they shall not hurt nor destroy any

[14:27] or excuse me

[14:28] nor destroy and all my holy mountain for

[14:31] the earth shall be full of the knowledge

[14:34] of the lord as the waters cover the sea

[14:37] so there'll be no more military

[14:40] academies it'll be a plea peace with

[14:42] humanity it'll be peace with the animal

[14:44] kingdom there'll be one language with

[14:46] the curse of babel removed zechariah 3

[14:49] verse 9 it'll be a time of prosperity

[14:53] there'll be no there'll be no want

[14:55] everybody will have what they need

[14:56] isaiah 35 verses 1-10

[14:59] the desert will be a place of many

[15:01] blossoms perhaps this is because

[15:03] there'll be an increase of light upon

[15:05] the earth

[15:06] israel's riches will be restored and its

[15:09] land again will be a land that flows

[15:11] with milk and honey joel chapter 2

[15:13] verses 24 and 26 in isaiah 55 13 don't

[15:17] have time to dive into all these

[15:19] references but wanted to give them to

[15:21] you

[15:22] it'll be a time of purity everything

[15:25] will be holy upon the earth isaiah 11 9

[15:28] verses isaiah 25 9 isaiah 66 23

[15:32] people will live for the opportunity to

[15:35] come and worship god zechariah 13 2 it

[15:39] shall come to pass in that day saith the

[15:41] lord of hosts that i will cut off the

[15:42] names of the idols out of the land and

[15:45] they shall no more be remembered and i

[15:49] and also i will cause the prophets and

[15:51] the unclean spirit to pass out of the

[15:54] land there won't be any apostasy there

[15:57] won't be any cults there won't be any

[15:59] isms

[16:00] all the other things that are there

[16:02] those will all pass away it'll be a

[16:04] theocracy jesus christ will reign and

[16:07] everyone will worship him

[16:10] it'll be a time of perpetual health

[16:12] isaiah 65 20 there shall be no more

[16:14] things and infant of days nor an old man

[16:17] that hath not filled his days for the

[16:19] child shall die in 100 years old but the

[16:22] sinner being in hundred years old shall

[16:24] be accursed

[16:25] human life we see will be prolonged as

[16:28] it was before the flood of noah's day

[16:31] it will be a time of personal joy isaiah

[16:34] 9 3 and 4 chapter 12 verses 3 and 6

[16:37] chapter 14 verses 7 and 8 chapter 25 of

[16:42] isaiah verses 8 and 9 chapter 30 verse

[16:45] 29 chapter 42 verse 1 and chapter 42

[16:49] verses 10 through 12.

[16:51] all of that's about personal joy the key

[16:54] ingredient in the millennium is going to

[16:55] be joy

[16:57] that is something that seems to be

[16:58] absent from much of what we do today

[17:01] isn't it we drudge through our days oh i

[17:04] got to get up and go to work i got to do

[17:06] this and i got to do that well when the

[17:08] millennial comes it's going to be a

[17:10] joyful time it's going to be a

[17:12] hallelujah day look at what god has done

[17:14] look what god is doing how wonderful it

[17:17] is it'll be a time of great perception

[17:20] of god isaiah 11 9 they shall not hurt

[17:24] nor destroy in all my holy mountain for

[17:27] the earth shall be full of the knowledge

[17:29] of the lord as the waters cover the sea

[17:32] people will want to know about jesus

[17:35] who rules from the front throne of david

[17:38] in holy and righteous judgment in verse

[17:41] number 4

[17:42] of revelation chapter number 20. so

[17:45] again we find that he's reigning for a

[17:47] thousand years and those that are

[17:49] tribulation saints old testament saints

[17:52] and church saints guess what he's got a

[17:54] job for you to fulfill

[17:56] some will be on throne some will be as

[17:58] priest unto god some will have different

[18:01] responsibilities and that's all based

[18:03] upon what you do with your life here on

[18:05] earth

[18:06] you can make a reservation for heaven

[18:09] today by accepting jesus christ as your

[18:11] savior this past sunday two sundays ago

[18:15] i should say uh when i was preaching i

[18:17] made mention of a tombstone there's a

[18:20] year that people are born on the

[18:22] tombstone and there's a year that people

[18:24] die but that dash in the middle

[18:27] determines what happens in eternity and

[18:29] what you do in the dash for jesus christ

[18:32] that little part of your life what you

[18:34] do with that determines how god uses you

[18:38] in eternity and the blessings of god

[18:40] you'll enjoy during the millennium

[18:43] so the bible says this blessed and holy

[18:45] is he that hath part in the first

[18:47] resurrection

[18:48] my friend i'm looking forward to the day

[18:51] that jesus christ calls us home now i'm

[18:54] not looking for the undertaker

[18:56] i am looking for the upper taker on

[18:58] god's prophetic calendar the next event

[19:01] is the rapture of the church in fact it

[19:03] could come out before this video comes

[19:05] out i'm very thankful for brother sam's

[19:08] ship he works on editing these videos

[19:10] and getting them uploaded so i don't

[19:12] know maybe one day brother sam's going

[19:13] to get a video he's going to upload it

[19:15] and it's going to be set to be released

[19:16] on wednesday

[19:18] but we won't be here to enjoy it we

[19:20] could be gone and absent from this earth

[19:23] and i look forward to the day that we

[19:24] get to go to heaven but until then i'm

[19:27] going to be faithful to serve the lord i

[19:28] want to challenge you to be faithful

[19:31] to serve god with all your heart and to

[19:33] be part of god's plan for this

[19:36] generation god's put you here to serve

[19:39] him in this day and in this time thanks

[19:42] for taking the time to stop by we'll see

[19:44] you next time right here on revelation

[19:47] revealed and you'll want to tune in next

[19:49] time as we talk about what happens to

[19:52] satan at the end of the millennial

[19:54] kingdom see you next time have a great

[19:56] day god bless you
