[0:26] This is the CBS Evening News with Dan
[0:30] Rather reporting from CBS News
[0:32] headquarters in New York. Good evening.
[0:35] It has come to this. The largest state
[0:37] in the richest, most powerful nation on
[0:39] earth was forced to cut off power today

[1:39] supply can no longer meet demand. The
[1:42] managers of California's electrical grid
[1:44] say the blackouts became inevitable
[1:46] today when yet one m
