[0:52] For months, the US auto industry has

[0:56] bleeding cash. Today, a new Bloomberg
[0:59] survey spelled out in jaw-dropping
[1:01] detail just how bad 2008 was for the big
[1:04] three. Chrysler sales down 48% from
[1:07] 2007, GM down 41% and Ford 33%. To dig
[1:13] themselves out, the car companies are
[1:15] now offering major incentives in what's
[1:17] become the ultimate buyers market.
[1:19] Here's Mark Stman. It's $8,000 in

[1:25] dealer, car salesmen work the phones
[1:27] like frantic suitors, courting customers
[1:29] with unprecedented deals.
[1:31] >> This is the perfect time to close out
[1:33] sale. Yes, sir.
[1:34] >> Trey Oglesby is drawn to this week's
[1:36] bundle of incentives on a 2008 Tahoe.

[1:41] Right.
[1:41] >> It sticker price $51,000.
[1:44] The deal $14,000 off.
[1:47] >> You really do feel in the driver's seat.
