[0:37] Good evening, Dan Rather reporting. From

[0:39] now until the election, it's going to be

[0:41] one showdown after another between

[0:43] President Bush and Congress. As Bob

[0:45] Schiffer reports, the clashes have

[0:46] already started about business, jobs,

[0:49] the economy, and more. In one case, the

[0:52] attack is even on the record.

[0:56] The DJs were playing a new tape today.

[0:59] Bush the Rapper.

[1:06] >> Yep, that's him. Some dirty dog has put

[1:08] the president's voice to music.

[1:13] The economy is strengthening. The

[1:15] economy's on the right track. First

[1:17] reviews on talk radio decidedly mixed.

[1:20] >> Who is sponsoring this? The Democratic

[1:22] Party. On Capitol Hill though, it was

[1:25] not the president's old words, but a

[1:27] presidential declaration today that set

[1:29] off Democrats a vow to veto pending

[1:32] bills that contain pork barrel spending.

[1:35] >> And there no reason why Congress cannot

[1:37] uh produce these spending bills

[1:40] individually

[1:41] without resorting to a lot of pork laden

[1:45] u u additions to the bills.

[1:48] >> No pork, Democrats cried. What was the

[1:51] president handing out last week? chopped

[1:53] liver.

[1:54] >> Well, the president was whizzing around

[1:55] the country on Air Force One, uh,

[1:57] prom
