[0:00] It's just like having a new weird friend
[0:02] that is also really smart and
[0:04] resourceful that lives on your computer.
[0:07] I was still in Morocco and someone sent
[0:08] me a tweet of a bug and I literally just
[0:10] made a picture of the tweet, posted on
[0:12] WhatsApp. It read the tweet, it
[0:14] understood that there was a bug. It
[0:15] checked out the Git repository, it fixed
[0:16] it, it did a commit and then it replied
[0:18] to the person on Twitter that it's fixed
[0:20] now. This will blend away probably 80%
[0:23] of the apps that you have on your phone.
[0:24] Why should I use my fitness pal to track
[0:26] food when I have an infinitely
[0:28] resourceful assistant that already knows
[0:30] I'm making bad decisions and I'm
[0:32] Kentucky Fried Chicken? Those things are
[0:34] so resourceful, although in a scary way.
[0:36] It's like unshackled JGBT. A lot of
[0:38] people don't realize that if you give an
[0:40] AI access to your computer, they can
[0:42] basically do anything that you can do.
[0:47] >> All right, welcome everyone. My guest
[0:48] today is Peter, creator of Claude, an AI
[0:51] assistant that you can just chat with in
[0:52] your messaging apps to get stuff done.
[0:55] And today is Peter is going to show us
[0:56] how to use cloud. And also Peter has a
[0:58] lot of really great hot takes about AI
[1:00] coding that I'm really excited to dig
[1:02] into. So welcome the other Peter.
[1:04] >> Peter, thanks for having me.
[1:06] >> Great to see you. So why don't we start
[1:07] by talking about cla. So what exactly
[1:10] does cloud do at a high level and uh why
[1:12] why is it a lobster?
[1:14] [laughter]
[1:15] >> Yeah. So, so maybe I have a little bit
[1:18] of a backstory like when I when I came
