[0:05] excited to see you this morning and

[0:07] looking forward to a great day hear that

[0:10] the Lord hath made we got our coffee

[0:12] this morning and enjoying a good morning

[0:15] early this morning we wanted to share

[0:17] with you some truths from the Word of

[0:19] God today and hopefully you've been

[0:22] surviving this Quarantine time and I

[0:26] know some of you are experiencing new

[0:28] exciting things like homeschooling your

[0:31] children and it's causing you to lose

[0:33] your hair so you like me I've lost to

[0:35] here because of homeschooling no but

[0:38] it's a it's an exciting time in our

[0:40] world so read an article yesterday about

[0:42] thousands and thousands of churches live

[0:45] streaming as enjoyment on Sunday

[0:48] afternoon to watch the Facebook feed

[0:51] just fill up with church livestream

[0:54] after church livestream after church

[0:55] livestream so very excited about the

[0:58] gospel going out but let me encourage

[0:59] you to keep sharing the gospel with

[1:01] those around you I know those in your

[1:04] home but you know the Lord still the

[1:06] same and so but today's video is

[1:09] hopefully be an encouragement to you you

[1:12] know many times we get a troubled heart

[1:14] the heart being the seat of our emotions

[1:17] it troubles us it overwhelms us in life

[1:20] and the Bible has some things to say

[1:22] about that in fact in John chapter 14

[1:24] verse number one the Lord is talking to

[1:27] his disciples and it's that time he's

[1:30] getting ready to be crucified and it's

[1:33] one of the last times I'll have

[1:35] opportunity to speak with them before

[1:37] his crucifixion and the world's getting

[1:39] ready to be turned upside down kind of

[1:41] like your world is being turned upside

[1:43] down right now and the Bible says in

[1:45] John 14 verse number 1 let not your

[1:47] heart be troubled let not your heart be

[1:51] troubled in proverbs 4:23 it says keep

[1:54] thy heart with all diligence for out of

[1:57] it are the issues of life Lord said to

[2:01] his disciples let not your heart be

[2:04] troubled that gives us that indication

[2:06] that we can control how we feel now

[2:11] sometimes our feeling

[2:13] overtake us because there's no truth

[2:16] that conflicts with our feelings our

[2:18] feelings our can our how we feel about

[2:21] life how we respond to information that

[2:23] we've been given I've been teaching in

[2:26] our Sunday School class at church about

[2:28] how God's not given us the spirit of

[2:30] fear but what happens is fear comes from

[2:34] our emotional response to the

[2:35] information we receive the Bible says

[2:38] it's very important to keep your heart

[2:41] with all diligence in other words not to

[2:43] let your emotions control you not to let

[2:45] your emotions overwhelm you jesus said

[2:48] to his disciples let not your heart be

[2:51] troubled in other words guys in 24 hours

[2:53] your world is gonna be turned upside

[2:55] down some of you're gonna run away some

[2:59] of you are gonna deny me

[3:00] imagine being Peter at that table and

[3:03] understanding that the truth that's

[3:06] gonna happen in his life and how his

[3:07] world's gonna be turned upside down but

[3:09] I'm so thankful that even when Peter has

[3:12] his moments of denial the Lord still

[3:14] cared about him and you may be here

[3:16] watching today and having some doubts

[3:18] having some fears your emotions may be

[3:21] controlling you your anxiety

[3:23] overwhelming you but the Lord still

[3:24] cares about you he doesn't throw you to

[3:28] the side says oh look at you my child

[3:30] here you're not doing so well you're

[3:32] letting your emotions control you you're

[3:34] letting your fear control you know the

[3:36] Word of God is a comfort and a help in

[3:39] time of need he said let not your heart

[3:41] be troubled an area next phrases are you

[3:44] believe in God believe also in me and my

[3:47] father's house are many mansions if it

[3:50] were not so I would have told you I go

[3:52] to prepare a place for you and if I go

[3:56] and prepare a place for you I will come

[3:58] again and receive you unto myself that

[4:00] where I am there you may be also there's

[4:03] that hope that comes from heaven our

[4:07] lives are overwhelming at times but

[4:09] there's a hope in heaven and we can

[4:12] believe God believe his word remember

[4:15] the song that says I believe God I

[4:17] believe his word is true because I've

[4:20] seen what he can do you know in our

[4:24] lives we have to remember those

[4:26] things that God has done for us so

[4:28] thankful for the salvation that God

[4:30] wrought in my life as a six year old boy

[4:32] I'm so thankful for a Christian home

[4:35] that I had the opportunity to grow up in

[4:37] and for godly parents and so thankful

[4:40] for the things that God's brought in my

[4:42] life I'm thankful for my wife and

[4:44] thankful for her very much me sixteen

[4:46] years this year that we've been married

[4:48] and our son is getting older and the the

[4:51] opportunity now of having two teenagers

[4:54] in my house and very soon not very long

[4:56] I'll have three and you you think that

[4:59] one bald now just wait till I have three

[5:01] teenage boys you know but those things

[5:04] can be overwhelming to us what are we

[5:06] gonna do how we gonna handle this should

[5:09] we go out I'm so thankful we had the

[5:11] opportunity yesterday with some folks

[5:14] from our church to go help the mobile

[5:16] meals here in our Reno Oklahoma and

[5:18] deliver meals to the elderly and be a

[5:20] positive encouragement just walking up

[5:22] to the door and smiling on our faces

[5:24] said hey got a hot meal for you today

[5:26] and they're so happy to receive it and

[5:28] we get the opportunity tomorrow on

[5:30] Wednesday morning to go to the same

[5:32] thing as a church and you know I had the

[5:35] opportunity yesterday you know anything

[5:38] you need you let us know I passed her

[5:40] Bible Baptist Church and we were just

[5:42] down the street from his house and

[5:44] trying to be an encouragement to him he

[5:46] can't get out he can't do anything he's

[5:48] stuck in his house and just to have the

[5:52] opportunity to put a smile on his face

[5:53] and talk to him for just a few moments

[5:55] was an encouraging thing because if

[5:58] we're not careful this time of season in

[6:01] our life our emotions are hard our will

[6:06] overwhelm us and you may be getting the

[6:09] Quarantine blues as you've been in your

[6:12] house and you've got you cleaned the

[6:14] same thing a hundred times and you're

[6:17] running out of quote-unquote things to

[6:19] do but let me encourage you this morning

[6:22] that God loves you and he's got a plan

[6:25] for your life

[6:25] and God knew about the situation we

[6:28] would face so don't let your heart be

[6:31] troubled believe God and also remember

[6:34] there's a hope in heaven he said in my

[6:36] father's house our

[6:37] mansions and so there's a hope of heaven

[6:40] that one day we'll get to spend eternity

[6:42] with him in heaven now I don't want to

[6:44] go on today's load and hopefully you

[6:46] don't either but there is a hope there

[6:48] as a Christian but if you do not know

[6:50] the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior my

[6:53] friend you need him in your life today

[6:55] you're probably struggling with fear

[6:57] right now you're probably wondering

[6:59] where am I gonna buy my next pack of

[7:01] toilet paper I'm out of hand sanitizer I

[7:03] don't have any Lysol what am I gonna do

[7:06] well let me be some encouraging words

[7:10] for you today God knows and God will

[7:15] provide I found it interesting yesterday

[7:18] as we put out a word of encouragement I

[7:21] had the opportunity the pastor that I

[7:23] worked for at Northern Park Baptist

[7:24] Church pastor Allen Pierce he also put

[7:28] out a video yesterday a word of

[7:30] encouragement as well and the funny

[7:31] thing was he picked the same passage of

[7:34] Scripture didn't talk to one another

[7:35] would pick the same passage of scripture

[7:37] I was telling my wife about it and she

[7:39] says well after eight and a half years

[7:41] of working together your guyses brains

[7:43] are probably more similar than you think

[7:45] and so I was encouraged by his video and

[7:49] pray that it was an encouragement to him

[7:51] and his people but this morning I wanted

[7:54] to remind you that God said we can trust

[7:57] him in John 14:6 the Bible says Jesus

[8:00] said I am the way the truth and the life

[8:02] no man cometh unto the father but by me

[8:07] the truth of the word of God is that the

[8:09] only way we're going to get through this

[8:11] is through Jesus Christ and our Heavenly

[8:13] Father the only way we're going to be

[8:15] handling the emotions of our heart is to

[8:18] go to him in prayer and to seek his face

[8:20] in his word and I pray today this video

[8:23] will just be an encouragement to your

[8:25] heart that you can trust God you don't

[8:27] have to be overwhelmed you don't have to

[8:29] be taken down an adversity you don't

[8:32] have to let your emotions control you

[8:34] garden guard your emotions well how do I

[8:38] do that pastor Adam you simply put the

[8:41] Word of God around you as a fortress to

[8:44] guard your thoughts and guard your

[8:47] feelings the Bible is so very clear that

[8:50] we

[8:51] can do this you don't have to let your

[8:54] thoughts control you but you can let

[8:57] through the power of the Word of God

[8:58] your thoughts be controlled and be

[9:02] managed and so I encouraged it this

[9:04] morning let not your heart be troubled

[9:06] you believe in God believe also in me

[9:09] Jesus said and so today if there's

[9:12] anything we can pray for you about we

[9:15] encourage you to leave it in the

[9:16] comments on this video I want to share a

[9:18] prayer request with you one of our

[9:19] church members Ronnie Hall left a prayer

[9:21] request for Dorothy Hicks she's having

[9:23] some health issues at this time so we're

[9:25] gonna have a word of prayer with you

[9:27] this morning

[9:27] and then I encourage you today as you go

[9:30] out to trust God to believe him and let

[9:33] not your heart be troubled dear Lord we

[9:36] thank you for the opportunity to spend a

[9:38] few moments in your word this morning

[9:39] we're thankful for those around us that

[9:42] encourage us through God's Word and what

[9:45] we pray today that anyone we come in

[9:48] contact with that no social distancing

[9:50] is still a thing we're dealing with but

[9:52] we can put a smile on our face we can

[9:54] wave to someone we could be an

[9:56] encouragement through social media

[9:58] through the Word of God Lord I pray

[10:00] today for Dorothy Higgs says she was

[10:02] mentioned in our comments yesterday to

[10:04] pray for her and her health issues Lord

[10:06] you know the situation that's going on

[10:08] there what I pray that you'd intervene

[10:10] and help would be a blessing in her life

[10:13] Lord we're thankful for those that are

[10:16] around us the city counselors the mayor

[10:18] the governor who's making decisions for

[10:21] the well being the Lord I pray that

[10:22] you'd be with them help them to make

[10:24] godly decisions help them to make good

[10:26] decisions for our economy and for the

[10:28] people here lord I pray for those

[10:30] truckers that are driving and delivering

[10:32] goods all across the country that you

[10:34] keep them safe on the roads that you've

[10:36] helped them I know many of them some

[10:39] that I'm aware of working long hours and

[10:41] not having a whole lot of rest or time

[10:44] off Lord we pray to be with them give

[10:46] them comfort and grace or we're so

[10:48] thankful for how you work in our lives

[10:50] help us today to guard our thoughts help

[10:54] us today to keep our heart with all

[10:56] diligence help us today to let not our

[10:59] heart be troubled thank you for you and

[11:01] your word thank you for the time

[11:03] spend together in your name I pray amen

[11:07] again wonderful time with you this
