[0:00] Welcome back to the takeout political

[0:02] panel time. Let me introduce them. Mike

[0:04] Han, Republican strategist and former

[0:06] deputy digital director for the National

[0:08] Republican Senatorial Committee. John

[0:09] McCarthy, friend of the program,

[0:11] Democratic strategist and former senior

[0:12] adviser to President Biden. Okay, credit

[0:15] where credit is due. Politico, the

[0:16] conversation, that's Dasha Burns's

[0:18] podcast. Talked to Angie Nixon, the

[0:20] Democratic nominee for Senate in

[0:22] Florida. She's currently running based

[0:24] on the polling average about seven

[0:25] points behind the Republican incumbent

[0:27] Ashley Moody. and she said one of the

[0:29] problems in her race is underinvestment

[0:31] by institutional Democratic donors. And

[0:33] she said there might be an explanation

[0:35] for it. Let's play it.

[0:36] >> People are saying, "Oh, I don't think

[0:39] she can win in the South because people

[0:41] are so racist." I don't think it's

[0:43] something nefarious or that people are

[0:46] trying to like that uh donors,

[0:49] Democratic donors are like racist

[0:51] towards me. I would say it's that they

[0:54] think that the state is racist and

[0:55] they're just hesitant to like donate

[0:58] because of it.
