[12:02] VBS um I was just grateful to be able to

[12:06] do it Pastor allowed me to help and I

[12:09] was excited and in my

[12:12] job um decided to change up my schedule

[12:15] so I wasn't I was worried I wasn't going

[12:17] to be able to do it but then I already

[12:19] purposed to do it so I told my job that

[12:22] uh hey I got I I promised my church I'd

[12:27] do this stuff so I kept on working on

[12:30] VBS trying to work and balance VBS and

[12:33] work at the same time it's really hard

[12:36] but it was a big blessing because I got

[12:39] to do both and you it was awesome

[12:43] because um God provided throughout VBS

[12:47] in multiple different ways it it's it's

[12:51] really it's a really long story so I'm

[12:53] not GNA take up all the time but it's

[12:57] amazing it was amazing um then getting

[13:00] to see after we got everything decorated

[13:03] with VBS and after we got everything put

[13:06] up see how it was and then seeing the

[13:09] kids come in and uh it was it was my I I

[13:15] can't say much I don't know what to say

[13:17] it's been it's it's a it's been a

[13:20] blessing and as a

[13:22] church I'm really glad to be a part of

[13:25] this church it it's it's been a blessing

[13:28] ever since I started started so and it

[13:30] just keeps getting better and better so

[14:14] um it really touched my

[14:17] heart but I told pastor this afternoon

[14:20] the thing that I'm sorry the thing that

[14:22] really touched my heart this this

[14:25] morning was the video and

[14:30] to try to to try to explain it to give a

[14:33] little bit of I guess why it really um

[14:37] affected me

[14:39] was I've I've just been struggling a lot

[14:44] lately and just

[14:47] um really feeling the attack of

[14:51] Satan just on me on my

[14:54] family and

[14:56] um sometimes you can even look around at

[15:00] other people and and I was telling a

[15:02] lady this morning that you can just look

[15:05] around sometimes and see how hard the

[15:09] devil fights and you can see it in

[15:12] people's lives I mean you can it was

[15:15] like you can just look all around you

[15:16] and and I feel like you know being in

[15:19] the

[15:20] ministry pastor and I we know a little

[15:23] bit more of people's stories and and uh

[15:27] sometimes it can get hard to to

[15:30] encourage others and to stay encouraged

[15:34] when you see the devastation you see the

[15:37] destruction you see the turmoil all

[15:40] around you you feel it in your own life

[15:42] you feel the personal attacks constantly

[15:45] from Satan and sometimes he's a good

[15:48] Illusionist he just he just he diso he

[15:51] disguises them and sometimes it can make

[15:55] you even confused in your own thinking

[15:57] Where You Don't See him and he's good at

[16:01] like coming at you from angles that you

[16:03] don't realize it's him but this

[16:06] morning that watching that VBS

[16:10] video it was just

[16:14] like it was just like God just revealed

[16:17] to

[16:18] me that it's worth it it's it's just

[16:22] worth

[16:23] it it's worth all the hard things you go

[16:26] through it's worth the trials and the

[16:31] the things that you face and it kind of

[16:35] reminded me it was like God was telling

[16:37] me this is kind of what heaven is going

[16:40] to be like if you stick in the fight and

[16:43] you stick it in there and you you keep

[16:46] going for God even when it's hard even

[16:49] when it's really trying but one of these

[16:52] days when we get to heaven it's going to

[16:54] be like this God's going to show it and

[16:57] he's going to say look look what

[17:00] happened and it's amazing to me

[17:03] because I can look at our church and I

[17:06] just I can't take credit for it you know

[17:09] it's God and I see the work of God in

[17:12] people's lives and in my own life and I

[17:15] don't know it just did something to me

[17:16] where it made me realize hey It Shine

[17:19] the Light on the devil and it exposed it

[17:22] exposed him in my life and it made me

[17:24] see what he's been doing to me in my own

[17:28] mind and in my own heart in my own life

[17:31] and then it was like God was telling me

[17:33] hey it's worth it to just keep going and

[17:36] and to stay in the fights amen very

[17:40] good other testimony tonight in this

[17:43] first round brother Canton um well I was

[17:46] really glad to be part of uh VBS this

[17:48] year uh first time being a full

[17:51] volunteer um it was a huge blessing

[17:53] being able to help brother Rick with uh

[17:55] setting up for VBS and all the hands

[17:57] that uh went into to it a lot of uh Hard

[18:01] Times a lot of painful times but a lot

[18:03] of good times and it made it so worth it

[18:07] when it was clicking in uh the kids

[18:09] heads and uh it was so much fun to you

[18:12] know pick them up on the bus and sit

[18:14] down talk to them and seeing uh how

[18:17] they're responding to the skits and then

[18:19] um I'm just so blessed that uh uh you

[18:23] gave me the um the ability to lead the

[18:26] third and fourth grade class and gave me

[18:28] great work ERS and I got to go in the

[18:30] review room and review the lesson and

[18:33] seeing seeing everything come together

[18:35] for them and seeing that yeah VBS

[18:39] setting up is hard I'm losing my voice

[18:42] I'm tired but it's worth it amen it's

[18:44] it's so worth it and I'm so blessed that

[18:47] the Lord got to use me to save two young

[18:49] people and to to use the time that

[18:53] everyone put in that you know kids are

[18:58] still people are still being saved it's

[19:00] still worth it God's still moving

[19:02] people's lives and it was just so cool

[19:05] to be a part of it and to see it

[19:07] firsthand because like you said the

[19:09] world sometimes we can just be like a

[19:12] thermometer where it's like oh wow this

[19:14] world is it's it's getting Wicked and

[19:16] wicked by the day but when you get to

[19:19] see that God is still moving and that we

[19:22] can we can still uh do good for God is a

[19:25] blessing amen praise the Lord good any

[19:29] other testimony this

[19:31] round right over here brother

[19:38] Charlie for about the last 20 25 years

[19:41] I've suffered from

[19:43] neuropathy uh the last couple years it's

[19:46] gotten really

[19:47] severe

[19:49] um if you don't know what it is it's

[19:55] um uh

[20:00] legs or whatever anyway it's been a real

[20:02] issue with me and we had been praying

[20:05] we've we spent a lot of money we've gone

[20:07] to a lot of different doctors we've

[20:09] rubbed everything and we can on my feet

[20:11] I've used tens units but I recently saw

[20:14] an ad locally here where a doctor and a

[20:18] group of uh folks said that you know

[20:21] they're having real good results so I

[20:24] met with them first in uh in May and um

[20:28] I I have uh my insurance is Medicare and

[20:31] then I have a secondary insurance

[20:32] that'll usually pick up about anything

[20:35] which is through a sharing

[20:37] program but uh they in the beginning

[20:40] were giving us a hard time about whether

[20:42] they wanted to take care of it or not or

[20:44] whatever but

[20:46] anyway um they decided uh they would and

[20:50] I just started treatment this last uh

[20:53] week and

[20:55] um the treatment cost between 10 and

[20:58] 15,000 and they're going to take care of

[21:00] all of it amen praise the Lord a real

[21:02] blessing amen praise the Lord praise the

[21:05] Lord for that Amen brother

[21:07] Ricky so um I was told to give God the

[21:11] honor and glory for this situation and I

[21:14] couldn't pass without telling you this

[21:16] story so during VBS uh me and my family

[21:21] we ran into some hard times

[21:24] and this is the biggest blessing I've

[21:27] ever seen it actually Open my my eyes so

[21:29] I'm going to have to share with you

[21:31] because I I was told to give God the

[21:33] honor and Glory so I'm going to share it

[21:35] with

[21:35] you I won't feel right if I don't so we

[21:39] come into VBS one

[21:41] night

[21:43] and I isn't knowing how I was going to

[21:45] get my kids and my family some food this

[21:48] this particular

[21:50] day and so we come we come in we start

[21:54] working and on the way in I me praying

[22:00] is really hard for me because I feel

[22:01] like there's other people that are more

[22:03] important than me that need it way more

[22:06] but I decided to pray I said dealer you

[22:09] got to do something CU I'm done I have

[22:11] nothing I have nothing

[22:14] anymore and I'm at the end I have no

[22:17] extra way to get money I have no extra

[22:19] way to get anything and I'm at the

[22:22] last5 t0 of my

[22:25] paycheck and this story

[22:29] is I've I've seen it done I've never

[22:31] lived it I mean I've seen it happen in

[22:35] my parents' life and I seen it happen in

[22:36] other people's lives comeing to church

[22:39] and I'm

[22:41] working

[22:44] and Miss Jennifer comes up and says hey

[22:48] somebody brought swad Le for everybody

[22:50] for everybody that works in a junior on

[22:54] VBS they're bring they bring food I'm

[22:57] like home man that's crazy I sit down

[23:01] and I tell I kind of shared the

[23:03] situation with somebody else I was

[23:05] across the table for me I'm like you

[23:07] know what I didn't know how I was going

[23:08] to eat today I didn't know how I was

[23:10] going to get food

[23:11] today and I was like it's crazy I prayed

[23:15] and God answered my

[23:17] prayer and we get the food we eat and my

[23:20] family got to eat good that day and at

[23:23] the end of the going on through the day

[23:27] they gave us some of the leftovers and

[23:30] then at the end of the day somebody Taps

[23:33] me on the shoulder and says hey do you

[23:35] like this kind of food I was like yes I

[23:38] love food that's

[23:40] amazing food yes and he like well I I

[23:45] got I got a little bit of something for

[23:47] you in the back I was like okay and I'm

[23:50] going through my day and so he goes hey

[23:53] come back here I got I gotta show you

[23:55] this so I I come

[23:57] back and pull out two big old

[24:01] bags big old bags of meats and stuff and

[24:04] says hey will this work

[24:06] for you don't even know you have no clue

[24:11] you don't have a clue what you just did

[24:14] and old

[24:15] man at the time of need I don't even

[24:20] know

[24:22] and I

[24:25] asked to give this stuff too and he said

[24:29] I told me

[24:31] yeah yeah thank you for listening

[24:34] because I prayed and you're my answer to

[24:38] prayer and me life I've never seen God

[24:42] work like that in my life ever like that

[24:44] yeah and I I told my

[24:49] dad actual God yeah and he's been God to

[24:54] me but he's not been my God and this is

[24:57] crazy this is the craziest ride I've

[25:00] ever been through it's been up and down

[25:03] and all around

[25:05] and I'm actually happier than I've been

[25:07] in a long time amen praise the Lord

[25:14] even when we don't know and we just got

[25:16] to be sensitive to know that sometimes

[25:19] God uses people to be a blessing an

[25:23] extension of God's love to others so

[41:05] between me and God no matter how much I

[41:10] him I can't I it's like I feel his

[41:14] presence in my life but I feel a

[41:16] distance

[41:22] um I think in a a lot of ways sometimes

[41:25] I'm glad that it happens because at

[41:27] least it like compels me to get closer

[41:30] to him because otherwise I wouldn't be

[41:31] growing in any kind of way um but

[41:35] sometimes it does get to the point where

[41:47] like he never moves you're the one who

[41:53] and I kind of went into this summer not

[41:55] really knowing how it would go I thought

[41:57] thought it would just kind of be like

[41:58] okay this is sort of depressing I don't

[42:01] know sometimes you can get like that um

[42:08] I I know everyone was talking about VBS

[42:11] um and honestly

[42:14] that experience kind of changed

[42:17] everything for the better because like

[42:19] Miss Jennifer was saying it really shows

[42:23] you how God is there

[42:27] yeah he's ready to move he's ready to

[42:30] work

[42:33] and it's hard sometimes I grew up on the

[42:37] mission field and I constantly saw God

[42:40] working and he was working right in

[42:41] front of me he was right there working

[42:43] for me for our family I just saw it so

[42:46] vividly all the time and you know you

[42:49] move back to the States and it's a very

[42:51] apathetic Christianity here sometimes

[42:54] and you know in my age group I don't

[42:57] always see people who are really

[42:59] passionate

[43:00] um this church is really good about that

[43:03] I feel personally I think our youth

[43:05] group has a really good passion for the

[43:06] Lord and we're really close in it and

[43:08] good at lifting each other up but um

[43:12] even I kind of felt like a little bit of

[43:13] a boundary between me and them for a

[43:15] while and it was like this youthcon kind

[43:17] or not youthcon sorry this that's on my

[43:20] mind because it's coming up this

[43:22] BBS

[43:24] um kind of Drew everyone together

[43:28] within Ministry which is like a

[43:30] different kind of closeness just being

[43:33] able to I mean I definitely did not do

[43:36] much with the decorating I helped a

[43:38] little bit it was fun it was super fun

[43:41] um but being able to see what they came

[43:43] up with and how well you guys work with

[43:46] one another and then to be able to work

[43:48] with the kids and to really just

[43:52] see I don't know to see the light in

[43:55] their come back into their eyes

[43:57] and not all of them are from the best

[44:00] families

[44:02] um just to be able to love

[44:06] them to talk with them like I

[44:15] don't I never had siblings growing

[44:19] up and it's like I like to be able to

[44:23] spend that much time out of the week

[44:24] with kids I just felt almost like

[44:26] maternal love I love you so much I

[44:29] couldn't explain it and I just wanted

[44:31] the best for them I was I wanted them

[44:35] to to just realize how good God is at

[44:40] such a young age because that is so

[44:42] possible that is so possible and that's

[44:44] what the whole week was about and to

[44:46] hear that three of them got saved is

[44:49] like so incredible it's like three those

[44:52] are three Souls that we're going to see

[44:54] in heaven one

[44:55] day um

[44:57] so that was just so incredible and such

[44:59] a privilege and just on top of that the

[45:03] whole week is just so full of some of

[45:05] like the best memories and I remember

[45:08] going home to my parents one fews and it

[45:12] was actually the night my birthday fell

[45:15] on a VBS night and our family had

[45:18] already celebrated you know a week

[45:21] before because that day was going to be

[45:22] really busy and I was like uh it's just

[45:24] going to be another day like I already

[45:25] celebrated my birthday and and it was

[45:27] kind of weird I woke up that morning it

[45:29] just felt really odd to be another day

[45:31] older because the year went by so

[45:34] quickly and I don't like it it keeps

[45:35] going by quicker and quicker and it just

[45:37] felt odd and I went to work and I was

[45:39] like God can you please just give me

[45:40] like some kind of something I don't know

[45:42] I just need

[45:44] something I just need to feel you I need

[45:46] to know that you're you're looking down

[45:48] on

[45:49] me just say something to

[45:52] me and um we I got out of a staff

[45:55] meeting and I went to a

[45:58] certain section where I work and a

[46:01] random little girl came up to me um and

[46:05] she comes right up to me and she says

[46:07] today's my

[46:10] birthday and I said really did you know

[46:14] today is my birthday and she was like no

[46:16] way and I was like we're Birthday Twins

[46:18] and then she showed me a little gift she

[46:19] got and we talked for a while but I'm

[46:22] like 90% sure that she was an

[46:25] angel because how does that

[46:28] happen and then I came to VBS and I had

[46:32] the best day with all of the

[46:36] kids when we got

[46:39] back Mary had made me cupcakes and so

[46:42] had

[46:43] Priscilla and it's like you guys

[46:47] celebrated with me I don't know I got to

[46:50] spend my birthday with my favorite

[46:51] people in the world with my family and

[46:53] the people I work with and all of our

[46:56] friends here

[46:58] and like it was such a special day I

[47:00] think it might be the most

[47:03] memorable celebration I've had so far

[47:05] and I don't know I I hate kind of saying

[47:07] it because it almost feels like oh my

[47:09] birthday blah blah blah I'm not trying

[47:11] to say it in any kind of a selfish way I

[47:14] am so amazed at how people band

[47:21] together for people who truly mean

[47:23] something to them and I hope that I can

[47:26] be that person other people and I just

[47:29] distinctly remember coming home from

[47:30] that night and just telling my parents

[47:32] that I feel so healed like I felt like

[47:35] one day and one night was just like a

[47:38] complete like 24 hours of just healing

[47:41] of God being like you're done you're

[47:44] done being tired you're done being sick

[47:46] you're done

[47:48] being just in your rut and since then

[47:51] I've just felt so joyful and yeah I've

[47:53] Had My Moments because we all do we're

[47:55] human we do

[47:57] happiness and joy are so different and I

[47:59] feel like especially in Ministry too you

[48:01] can kind of like put on a face of oh I'm

[48:04] happy I'm blah blah blah but to feel the

[48:06] joy of the Lord even in like the deepest

[48:09] darkest moments of your life however you

[48:12] know whatever it is whatever it may be

[48:14] is so special and to be able to share

[48:17] that with other people and just so just

[48:20] that and just to be able to see how

[48:22] passionate all of us became for the kids

[48:26] like I really saw a lot of people in our

[48:29] youth group Step Up in ways that I

[48:31] hadn't before and really be like oh this

[48:34] is why we're working with the kids this

[48:36] is why we're on

[48:37] bus

[48:39] um that was so incredible that all the

[48:42] nights we spent together teaching the

[48:46] kids playing with them our bus rivalry

[48:50] that

[48:51] was totally normal and really calm and

[48:54] not obsessive at all sure

[48:57] um bus number two is the best no bus

[49:00] number

[49:01] one um bus number one um just that and

[49:06] just I don't know I I could just feel it

[49:10] I could feel like Christ knitting us all

[49:12] together and it was beautiful and I'm

[49:14] just really excited to see where that

[49:18] goes and what we can do with that amen

[49:46] um so 16 months ago I'm ashamed to say

[49:49] this but uh I was uh I was angry with

[49:53] God and uh I sought out to disprove him

[49:56] and and uh whenever I was doing that I

[49:58] stumbled across this verse in the Bible

[50:01] that talked about the very best meal

[50:02] plan that ever was ever is and ever will

[50:04] be period so I thought all I have to do

[50:06] is disprove this meal plan and I went on

[50:09] it and 16 months later I've never felt

[50:12] better in my life whenever I started

[50:14] this meal plan I was 265 PBS I went from

[50:18] 265 to 185 pounds and then from 185 to

[50:23] 210 which is where I am now and this

[50:26] meal plan has totally changed my life

[50:28] and uh the way that I view God or who

[50:32] God is and uh how big he actually

[50:42] is sometimes God uses little things in

[50:45] our life to be big things to show us him

[50:48] and to show us who he is and how he's at

[50:50] work it's

[50:53] amazing

[50:55] okay I'm a nervous girl

[51:02] anyway very lonely girl and good home

[51:07] life and my parents never let about God

[51:12] and you slide your hand up just a little

[51:14] bit on that mic that receiver's there

[51:16] you go right there try that and they

[51:19] never let me learn about God and one day

[51:23] Keegan came home and he said I want to

[51:26] know God and of course as a parent you

[51:28] want to give your kids everything they

[51:32] want in life and I was like okay okay

[51:37] and a shame that's been probably a year

[51:41] ago and then Addie a couple

[51:43] months after that said she wanted to

[51:46] know about God and I'm like I don't know

[51:49] nothing about God I know of God and I

[51:53] heard of God and you

[51:57] I thought that you had to do so many

[52:01] things to get to God and I only heard

[52:04] about religion and I was like okay let

[52:09] me let me figure this out and for some

[52:14] reason the last months after she had

[52:18] asked I was talking to this person I

[52:21] didn't know who I was talking to but I

[52:24] didn't feel lonely for some reason M

[52:28] and we came in June finally we got here

[52:33] and I came for the kids

[52:37] but this lonely girl that didn't

[52:41] know what she was or who she was or what

[52:45] she needed in life needed this church

[52:48] cuz I didn't know that you had have to

[52:53] be doing all these steps to get to

[52:56] heaven you just had to believe in him

[52:59] and all and I've never felt more of at

[53:04] home than I do here I've told

[53:08] Brian which he's the first person that

[53:11] ever made me feel love I know you said

[53:13] don't say about your but I think God

[53:17] gave me him because his family is

[53:21] religious I mean not religious but

[53:23] believes in God and yes Christians and

[53:28] he was always telling me we've been

[53:30] married 13 years and he's like God is

[53:34] great and all this and I never got the

[53:37] opportunity to know him and anything and

[53:42] sorry I'm rambling but

[53:46] uh then I realized after a couple times

[53:50] of coming here I wasn't coming for them

[53:52] anymore I was coming for me and I was

[53:55] like y'all don't even even have to come

[53:57] I'm coming you know I can go alone like

[54:01] I don't care I'm just going to

[54:03] come and uh then I learned about the

[54:08] women's retreat and I was so excited I

[54:11] was like oh goodness I got to learn more

[54:14] about God and then they uh said we might

[54:19] not be able to go and I was like so

[54:21] bummed and I was like wonder if anybody

[54:25] else is bummed about maybe possibly not

[54:28] going and uh your wife had said maybe we

[54:32] could go to a escape room and I'm like I

[54:36] don't want to go I escape room's fun you

[54:39] know but I wanted to learn about God and

[54:43] she had talked to the ladies and they

[54:45] had said she gave them options like do

[54:48] we wait till Monday to see if we get a

[54:51] go and risk not going to the deal and

[54:56] all Ladi said we rather wait and I was

[54:59] thinking what a blessing that is that

[55:02] our women would rather wait to see if we

[55:05] get to experience something with God

[55:08] other than an escape room yeah and it's

[55:11] just I've felt so light and like I've

[55:17] struggled with anxiety and depression

[55:20] and

[55:22] like I've been on medicine and I just

[55:26] don't don't have those feelings now and

[55:28] I've learned so much in just these few

[55:31] weeks that I've been here than my whole

[55:33] 37 years of life and I'm

[55:36] like maybe because we just moved to

[55:39] eleno yeah we never knew about this

[55:42] church we never like Elena what and I

[55:47] think he said move here without knowing

[55:51] he said move here go here and you'll get

[55:54] what you need amen and and I'm just

[55:56] really glad to have met sorry I get

[56:00] fidgety and I just met a bunch of people

[56:05] and I'm really loving getting learn

[56:07] about God and feeling at home here amen

[56:10] praise the Lord good yes ma'am back here

[56:13] in the

[56:17] back I had a situation where um a very

[56:21] longtime friend of mine pretty much

[56:23] there was it's a lot to go into but they

[56:26] told me that they didn't want anything

[56:28] to do with me anymore and it's not

[56:31] something that's a big deal but it's

[56:33] something that I look back at two years

[56:36] ago and it would have hurt me a lot more

[56:39] than I could even say because it was

[56:40] someone who was really close to me and I

[56:43] heard that a few weeks ago and God took

[56:48] all the sting out of it yeah there was I

[56:52] there wasn't any tears I just sat and it

[56:56] it was uh later at night when um I was

[56:59] told this

[57:01] and I sat up and I just felt so blessed

[57:06] and instead of feeling a sense of loss

[57:08] or a sense of sadness God just gave me a

[57:10] lot of peace with the situation and

[57:12] showed me how he had almost prepared me

[57:15] for it in some ways and it's not

[57:17] something that I mean people friendships

[57:19] is allow all the time and people lose

[57:21] friends but I'm so glad that I serve a

[57:23] God that um

[57:26] cares about the little hurts and still

[57:29] takes pain away even when it's something

[57:32] little or tiny or something that's in

[57:35] the grand scheme of things was never

[57:36] that big of a deal but I can see that he

[57:40] actually did care about the situation

[57:42] and he had his hand on me and I just I

[57:45] really did feel his peace and his

[57:48] presence because it was something that

[57:50] like I said two years ago or any other

[57:52] time it it should have stung it should

[57:54] have hurt a lot more but it it didn't

[57:57] and I know he took that away and like I

[58:00] said I'm just so grateful that um God's

[58:03] the type of God who it doesn't matter if

[58:05] it's a little problem or something that

[58:07] oh that's not a big deal he still looks

[58:10] and he still takes care of us amen and

[58:13] is there for us even for the smallest

[58:15] things amen very good other testimonies

[58:19] tonight

[59:16] you would have physical and spiritual

[59:19] strength and God sure delivered through

[59:22] you I appreciate each and every one of

[60:25] explain it like God is watching me every

[60:28] day yeah and since I started coming here

[60:31] like everybody welcomed me and treated

[60:34] me like I was family and since when like

[60:38] when I would come and visit my dad I

[60:40] would come and like come to church every

[60:42] now and then but this is the longest I

[60:45] actually in the in a year that I

[60:47] actually came to church straight and

[60:49] just start coming amen thank you praise

[61:34] bus routes and so it's amazing what God

[61:37] can do if we're just faithful to serve

[61:53] have been some times where

[61:57] the bus Ministry this working all week

[62:00] getting to the weekend and I'm worn out

[62:04] gonna have to get up and go to the bus

[62:06] in the morning and uh it's just every

[62:09] morning getting here and just seeing the

[62:10] smiles on those kids faces knowing that

[62:13] they're coming here they're learning

[62:15] more about the Lord and that uh there's

[62:18] always that chance that one of them is

[62:19] going to get saved it it just makes it

[62:21] all worth

[62:23] it told the bus workers and bus meeting

[62:26] this morning uh we had a young lady that

[62:29] rode the bus Sunday night first time she

[62:30] ever heard about Jesus and the gospel

[62:33] and got saved that night we may only

[62:36] have him for one

[62:39] service we may only get them for one

[62:42] service so we we need to do everything

[62:44] we can to point him to Jesus so every

[62:47] Sunday school teacher every Junior

[62:49] Church teacher every preach you you may

[62:50] get them for one service let them hear

[62:54] about Christ we only get we may only get

[62:57] one opportunity we got some been riding

[62:59] for years praise the Lord for

[63:01] that got some big bus kids sitting on

[63:04] the front row I I'll be up here rode the

[63:07] bus for years thankful for all those who

[63:09] are involved in that take one more

[63:12] testimony tonight brother

[63:14] scooter right up here in the

[63:18] front I just just want to thank

[63:21] everybody for the prayers you know one

[63:23] of the things that you can always do is

[63:25] get comfortable yeah and when you work

[63:28] in a certain position for over 10 years

[63:30] and then they're like hey it's nice

[63:32] knowing you oh by the way bring

[63:35] everything back and don't let the door

[63:36] hit you and um and then you're like okay

[63:41] so at 55 I'll be able to get a job like

[63:46] uh yeah no no then the job I do get is a

[63:51] job that is not normal and I'm not

[63:55] judging that's wrong but but it's just

[63:58] not normal and I know that many of you

[64:00] work in different jobs too and you have

[64:03] to hear and see things but when you work

[64:06] in a job where they want you to connive

[64:10] to make

[64:11] up basically to lie and you don't do it

[64:15] and you don't care that they don't like

[64:17] you don't do it I think the Lord will

[64:19] take care of you amen and so it's been a

[64:22] hard three months um and I appreciate

[64:25] appreciate my wife who's put up with a

[64:27] lot of changes with my schedule and all

[64:30] of that but you know finally you know

[64:33] and I hope that this they said I'm hired

[64:35] and I hope I am meaning you know I hope

[64:38] that you know I could pass their

[64:40] trainings and all that but I think I'll

[64:42] do fine the main thing

[64:44] is if you don't come and be with your

[64:48] family in

[64:50] Christ you have no one other than God

[64:52] himself who can also pray and help you

[64:55] and so in the four and a half years that

[64:57] I and Cindy have been here it's been

[64:59] it's been very helpful in every single

[65:02] way shape or form and the last thing

[65:05] that I wanted was that to hit me when we

[65:07] have a pastor who's amazed us all with

[65:10] that

[65:11] surgery and we won't even go into the ER

[65:14] and how that all fell down for you um

[65:19] but you know what I mean I think you

[65:20] know and then you have Jennifer who's

[65:23] having

[65:24] to be there for her husband but also

[65:26] having five

[65:28] boys and then everybody reaching out to

[65:32] her over the

[65:34] pastor that is something that nobody

[65:36] really knows what that's like unless

[65:38] they've gone through that before and

[65:39] that's why I

[65:41] appreciate the family here who prayed

[65:44] for them and still do and we need to

[65:48] continue to pray for one another we are

[65:50] giving we're getting into even a harder

[65:51] time of

[65:53] living when this becomes outlawed we've

[65:57] got to be careful and just be we need to

[66:00] get this Bible in our brains so I want

[66:58] and sometimes it's

[67:00] hard sometimes you get tired from just

[67:05] like VBS this

[67:06] week uh we had a skit and a man

[67:10] represented he was walking down the road

[67:12] to faithville he was reading his Bible

[67:14] he was praying every day but yet he

[67:17] still battled tough times he still had

[67:20] struggles like everybody else but yet

[67:24] even in those times the Lord's right

[67:25] there he may not approve of what's

[67:28] happening but he's allowing it to happen

[67:30] for a purpose and he has a plan for it

[67:33] this morning's message about the

[67:35] thermometer and the

[67:37] thermostat it was right on point because

[67:41] this world is wicked but what are we

[67:43] doing about it are we praying for it are

[67:45] we witnessing to others

[67:48] because we are Christians what are we

[67:50] supposed to be doing right yet we sit

[67:53] and we look sometimes but but God's

[67:56] given us an opportunity in many places

[67:59] God gives us people around us to help

[68:02] and to encourage and to walk beside and

[68:05] to help keep each other

[68:07] going and BBs this week even though it's

[68:11] for the kids and the teenagers and we

[68:13] worked hard and we did our best to show

[68:16] them who God is and what he can do and

[68:18] show them the the road of life it was

[68:21] for adults too and it was for Christians

[68:24] in their own life because we have have

[68:25] struggles we have hard times but God's

[68:28] right there and he wants to help us we

[68:31] just have to be willing to say Lord I'll

[68:33] just keep serving you I'll just keep

[68:34] trusting you I'm just going to keep

[68:36] serving you and he'll

[68:38] bless and I'm really thankful for

[68:41] everybody in the time they put in for

[68:42] VBS because it meant a lot to those kids

[68:45] and this is a moment that they're going

[68:47] to remember throughout their life and

[68:49] there's many people that said I used to

[68:52] ride the bus here and I want my kids to

[68:54] ride the bus because I used to ride the

[68:56] bus and I know this church cares so

[72:07] things that you ought not to

[72:11] think are you acting in certain ways

[72:14] because of what your thoughts have

[72:17] said have your thoughts LED

[72:22] you to action

[72:25] contrary to

[72:27] God so we want to challenge you this

[72:29] week to take

[72:31] inventory of your thought

[72:34] life I want you to notice this week on

[72:38] purpose pay

[72:39] attention take the

[72:41] challenge notice this

[72:44] week take thought of your

[72:50] thoughts you might be

[72:53] surprised how often

[72:56] there's a battle taking place in your

[73:00] mind take thought of your thoughts to

[73:05] notice how often the battle is taking

[73:08] place in your

[73:11] mind and then as you take thought of

[73:14] that and you pay attention to that take

[73:17] note so we're taking thought of our

[73:19] thoughts take note of the actions and

[73:23] the feelings that Ur after your thoughts

[73:28] take note of the actions and the

[73:32] feelings that occur after your

[73:37] thoughts so pay attention this week take

[73:41] thought to what you're thinking and

[73:44] where those thoughts are coming from

[73:47] take note to the actions and the

[73:49] feelings that are results of the

[73:52] thoughts that you're thinking

[73:58] then bring into

[74:01] captivity those

[74:05] thoughts now how do we do that turn over

[74:08] to Hebrews chapter 4 verse number

[74:12] 12 Hebrews chapter 4 verse number 12 if

[74:17] you underline verses in your Bible I'd

[74:19] recommend underlining the verse it's

[74:22] underlined in my Bible I recommend you

[74:25] underline it in your Bible Hebrews 4:12

[74:28] for the word of God is quick and

[74:32] Powerful sharper than any two-edged

[74:35] sword piercing even to the dividing of

[74:38] sunder of Soul and Spirit and is a

[74:41] discerner of

[74:43] the

[74:45] thoughts and

[74:48] intense of the

[74:51] heart so bringing it into captivity

[74:55] means you got to bring it to the word

[74:58] and the word will discern for you if

[75:01] that's from God or if it's

[75:04] not so you got to take thought of what

[75:07] you're thinking take note of the actions

[75:09] and feelings and then thirdly bring it

[75:11] into captivity to the word of

[75:15] God now some of us are going to feel

[75:17] things this

[75:19] week that are not of

[75:23] God some of us are going to take actions

[75:26] this week that are not of

[75:29] God and it started when we didn't bring

[75:32] into captivity the

[75:35] thought the battle of the mind is the

[75:38] Battle Ground you and I need to be

[75:40] careful

[75:42] of be careful do not let your mind

[75:46] wander it will wander into areas it's

[75:49] not supposed to be

[75:52] in bring into captivity

[75:55] our weapons of warfare are not

[75:58] carnal it's not wrapping aluminum foil

[76:01] around your head and say no intrusive

[76:03] thoughts are getting in the foil that's

[76:05] not going to

[76:06] work but it's bringing into captivity

[76:09] every thought to The Obedience of

[76:13] Christ that is a powerful weapon through

[76:18] word then if we take note of what

[76:22] actions and feelings and then we take

[76:25] action to bring into captivity The

[76:28] Thoughts by the end of the week we

[76:30] should be practicing Philippians chapter

[76:34] number

[76:37] four Philippians chapter 4 verse number

[76:43] eight finally Brethren whatsoever things

[76:46] are true whatsoever things are honest

[76:49] whatsoever things are just whatsoever

[76:51] things are pure excuse me whatsoever

[76:52] things are lovely whatsoever things are

[76:53] of good report if there be any virtue

[76:56] and if there be any praise think on

[77:02] things what you think affects how you

[77:06] feel and how you feel affects how you

[77:10] think in case you missed it I'll say it

[77:13] again what you think affects how you

[77:16] feel and what you feel affects how you

[77:18] think it is a cycle and if we're not

[77:22] careful it produces a downward spiral

[77:26] we heard testimony tonight of people

[77:28] feeling far away from God we heard

[77:30] testimony tonight of people seeing God

[77:33] revealed to them certain things through

[77:35] certain situations and God didn't do it

[77:38] for you like he did it for them but for

[77:40] them he did it for them so that they

[77:42] could think on

[77:44] him and

[77:46] tonight I want you to take some thought

[77:48] of your thoughts this week want to

[77:51] challenge it to on purpose pay attention

[77:56] be the thermostat of your thinking this

[77:59] week and find yourself going where did

[78:02] that thought come

[78:04] from that's not from God where did that

[78:08] thought come from where did that feeling

[78:11] come

[78:13] from where did that action come

[78:17] from and if the thoughts the feelings

[78:20] and the actions are contrary to the word

[78:22] of God we ought not to do them

[78:26] if the thoughts the feeling and the

[78:28] actions are contrary to the word of God

[78:30] we ought not to do

[78:33] them so we've got a filter found in

[78:36] Philippians

[78:38] 4:8 so your homework for the week I know

[78:41] School hasn't started yet but your

[78:43] homework for the week I promise you if

[78:46] you will take inventory this week of

[78:49] your

[78:51] thoughts pay attention to your thought

[78:55] life this

[78:56] week and then take note of how you feel

[78:59] about what you're thinking and take note

[79:02] of the actions that happen because of

[79:04] your

[79:05] thoughts you're going to realize I've

[79:08] been having some thought problems this

[79:10] week and I need to take some

[79:14] action if the thought is contrary to the

[79:16] word of God replace it with the word of

[79:20] God Psalms tells us Thy word have I hid

[79:23] in my heart that I might not sin against

[79:25] God the word in US helps us to live how

[79:29] we ought to

[79:31] live so take thought of your thoughts

[79:34] take notes of the feelings and the

[79:37] actions take action to bring it into

[79:40] captivity and subjection to the word of

[79:42] God use the word of God it's quick it's

[79:45] powerful it's sharper than any two-edged

[79:48] sword it can Pierce through the thoughts

[79:51] and intents of your

[79:53] heart and then run it through the filter

[79:57] is it honest is it true is it pure is it

[80:01] lovely is it of good

[80:04] report if it doesn't make it through the

[80:06] filter you don't need to think about

[80:10] it

[80:14] now men have a weird

[80:19] brain because men have a brain when you

[80:22] ask them what they're thinking and they

[80:23] say nothing

[80:25] they actually mean it their body is on

[80:28] autopilot it's performing life functions

[80:32] but nothing is happening between the

[80:34] ears no thoughts are occurring nothing

[80:37] is happening every woman in the room

[80:40] wishes they could have that

[80:42] capability but God said no instead God

[80:48] multiple opportunities to do multiple

[80:52] things at one time

[80:57] and you say that's not fair I'm not God

[81:04] him it's kind of like the guy who talks

[81:12] dress shop that she went and shopped and

[81:15] there she was thinking about getting

[81:20] want that dress I want to get this other

[81:21] dress so I went over to the makeup store

[81:23] you know the makeup store that's right

[81:24] next to the place where you get your

[81:25] truck fixed and your truck detailed I

[81:27] went to that makeup store and while I

[81:28] was there I was thinking about the kids

[81:30] and I thought about you know we need to

[81:31] pray more for the kids because there's a

[81:32] lot of things going on in this world we

[81:34] need to pray more for the kids and uh

[81:36] she thought we we need to do this more

[81:38] often and then she thought about the

[81:39] groceries she said you know I knew that

[81:40] one grocery store was having a sale on

[81:41] chicken and so I wanted to go over to

[81:43] that grocery store but I thought man

[81:44] that traffic's going to be backed up so

[81:46] I didn't get to go over there because

[81:47] traffic was backed up so went over here

[81:48] to the other store but did you know that

[81:50] I had to pay 22 cents more a pound than

[81:52] if IID have gone over there but I

[81:54] figured about if I spent the money in

[81:55] gas then it wouldn't be worth the 22

[81:57] cents so I went over here and I got the

[81:59] chicken there and I came back home and

[82:00] I'm making the chicken tonight and we're

[82:01] having chicken and broccoli and we're

[82:02] having this and that for dinner and

[82:04] she's telling them all of this stuff and

[82:05] she goes through this whole thing and I

[82:07] think we really need to pray for the

[82:08] kids more and by the way um we need to

[82:09] get school supplies and school starting

[82:11] here soon and Johnny wants this and

[82:13] Susie wants this and she go through the

[82:15] whole list and at the end of the

[82:16] conversation she goes what do you

[82:21] think and he says what' you say about my

[82:24] truck
