[0:04] Washington insiders to top jobs on his
[0:06] foreign policy team. In Somalia, US

[0:37] President-elect Clinton has named the
[0:39] team that will lead the United States
[0:41] through matters of war and peace the
[0:43] next four years. At the top, his
[0:45] Secretary of State will be widely
[0:47] respected California lawyer and veteran
[0:49] diplomat Warren Christopher. Christopher
[0:51] has been head of the Clinton transition
[0:53] team and he was number two man at the
[0:55] Carter State Department during the Iran
[0:57] hostage outrage. Correspondent Susan
[0:59] Spencer is in Little Rock, Arkansas on
[1:02] the Clinton watch.
[1:06] >> With little foreign policy background
[1:07] himself, Mr. Clinton went to the roster
[1:09] of the Carter years for much of his
[1:11] team, explaining in a voice horse from
[1:14] allergies that that's where the
[1:15] expertise of his party is. That's the
[1:18] only Democratic administration we've had
[1:19] in 25 years. So, some of these people
[1:21] have had the privilege of serving there.
[1:23] But to say that this is a team of sort
[1:26] of retreads, I think which is the
[1:28] inference there would be totally unfair.
