[0:03] the time to stop by today have you ever

[0:05] thought about the great white throne

[0:06] judgment and what's going to happen at

[0:08] that time well today we're going to talk

[0:10] about that it's week number 55 and we're

[0:13] in revelation chapter number 20 and

[0:16] verse number 11. the bible says and i

[0:18] saw a great white throne and him that

[0:21] sat on it from whose face the earth and

[0:23] heaven fled away and there was found no

[0:26] place for them and i saw the dead small

[0:28] and great stand before god and the books

[0:31] were open and another book was open

[0:33] which is the book of life and the dead

[0:36] were judged out of those things which

[0:37] were written in the books according to

[0:40] their works and the sea gave up the dead

[0:42] which were in it and death and hell

[0:44] delivered up the dead which were in them

[0:47] and they were judged every man according

[0:49] to their works

[0:50] and death and hell were cast into the

[0:52] lake of fire this is the second death

[0:55] and whosoever was not found written in

[0:56] the book of life was cast into the lake

[0:59] of fire

[1:00] the beginning of verse number 11 talks

[1:01] about the great white throne now those

[1:04] words are important great talking about

[1:07] the magnimity of it

[1:08] white talking about the purity of it and

[1:11] the throne talking of the power of it

[1:14] and he who sits on the throne well if

[1:15] he's able to be recognized it must be

[1:18] jesus christ sitting on the throne so

[1:20] he's the one who's on the throne and the

[1:22] bible says from whose face the earth in

[1:25] heaven fled away so the judgment and the

[1:28] power and the reverence of he who sits

[1:31] on this throne uh is so great that the

[1:34] earth in heaven flee away from it

[1:36] there's no place of hiding from the

[1:39] judgment of the one upon this throne

[1:43] now the throne itself is a magnificent

[1:46] throne the word great magnemous has a

[1:50] reference to the power and authority god

[1:52] is always high and lifted up as it says

[1:55] in isaiah chapter number six

[1:57] but we'll notice also in our text that

[2:00] this place is the judgment for all those

[2:03] that are unsaved for those that have

[2:06] rejected jesus christ offer of salvation

[2:09] and so this place is prepared for that

[2:12] judgment now there are differing views

[2:14] on where the great white throne is

[2:17] located is it in heaven is it an outer

[2:19] space somewhere is it a space where is

[2:22] it at

[2:23] i believe we could say it this way god's

[2:25] prepared a specific place for this

[2:28] and this place has the judgment hall of

[2:31] god and so in verse 12 it says i saw the

[2:34] dead small and great stand before god

[2:38] and the books were open and another book

[2:40] which was was open which is the book of

[2:42] life and the dead were judged out of

[2:44] those things which were written in the

[2:46] books according to their works

[2:49] now here in chapter 20 verse 12 we find

[2:52] that the dead small and great now the

[2:54] dead are those that are without christ

[2:56] so we've come through the millennial

[2:58] kingdom

[2:59] at the end of the millennial kingdom

[3:00] there is the chance for satan to be

[3:02] loosed for a season his final army comes

[3:05] up after that is the judgment hebrews

[3:08] describes it this way it's important

[3:09] under man once to die and after that the

[3:11] judgment and so we've had two judgments

[3:14] here in the book of revelation we've had

[3:15] the bema judgment really we've had

[3:17] multiple judgments but the two we're

[3:19] highlighting is the bema judgment the

[3:21] judgment of the saved and now the great

[3:24] white throne judgment the judgment of

[3:26] the lost so all the unsaved throughout

[3:30] all of the time of earth have been

[3:33] resurrected to stand at the great white

[3:36] throne judgment this is the resurrection

[3:39] of the unsaved

[3:41] and so they're standing before god

[3:43] small and great

[3:45] detailing that there's no respecter of

[3:48] persons people that were kings and

[3:50] authorities and emperors and politicians

[3:54] all the way down to uh the simple person

[3:57] who rejected jesus christ and had no

[4:00] seed of authority or power all of them

[4:03] are standing here that have rejected

[4:05] jesus christ the books are open there's

[4:08] multiple books mentioned here and then

[4:11] there's the book of life and the book of

[4:13] life has those whose names are not found

[4:16] in the book of life those who have

[4:18] accepted jesus christ's offer of

[4:20] salvation they are not there in the book

[4:23] of life and so they have rejected jesus

[4:26] so everyone in this line

[4:29] is not found written in the book of life

[4:32] however

[4:34] they're written in the other books mans

[4:36] are judged according to their works just

[4:39] as christians get rewarded for heaven

[4:42] and heaven is sweeter and more blessing

[4:45] filled for christians who have served

[4:48] the lord more than those who have not

[4:50] served the lord hell has a degree of

[4:53] punishment that's worse for some

[4:56] than it is for others and so they're

[4:59] judged according to the work so they the

[5:01] book of life is open if their name is

[5:04] not found written there it will be

[5:06] depart from me i never knew you by the

[5:08] way everyone in line on this day will

[5:11] hear that decree

[5:13] secondly they'll be judged according to

[5:15] their work so the books are open and the

[5:17] things they have done against god and

[5:20] caused harm to the things of god they'll

[5:23] be judged accordingly to those things

[5:27] and so hell will be worse for some than

[5:30] it is for others that's a terrible awful

[5:32] place for everybody who's there but

[5:35] those whose names have been written in

[5:37] the books of works that have done awful

[5:40] and terrible things they will be judged

[5:42] accordingly it also continues on in

[5:45] verse 13 and the sea gave up the dead

[5:48] which were in it and death and hell

[5:50] delivered up the dead which were in them

[5:52] and they were judged every man according

[5:54] to their works

[5:56] so those that were buried at sea those

[5:59] whose bodies have been

[6:02] disintegrated or cremated

[6:05] god who made man out of the dust of the

[6:07] ground can put all those pieces back

[6:08] together and he will on this day of

[6:11] judgment all those that are unsaved

[6:13] you'll notice it says

[6:15] death and hell gave up the dead which

[6:16] are in them so when a person dies right

[6:19] now

[6:20] without jesus christ they are put in

[6:22] hell we also call it hades they're put

[6:25] in hell it's the holding cell until the

[6:28] day of judgment then from there they'll

[6:30] be cast into the lake of fire the

[6:32] holding cell of hell is an awful

[6:34] terrible place where the fire is not

[6:37] quenched and the worm dieth not and

[6:39] there's a weeping and wailing and

[6:40] gnashing of teeth we can look at luke 16

[6:43] and the account of the rich man and his

[6:46] memories that he had so there are those

[6:48] that have been in hell

[6:49] that have rejected jesus christ have

[6:52] been in hell for many many years and on

[6:55] this day after the millennial kingdom

[6:57] they'll stand before god so they'll come

[6:59] out of hell and be here at the judgment

[7:02] of god you'll notice they're judged

[7:04] according to their works death and hell

[7:06] then were cast into the lake of fire

[7:09] this is the second death so the

[7:11] temporary death of hell and death are

[7:14] cast into the lake of fire and whosoever

[7:18] was not found written in the book of

[7:20] life was cast into the lake of fire so

[7:23] as the book of life is the only option

[7:26] so we can put it this way when jesus

[7:28] christ died for the world

[7:31] he died for every man woman boy and girl

[7:34] every person's name when they're born is

[7:37] written in the book of life now there's

[7:40] a hope for them to be saved god desires

[7:42] for all men to be saved and to come into

[7:44] the knowledge of the truth but

[7:46] unfortunately there are those who reject

[7:48] jesus christ and their names are blotted

[7:50] out

[7:51] of the book of life they are without

[7:53] excuse and so on this day their names

[7:56] are not written therein

[7:58] they were good we could say it this way

[8:00] there's a roll call and name after name

[8:03] and then when it gets to where their

[8:04] name should be

[8:06] they're not there they'll be cast in the

[8:08] lake of fire forever and ever where the

[8:11] beast and the false prophet are and

[8:12] satan himself they'll be in that fire

[8:15] forever

[8:17] now as we look at this awful scene

[8:19] everyone here that's at this scene on

[8:22] this day

[8:23] is judged and cast into hell forever and

[8:26] depending upon their works the degrees

[8:29] of punishment are worse in hell

[8:32] so i want to ask you a question today

[8:34] those watching this video

[8:37] years ago in 90 a.d around that time

[8:40] when john was inspired by the lord to

[8:42] write this book

[8:44] i wondered this question

[8:47] when he says they saw the dead small and

[8:49] great stand before god did john see you

[8:52] on that day

[8:53] my friend if you do not know jesus

[8:55] christ as your savior this is where

[8:57] you're found in the bible

[8:59] your name is here

[9:01] you are recorded as being one that john

[9:04] saw on that day

[9:06] stand before god and be cast into the

[9:08] lake of fire

[9:09] now i have good news for you in john

[9:12] chapter 20 verse number 12 when he saw

[9:15] the dead

[9:16] i'm not there that's not about me

[9:19] i'm not claiming that verse that verse

[9:22] is not for me i will not be in the line

[9:25] on judgment day but unfortunately as a

[9:28] christian

[9:29] i will be there on that day to witness

[9:33] the judgment of god

[9:35] it saddens my heart and it challenges me

[9:38] as a christian to make sure none of my

[9:40] friends none of my family or even any of

[9:43] the people that

[9:45] i haven't met desi i desire for no one

[9:48] to be in that line for everyone that i

[9:51] know and everyone that i come in contact

[9:53] with to be with me uh in the maybe in

[9:56] the seating area we could describe it as

[9:59] forever with the lord and enjoying the

[10:01] blessings of heaven it's going to be a

[10:04] sad day that day but i wonder did john

[10:06] see you in line were you number seven

[10:09] were you number 10 were you number 1356

[10:12] in line

[10:14] my friend if you do not know jesus

[10:15] christ as your savior you were in line

[10:18] that day and john saw you

[10:20] the only way to get out of the line

[10:23] and not be there on that day

[10:25] and for these verses not to be applied

[10:28] to your life

[10:29] is if you accept jesus christ as your

[10:31] savior

[10:32] romans chapter 10 verses 9 and 10 tell

[10:35] us for with the heart man believeth unto

[10:37] righteousness and with the mouth

[10:38] confession is made unto salvation

[10:41] there's an opportunity for you and i to

[10:44] believe that jesus christ was buried and

[10:46] that he rose again the third day

[10:48] according to the scriptures that if we

[10:49] believe that he can save us from our

[10:51] sins we can be saved i want to encourage

[10:54] you today

[10:56] make this section of scripture not about

[10:59] the end of your story

[11:01] i hope and pray today my friend you know

[11:04] jesus christ as your savior but if you

[11:06] do not know jesus christ as your savior

[11:08] romans 20 excuse me revelation 20 verses

[11:11] 11 through 15

[11:13] that's your

[11:14] part of the bible

[11:16] that's what's for you

[11:18] you will hear him say depart from me

[11:21] i never knew you and you'll be cast for

[11:23] all eternity in the lake of fire my

[11:25] friend if you're watching today please

[11:28] please don't let that be your story

[11:30] i'd much rather hear

[11:33] of a

[11:34] someone accepting jesus christ as their

[11:36] savior to make sure they're not in line

[11:38] on that day

[11:40] the judgment is

[11:42] final

[11:43] there's no getting out of the judgment

[11:46] on this day there's no pleading the

[11:48] fifth there's no attorney that can get

[11:51] you off the hook you my friend will be

[11:53] guilty

[11:55] of sin

[11:56] you'll be guilty of rejecting jesus

[11:58] christ and you'll be cast for all

[12:00] eternity in the lake of fire i hope and

[12:04] pray that will not be you christian

[12:06] watching today be challenged to share

[12:09] the gospel more

[12:10] that none of your family members or

[12:12] friends are in line on this day until
