[0:03] This is the [music] CBS Evening News.
[0:05] Dan Rather reporting. Good evening.
[0:07] Israeli soldiers fought back against
[0:09] more rocks and bottles in the occupied
[0:11] Arab territories today while Israeli
[0:13] politicians were defending themselves
[0:15] against a challenge from the United
[0:17] Nations and the United States. Last

[1:18] advice? Today, the Israelis were
[1:21] throwing back.
[1:22] >> We are not a banana republic.
[1:24] We are free to do what we think we need
[1:27] to do to secure ourselves.
[1:29] >> On the mound for the Palestinians today,
[1:31] more small kids with long arms. While
[1:34] Israeli officials were try
