[0:09] we welcome you back to this special
[0:11] continuing coverage on Hurricane Katrina
[0:14] and its aftermath it is 4:00 in the East
[0:16] 3:00 in New Orleans where the Army Corps
[0:18] of engineer are meeting right now to try
[0:21] and make some very important decisions
[0:23] let's try and pass along to you some of
[0:24] this information that we've been
[0:25] Gathering officials are telling us that
[0:27] a levy that holds back part of Lake pon
[0:30] train has been breached they say it's a
[0:32] two block span along the 17th Street and
[0:35] Canal streets area uh this is a
[0:37] potentially devastating problem because

[0:40] below sea level now authorities in New
[0:43] Orleans have been talking about possibly
[0:45] evacuating two hospitals in the area one

[1:05] moments ago with some folks who were
[1:07] talking to us about that very
[1:10] thing we don't have any confirmed
[1:12] reports of casualties at this time our
[1:15] biggest concern is rising water um our
[1:18] hospital is in downtown New Orleans and
[1:20] we did not get any accumulated water
[1:23] from the storm when the storm actually
[1:25] occurred but within the past 2 hours the
[1:27] water has been rising at the rate of an
[1:29] in every 5 minutes we now are completely
[1:32] surrounded by 6 ft of water and um we're
[1:36] getting ready to ge
