[0:07] >> Welcome back to Eyewitness News at 11:30

[0:09] a.m. I'm Leslie Sykes and we are

[0:11] following some breaking news right now

[0:13] in San Bernardino.

[0:15] >> Yes, I'm Philip Palmer and we are

[0:17] getting reports of an active shooter and

[0:20] uh some of this information is coming

[0:22] via social media and Twitter. According

[0:24] to the San Bernardino Fire Department,

[0:26] they have sent units uh to respond to

[0:29] reports of 20 shooting victims. This

[0:33] near the 1300 block of South Waterman.

[0:36] Uh also, the sheriff's department has uh

[0:39] tweeted out they they sent out a note

[0:41] that said a hard closure at Orange Show

[0:43] Road and Waterman uh and Park Center

[0:46] Circle in San Bernardino. They're

[0:48] telling people to avoid that area due to

[0:51] police activity. Again, that is a hard

[0:53] closure at Orange Show Road and Waterman

[0:56] and Park Center Circle in San

[0:57] Bernardino.

[0:58] >> And we have Air7 on the way there. We

[1:00] are told that SWAT units are in route to

[1:03] that location. Um the facility is called

[1:06] the Inland Regional Center. That's what

[1:08] we know so far. Um we are waiting to get

[1:10] a visual picture of exactly what's going

[1:13] on, but as far as we know at this point,

[1:15] up to 20 people shot, an active shooter

[1:18] situation. So, uh, it's not clear, um,

[1:21] the situation surrounding the suspect,

[1:23] but, um, we are efforting more

[1:25] information on that.

[1:28] that the social media provides us is so

[1:31] many of these things are coming from the

[1:33] the departments themselves. For

[1:34] instance, the San Bernardino Fire
