[0:54] Good evening. An American soldier

[1:06] Staff Sergeant Robert Bales. Bales is

[1:09] charged with 16 counts of premeditated

[1:12] murder and six counts of attempted

[1:19] Afghanistan in the middle of the night,

[1:22] then shot and stabbed civilians in two

[1:24] villages. The hearing at a military post

[1:27] in Washington State was called to decide

[1:29] whether there is enough evidence to

[1:31] court Marshall Bales. John Blackstone

[1:34] has been covering in the courtroom.

[1:37] Staff Sergeant Bales watched the video

[1:39] feed from Afghanistan showing no

[1:41] reaction as 10 Afghans told of the night

[1:44] their two villages were awakened by

[1:45] gunshots.
