[0:56] uh going through the book of revelation

[0:58] uh we're in revelation chapter six

[1:00] today uh last week we dealt with the

[1:02] four

[1:03] horsemen of the apocalypse and so now

[1:06] we're in revelation chapter six

[1:09] verse number nine and we're going to

[1:10] read down through verse number 11.

[1:12] so we're going to read through them one

[1:14] time and then we're going to have a word

[1:15] of prayer and dive

[1:16] in to what's happening here in

[1:18] revelation 6.

[1:20] the bible says and when he had opened

[1:24] the fifth seal i saw under the altar the

[1:27] souls of them

[1:28] that were slain for the word of god and

[1:31] for the testimony which they held

[1:33] and they cried with a loud voice saying

[1:36] how long o lord

[1:37] holy and true thus thou not judge and

[1:41] avenge our blood on them

[1:43] that dwell on the earth and the white

[1:46] robes were given unto every one of them

[1:48] and it was said unto them that they

[1:50] should rest yet for little season

[1:52] until their fellow servants also and

[1:54] their brethren

[1:56] that they should be killed as they were

[1:59] should be fulfilled let's pray this

[2:01] morning to heavenly father lord

[2:03] we're so thankful for those that have

[2:05] tuned in today to watch

[2:07] and lord we pray today that you'd help

[2:09] us as we

[2:10] instruct and teach through this section

[2:13] of scripture lord that you'd help us to

[2:15] be clear

[2:16] and decisive in what we're doing in your

[2:19] name i pray

[2:21] amen once again now our scene changes

[2:25] we were on earth with the four horsemen

[2:28] now john is looking

[2:30] in heaven and he sees the altar here

[2:33] and he sees the altar uh of

[2:37] that's there in heaven now this throne

[2:40] room of god

[2:40] has some similarities to the tabernacle

[2:43] and the temple worship

[2:45] uh but here is the altar where the blood

[2:48] of jesus christ was given for the sins

[2:51] of mankind

[2:52] so there's an altar here there's some

[2:55] souls that were slain

[2:57] for the word of god and for the

[2:58] testimony which we held so john

[3:01] who does he see well he sees people who

[3:05] have died

[3:07] for the word of god and for the

[3:08] testimony which they held now

[3:10] who are these people if the rapture has

[3:13] happened which it has

[3:15] in this chapter and the christians are

[3:18] gone

[3:19] who could be left well these are people

[3:22] here we call them

[3:23] tribulation saints those that have

[3:26] accepted

[3:27] jesus christ and have heard the 144 000

[3:31] witnesses

[3:32] and have believed on jesus christ and

[3:36] followed after him

[3:38] now you'll notice that it says they're

[3:40] slain for the word of god

[3:42] and for the testimony which they held

[3:45] now

[3:45] here are these people now i got to do

[3:48] something

[3:49] i've got to point out to you something

[3:51] that's very important

[3:53] there is a teaching that has corrupted

[3:56] many views

[3:57] about the tribulation period the book in

[4:00] the movie series left behind

[4:02] depicts people who have heard the gospel

[4:06] rejected it and then during the

[4:09] tribulation period

[4:10] except jesus christ as their savior it

[4:13] also

[4:14] portrays christians who

[4:18] people say they claim to be christians i

[4:20] should say

[4:21] and then when the tribulation happened

[4:23] they realized they truly weren't saved

[4:25] and then they got saved because they

[4:27] realized they weren't saved because the

[4:29] rapture happened

[4:31] that's not what the bible teaches in

[4:33] fact we're going to take a look in the

[4:35] 2nd thessalonians

[4:36] chapter 2 and discover

[4:40] that the bible teaches that those that

[4:43] have rejected christ

[4:45] will not have opportunity to be saved

[4:48] during the tribulation

[4:50] period but let's go to second

[4:51] thessalonians chapter 2.

[4:54] go ahead take your bible go there

[4:57] follow along with us 2nd thessalonians

[4:59] chapter 2 verse number 1.

[5:01] the apostle paul says now we beseech you

[5:03] brethren so he's talking to christians

[5:05] by the coming of our lord jesus christ

[5:07] and by our gathering together unto him

[5:10] that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be

[5:12] troubled

[5:13] neither by spirit nor by word nor by

[5:16] letter as from us

[5:17] as that the day of christ is at hand

[5:21] let no man deceive you by any means for

[5:23] that day

[5:24] shall not come except there come a

[5:27] falling away first

[5:28] and that man of sin be revealed the son

[5:31] of perdition now the context shows

[5:33] us the day of christ that is a

[5:36] reference to the rapture of the church

[5:40] in scripture that where it says here the

[5:42] days shall not come

[5:44] referencing what we call the day of

[5:46] christ now there's another day

[5:48] that's also referenced many times in

[5:49] scripture called the day

[5:51] of the lord the day of christ is

[5:54] encompassed

[5:55] inside the day of the lord the day of

[5:57] the lord

[5:58] is jump started off by the day of christ

[6:01] the rapture of the church

[6:03] and then the dead lord encompasses the

[6:04] tribulation period all the way through

[6:07] till the new heaven and the new earth

[6:09] god's dealing with mankind

[6:11] during that time so you'll notice in our

[6:14] text it tells us

[6:16] verse 3 that no man deceive you by any

[6:18] means for that day

[6:19] shall not come except

[6:22] so it hasn't come at the writing of

[6:25] second thessalonians now there was a

[6:27] there were those that had died because

[6:29] of persecution of the church and those

[6:31] that were

[6:32] concerned about those that had died if

[6:35] you go back to first thessalonians it

[6:37] talks about the rapture

[6:38] second thessalonians deals with the

[6:40] revelation a lot of what happens

[6:42] after the rapture so here we find the

[6:45] day of christ the rapture of the church

[6:47] had not happened yet and as of this

[6:49] filming

[6:50] the rapture hasn't happened yet but it

[6:53] could happen at any moment

[6:55] now he tells us here there's some things

[6:57] that are going to happen there's going

[6:58] to come a falling away

[7:00] and as the following way happens that

[7:02] man of sin

[7:04] will be revealed the son of perdition

[7:07] now the man of sin being revealed that

[7:09] son of tradition he is the

[7:11] anti-christ so the rapture

[7:14] will happen and then the antichrist will

[7:17] be revealed

[7:19] now it's interesting to notice here in

[7:22] verse number four

[7:23] this is the description of him who

[7:25] opposeth and exalteth himself above all

[7:27] that is called god

[7:29] or that is worshiped so he as god

[7:32] sitteth in the temple of god showing

[7:35] himself that he is

[7:37] god now that has not happened

[7:40] the temple has not been restored now

[7:43] that could happen in the very beginning

[7:44] of the tribulation period

[7:46] the temple restoration it could happen

[7:48] before the

[7:50] rapture of the church the temple could

[7:52] be restored

[7:53] we don't know when the temple is going

[7:55] to be restored but we do know at the

[7:57] halfway point of the tribulation period

[7:59] the antichrist is going to go to

[8:01] jerusalem he's going to

[8:03] offer a sacrifice in the temple of god

[8:06] and declare himself

[8:07] to be god we know it's not true but

[8:10] that's what he's going to do

[8:12] and so we know that he's going to

[8:14] declare himself now

[8:15] here's the thing you have to notice it

[8:17] says remember ye

[8:18] nod verse 5 that i when i was yet with

[8:22] you i told you these things the apostle

[8:24] paul had already told them some things

[8:26] verse 6 and now ye know what withholdeth

[8:29] that he

[8:30] might be revealed in his time for the

[8:32] mystery of iniquity doth already work

[8:36] it's interesting to remember and to

[8:38] understand that satan has

[8:40] been preparing at different times

[8:42] throughout history

[8:43] to take over the world he's always

[8:47] the day of iniquity the worker of

[8:48] iniquity the mystery of it he's always

[8:51] been working satan's been

[8:52] getting people in place been ready to

[8:55] take over

[8:56] that's his ultimate goal to take over

[8:58] the world now

[8:59] it's not happening it hasn't happened

[9:02] yet

[9:03] because satan doesn't know when the

[9:04] rapture of the church will be he doesn't

[9:06] know that day

[9:07] he doesn't know the day of christ but

[9:09] he's preparing for it

[9:12] so the mystery is at work but he's being

[9:14] restrained

[9:16] verse number seven continues on only he

[9:18] who now letteth

[9:19] will let until he be taken

[9:22] out of the way verse number eight and

[9:25] then

[9:25] shall that wicked be revealed now i want

[9:28] you to look in your bible and look at

[9:29] the word wicked

[9:31] it is capitalized it's not talking about

[9:34] wicked people

[9:35] it's a title given to a person the

[9:38] wicked one

[9:39] the antichrist will be revealed so

[9:42] satan's been preparing to take over the

[9:44] world he's

[9:45] verse 7 he here it's referencing

[9:49] the holy spirit he that letteth will now

[9:51] let

[9:53] until he be taken away is referencing

[9:55] the holy spirit

[9:57] the holy spirit indwells a believer at

[9:59] salvation

[10:01] the holy spirit here when the church is

[10:03] raptured out

[10:04] the holy spirit will allow satan to

[10:06] reveal his wicked one

[10:08] who will control and torture this world

[10:11] but will be defeated by jesus christ at

[10:14] his second coming look at verse number

[10:16] eight again that wicked be revealed whom

[10:18] the lord shall consume

[10:20] with the spirit of his mouth and shall

[10:22] destroy with the brightness of his

[10:24] coming

[10:25] even him whose coming is after the

[10:27] working of satan with all power

[10:30] and signs and lying wonders

[10:33] with all deceivableness of

[10:35] unrighteousness in them that perish

[10:37] watch this because they receive not the

[10:39] love of the truth

[10:41] that they might be saved verse 11 and

[10:44] for this cause

[10:45] god shall send them strong delusion that

[10:48] they shall believe

[10:49] a lie i want to continue on in verse

[10:51] number 12 as well

[10:52] the bible says this that they all that

[10:55] they all

[10:55] might be damned who believe not the

[10:58] truth

[10:59] but had pleasure in unrighteousness

[11:03] verse 11 when the holy spirit let satan

[11:05] do his task it's revealed that god will

[11:08] send strong delusion to them who have

[11:10] rejected him

[11:12] i know some of you are watching today

[11:13] and going how awful

[11:16] pastor why would a loving god

[11:19] sentence people to hell i want to remind

[11:23] you of something

[11:24] what did we say those that have rejected

[11:27] god gave them opportunity

[11:29] he may have gave them multiple

[11:31] opportunities but they said

[11:33] no to god those who rejected

[11:36] god those who said no he offered

[11:39] salvation to

[11:40] everyone we're not holding to the

[11:42] calvinist position that

[11:43] god has some determined to go to heaven

[11:45] and some determine to go to hell no my

[11:47] friend

[11:48] he loves all the world and he died for

[11:49] all the world and all people have the

[11:51] opportunity

[11:52] to be saved but there are some who

[11:54] reject jesus christ

[11:57] so here at their rejection if they've

[11:59] rejected jesus christ

[12:01] they will not get another chance after

[12:04] the rapture of the church

[12:06] now those who have never heard however

[12:08] will have opportunity to be saved by the

[12:11] witness of the

[12:11] 144 thousand and we'll talk more about

[12:14] them in another video

[12:16] and however many will also be slain at

[12:19] this time

[12:21] as well as after the half point of the

[12:24] tribulation in chapter 17.

[12:26] to those who accept christ by the

[12:28] witness of the 144 000 they're going to

[12:30] be put to death

[12:31] that's what we're talking about here in

[12:33] verse number six

[12:35] or excuse me chapter six verse number 9

[12:38] and so

[12:38] they're going to be put to death in

[12:40] chapter 7 and chapter 11 there are

[12:42] others that are martyr chapter 17

[12:44] and in fact in revelation 20 verse

[12:46] number 4 the bible says this i saw the

[12:48] thrones

[12:48] and they that sat on them and judgment

[12:50] was given unto them and i saw

[12:52] watch this the souls of them that were

[12:54] beheaded for the witness of jesus

[12:56] and for the word of god which had not

[12:58] worshipped the beast neither his image

[13:00] neither had received their his mark

[13:03] upon their foreheads or in their hands

[13:05] and they lived and reigned with christ

[13:07] a thousand years

[13:10] a thousand years so let's let's go back

[13:13] and look at verse number nine again of

[13:16] revelation six and when he had opened

[13:18] the fifth seal

[13:18] i saw under the altar the souls of them

[13:20] that were slain for the word of god

[13:22] and for the testimony which they held

[13:26] and so they're in heaven under the altar

[13:30] under the blood we'll talk more about

[13:32] that here in just a moment

[13:34] but they're under that picture of the

[13:35] altar being the mother it shows the

[13:36] important truth that all mankind is

[13:38] saved by the blood they're

[13:40] sealed under the blood now you're going

[13:42] to notice something that they are

[13:44] praying here they're crying out to god

[13:47] verse number 10 and they cried with a

[13:49] loud voice saying how long

[13:51] o lord holy and true thus thou not judge

[13:54] and avenge our blood on them that dwell

[13:56] on the earth

[13:58] now you may be saying why are they

[13:59] wanting judgment well the people have

[14:01] martyred them they've killed them

[14:02] they've slain them with the sword

[14:05] and so they're crying out we find

[14:06] instances in scripture in habakkuk

[14:09] and also in the psalms some precatory

[14:11] psalms that

[14:12] are praying for judgment to come to the

[14:15] enemies of god

[14:17] so they're praying for the judgment of

[14:19] god to judge them

[14:20] that have killed them but you notice

[14:22] what it says in verse 11 and white robes

[14:24] were given on every one of them will

[14:25] come back to that

[14:27] and it was said unto them that they

[14:28] should rest yet for a little season

[14:31] until their fellow servants also and

[14:33] their brethren

[14:34] that they should be killed as it were

[14:37] as they were should be fulfilled so

[14:41] the judgment notice they are given white

[14:44] robes

[14:45] so they have a body even though they

[14:47] have not been

[14:48] resurrected yet now the bible knows we

[14:51] know in first thessalonians he teaches

[14:53] in first corinthians 15 it also teaches

[14:55] that at the rapture of the church the

[14:57] dead in christ shall rise first and will

[14:59] we which are alive and remain shall be

[15:01] caught up together with them in the

[15:02] clouds to meet the lord in the air

[15:04] and so shall we ever be with the lord

[15:06] we're going to get resurrected

[15:08] new bodies heavenly bodies at that time

[15:11] and the bible talks about will be

[15:12] clothed in white raiment all of those

[15:15] the tribulation saints here they're

[15:17] giving white robes

[15:20] and not white raiment but white robes

[15:23] there's a distinction there but they

[15:25] have not had do not have their glorified

[15:28] resurrected bodies yet

[15:30] as jesus did when he resurrected from

[15:32] the dead

[15:33] and so their resurrection has not

[15:35] happened yet the bible teaches

[15:37] and the principles are given that at the

[15:40] second coming as we referenced in

[15:41] revelation chapter 20

[15:43] that the tribulation saints will be

[15:46] resurrected

[15:47] at the same time of the second coming of

[15:49] jesus christ

[15:50] the tribulation saints in the old

[15:52] testament says to be resurrected for the

[15:54] purpose of going into the millennial

[15:56] kingdom with their new heavenly bodies

[15:58] glorified bodies

[16:00] and those that are on the earth who

[16:01] choose to follow christ

[16:03] will also go into the millennial kingdom

[16:05] you'll have them

[16:06] as well so we'll have those that have

[16:08] been redeemed by the blood of the lamb

[16:10] those

[16:10] tribulation saints old testament states

[16:12] will be resurrected

[16:14] at the start of the millennial kingdom

[16:15] they'll receive their glorified bodies

[16:17] and then you'll have people living on

[16:19] earth in their earthly bodies as well

[16:21] but you'll notice here the picture

[16:23] saved by the blood every man all of

[16:26] mankind is saved by the blood of jesus

[16:28] christ

[16:29] so i know there's a lot that we've

[16:31] unpacked today and if i had the time i

[16:33] could probably speak for 40 plus minutes

[16:37] on

[16:37] just these three verses and all the

[16:39] truth that's in there

[16:40] but i want to summarize it into this way

[16:44] my friend do not wait

[16:48] for the rapture of the church

[16:52] to see if you're saved or not

[16:55] you should not wait to see because my

[16:57] friend if you've heard the gospel and

[16:59] you've rejected it the bible says

[17:01] you're without excuse you'll believe a

[17:04] lie

[17:05] and you'll miss your opportunity to be

[17:07] saved my friend don't

[17:10] hope well i don't know i'm 50 percent

[17:13] sure that i'm saved i'm 75

[17:15] sure the bible says you can know

[17:18] first john 5 13 or 3 5

[17:22] first john tells us these things have i

[17:24] written to you that ye may

[17:26] know that you have eternal life

[17:29] you may know this my friend if you don't

[17:31] know jesus christ as your savior if

[17:33] you're not 100

[17:34] sure of your salvation then

[17:38] i'd like to take the word of god and

[17:40] show you that

[18:16] world

[18:17] during the tribulation period it's going

[18:19] to happen the whole earth cries out

[18:21] the whole earth prays and it's going to
