[0:08] >> Tonight is the beginning of the end of

[0:12] the Reagan administration.

[0:16] Walter Manddale winning big in the

[0:18] Democratic caucuses in Iowa last night.

[0:21] That was expected. Gary Hart and George

[0:24] McGovern came in second and third. The

[0:27] big loser was John Glenn who finished

[0:29] fifth in the field of eight candidates.

[0:32] In this half hour, we'll talk with John

[0:33] Glenn with George McGovern and Gary

[0:36] Hart. Good morning everybody. I'm David

[0:37] Hartman

[0:38] >> and I'm Joan London. It is Tuesday the

[0:40] 21st of February. And later in this

[0:42] hour, we are going to have part two of

[0:44] our Good Morning America health test

[0:45] with questions and answers about how

[0:47] what we eat affects our health.

[0:50] >> All coming. But right now, first at a

[0:51] minute after 7, let's go right to De Mo

[0:53] Iowa where Steve has the latest on the

[0:55] caucuses. Hi Steve. Good morning.

[0:57] >> Morning, David Joan. Good morning,

[0:59] everyone. The experts called this one

[1:01] right. All right. At least when it came

[1:02] to Walter Manddale. But after the votes

[1:05] of 88,000 Iowa Democrats were tallied

[1:07] last night, the results were a big

[1:09] disappointment and surprise for John

[1:10] Glenn. With nearly all the votes tallied

[1:13] now, Manddale captured 45% of the Iowa

[1:17] caucus support. Nearly a 3 to1 margin

[1:19] over runner-up Gary Hart. George

[1:21] McGovern a surprising third with 13%.

[1:24] Alan Cranston in fourth with nine. And

[1:27] John Glenn captured just a little more

[1:29] than 5% of the votes here in Iowa.

[1:33] With us this morning here in De Moine

[1:35] with me, Britt Hume, who's covering the

[1:37] Manddale campaign. Lynn Shers in Bosto
