[10:12] taking it apart and putting it back

[10:14] together and thank the Lord it went back

[10:16] together and it's working right as of

[10:18] right now so praise the Lord for that so

[10:20] I didn't get to go last night um but

[10:23] last night in the service how many

[10:25] remember brother Kanan Staley was our

[10:26] intern uh for a little bit over for year

[10:30] he got to present last night he's going

[10:32] to Portland Oregon as a church planter

[10:36] uh he's started in November doing some

[10:38] Bible studies he's got three individuals

[10:40] that he meets with regularly for that

[10:43] they're planning on moving it to or

[10:45] Portland in May uh they live in

[10:47] Vancouver Washington which is across the

[10:49] river from there and so he's only able

[10:52] to take one day off a week to go and

[10:54] have these Bible studies and do some

[10:56] Ministry Outreach U just because of

[11:00] finances so he presented last night an

[11:03] opportunity that if he gets some extra

[11:06] money he can take more time off to visit

[11:09] with people and share the gospel with

[11:11] them and if you knew brother Kanan while

[11:13] he was here that's what he loves to do

[11:16] he loves to take the gospel to people

[11:18] and show them how they can be saved well

[11:21] last night the people that were at the

[11:23] church planning conference ctiv vision

[11:26] for Portland Oregon when he went in he

[11:28] was getting $600 a month support to help

[11:33] him they just started um last night

[11:36] churches that were there committed to

[11:38] give

[11:39] $1,780 more each month for him so that

[11:45] brings him up to about $2,300 a month

[11:48] for monthly support so give him

[11:50] opportunity to take days off work go on

[11:53] Outreach but also to help with moving

[11:56] and all of that stuff there is a one

[11:59] time gift given by the different people

[12:01] there and um they raised last night to

[12:04] help the Staley go to Oregon $3

[12:12] bit excited right now at the opportunity

[12:15] to reach Portland Oregon with the gospel

[20:06] fast 40 days while he was there the holy

[20:15] into the Wilderness directed him to fast

[20:19] 40 days allowed him to be tempted for

[20:23] those 40 days so he's full of the Holy

[20:27] Ghost control and Leadership and

[20:30] strength and he's driven he's LED Into

[20:36] Wilderness turn over to Hebrews chapter

[23:10] tempted and Jesus got Victory amen he

[23:54] but guess what happened on day two he

[23:57] got Victory once again

[24:00] and on day three and day four and day 17

[24:05] and day 21 and day 28 and day

[24:10] 39 he's gotten Victory after Victory

[24:14] after Victory after Victory after

[24:17] Victory and one of the reasons why he's

[24:19] getting Victory is he's full of the Holy

[24:23] Ghost he's under leadership control and

[24:26] strength from the holy spirit of

[24:30] God so 40 days he's tempted the Lions on

[24:35] the Proud he's combing through the

[24:38] Wilderness looking for opportunity to

[24:42] strike and get Jesus to give into

[24:45] temptation but he's

[24:48] resisted day after day after day after

[24:54] day after day let's look back in verse

[24:57] two and in those days he did

[25:00] eat

[25:03] nothing and when those days were Ender

[25:06] ended he

[25:08] afterward

[25:12] hungered his 100% manide has gone 40

[25:16] days with no food if you have water you

[25:19] can sustain through days the typical

[25:23] they say the longest that it's really

[25:25] you can make it is about two months

[25:29] without any food as long as you're

[25:31] having water if you don't have water

[25:33] it's even less than

[25:35] that so Jesus has gone 40 days with

[25:39] nothing to

[25:41] eat I got teenagers they go 40 minutes

[25:44] without something to eat and they're

[25:47] hungry but Jesus has gone 40

[25:51] days he's

[25:54] hungry in the moment of his hunger

[25:58] with no

[26:00] food at a weak physical

[26:04] Point here he comes the lion the tempter

[26:14] says the devil said unto him if thou be

[26:18] the Son of God command this

[27:22] leadership of the Holy Spirit and

[27:24] following the control of the leadership

[27:26] of the Holy Spirit and now Satan comes

[27:28] up and says hey why don't you take

[27:29] matters into your own

[27:31] hands why don't you make that stone

[27:37] bread why don't you take care of that

[27:41] physical need that you have on your

[27:49] own he says it is written that man shall

[27:54] not live by bread

[27:56] alone but by every

[27:59] word of

[28:01] God so he's

[28:04] hungry and the holy spirit's led him

[28:09] fast he's told him the time day after

[28:12] day after day he's depending on the

[28:15] leadership of the Holy Spirit he's got

[28:17] the strength of the Holy Spirit Satan's

[28:23] after day to tempt

[28:24] him and now Satan's temption temptation

[28:28] is hey why don't you just take matters

[28:30] in your own hand and make that stone

[28:38] Temptation has a spiritual

[29:09] Bear it so every physical Temptation has

[29:13] a spiritual solution and that spiritual

[29:16] solution will help you conquer that

[29:19] physical

[29:23] Temptation so it tells them take it in

[29:25] your own

[30:54] encourage them and installed accountabil

[30:56] s they've had Victory after victory

[30:58] they're doing really good and then they

[30:59] have a day where oh I let my guard

[31:08] looking at anything but you let your

[31:10] guard down just because you got Victory

[41:40] Temptation how do we get victory over

[41:45] Temptations whether it's a lust

[41:48] Temptation whether it's a stealing

[41:51] Temptation whatever physical Temptation

[41:53] you're going to deal with how you going

[41:55] to get victory over it you got to

[41:57] remember it's a spiritual solution for a

[42:00] physical Temptation well how do I get

[42:02] Victory two things I got to be full of

[42:05] the Holy Ghost and I had to have a

[42:07] knowledge of the

[42:10] scripture I don't have knowledge of the

[42:12] scripture I'm limited in my

[42:16] Arsenal I'm limited in my

[42:21] Arsenal so full of the holy

[42:24] spirit it's power working in and a

[42:27] knowledge of the scripture as ammunition

[42:32] fight so when you get doubting

[42:34] Temptations of I don't know what God's

[42:36] doing I don't know why he's not working

[42:38] out like I want him to work out I don't

[42:44] remember God wants you to be full of the

[42:48] Holy Ghost so you can be led by the

[42:53] spirit and not by yourself

[42:57] when you and I face timing Temptations

[43:00] when you want something but it's not

[43:16] 21 and God says it's not time

[43:36] got to be full of the Holy Ghost and

[43:54] God and when you're tempted to twist the

[43:57] scriptures for your

[44:00] liking or when Satan uses others to

[44:08] God make sure you're full of the Holy

[44:11] Ghost you have a knowledge of

[50:54] twisting Temptation he defeated them all

[50:57] by being full of the Holy Ghost and

[50:59] having knowledge of the scripture as

[51:04] ammunition you hold in your hand the

[51:07] preserved word of

[51:10] God there hath no temptation taken you

[51:14] but such as is common to man but God is

[51:18] faithful who will not suffer you to be

[51:20] tempted above that you're able but will

[51:23] with that Temptation also make a way of

[51:25] Escape

[51:27] that ye may be able to

[51:30] Bear we have Ephesians says in 6:17 the

[51:33] sword of the spirit which is the word of

[51:36] God and Prayer by the way what

[51:39] accompanies fasting

[51:42] prayer communion with

[51:45] God now don't get too comfortable if you

[51:49] defeated Temptation

[51:51] today because the tempter's coming

[51:55] back so stay in the right relationship

[51:59] now remember we said it earlier you got

[52:01] all the quantity of the Holy Spirit

[52:04] you're ever going to get the moment you

[52:05] got

[52:07] saved but how you let him lead you and

[52:10] guide

[52:11] you is whether you're operating Under

[52:15] full control of the Holy Spirit or

[52:18] you're operating in self

[52:22] leadership it's your

[52:25] choice so he was full of the Holy Ghost

[53:46] any I struggle with doubt and fear for

[53:50] God ha not given us the spirit of fear

[53:53] but of power and of love and of a sound

[53:55] mind well I struggle with anxiety be

[54:01] prayer and supplication with

[54:02] Thanksgiving let your requests be made

[54:09] this temptation and I struggle with that

[54:11] Temptation there's the word of God to

[54:14] help and the holy spirit's strength to

[54:26] scripture as you want to

[54:31] know you can't blame God because you

[54:35] don't know where it's at in the

[54:40] word tells us study to show thyself

[54:42] approved unto God a Workman that needeth

[54:48] Truth now if you need help we'll help

[54:51] you we can help you find it we'll help

[54:57] it's in there God did not one person

[55:50] trauma from my past there's scripture in

[55:54] there for that

[55:58] the holy spirit is called the par of

[56:00] clay TOS he's the one who comes

[56:01] alongside and

[56:03] helps the word of God is the

[56:06] medicine that God uses to help

[56:11] people see I I I I give into the

[56:14] temptation of doubt I give into the

[56:15] temptation of fear I give into the

[56:17] temptation to get angry because people

[56:19] make me

[56:21] angry the Bible says be angry and sin no

[56:28] you got to figure out why you get so

[56:31] angry it's probably because of unmet

[56:34] Rights and unmet

[56:36] expectations you think you got rights

[56:39] that you deserve from people and you got

[56:41] expectations of how people ought to do

[56:42] things and when they don't it gets you

[56:46] angry you know what that's called

[56:50] Pride you got a eye problem Capital eye

[56:54] problem I wanted to go this way I think

[56:57] I think I well no you're the

[56:59] problem that's why you get angry so

[57:03] much there's only one side and it's your

[57:06] side and everybody else is

[57:08] wrong that's not

[57:11] right maybe it's an anger problem maybe

[57:14] it's a lust problem maybe it's a

[57:16] Temptation for all sorts of different

[57:19] things maybe it's the what if Temptation

[57:21] well what if I had that or what if I had

[57:23] that it'd be so much better if I had

[57:25] that man if if I was in that family or

[57:27] if I was married to that person or if I

[57:29] had this or if I had that or if I just

[57:31] had more money if I just had more money

[57:34] I'd be a happy

[57:40] person it's not

[57:43] true the word of God tells you how to

[57:45] deal with

[57:48] that first Peter 5'8 be sober be

[57:52] vigilant because your adversary the

[57:53] devil as a roaring lion walketh about

[57:55] seeking whom he made out you can't see

[57:58] it right now but there's a lion in the

[58:00] room he's pacing

[58:02] around looking whom he may

[58:05] devour looking for

[58:08] opportuni to devour you in

[58:11] discouragement and lust in all sorts of

[58:17] looking lions especially the walking

[58:21] lion is looking for those who are slow

[64:02] chemo um but the last three or four days

[64:07] uh brother Joe cases dementia has

[64:12] Amplified and it's not been good the

[64:14] last few days so they have a a new

[64:17] neurologist app me he's on medication to

[64:19] help kind of slow that and so he's had

[64:22] some really really tough days the last

[64:24] few days with that that so be in prayer

[64:27] uh for that uh if you would we greatly

[64:30] appreciate that as well I continue to

[64:32] pray for Brother Rick Franklin as he's

[64:34] recuperating from need replacement

[64:36] surgery talked with him today we ask

[64:39] that you continue to pray for him pain

[64:42] management is an issue there so really

[64:45] really pray U for some wisdom and

[64:47] discernment for that and we appreciate

[64:50] that next week my mom is having knee

[64:53] replacement surgery on her right knee

[64:56] and so be in prayer for that on the 23rd

[64:59] she'll be having knee replacement

[65:00] surgery on her right knee and I believe

[65:03] they've got her left knee scheduled in

[65:05] May she's having to have both knees done

[65:08] so be in prayer for my mom and then also

[65:10] pray for my dad because you know how it

[65:13] is when Mom's down everything else gets

[65:16] affected so so pray pray for her and

[65:20] pray for him and their church as she has

[65:23] that surgery next week and then and um

[65:26] many other prayer requests continue to

[65:28] pray for the windborn family and

[65:30] everything they're dealing with uh with

[65:32] their health issues she did get a good

[65:35] report and did get cleared uh from the

[65:38] surgery so she does not have the

[65:40] restrictions still battling uh some of

[65:42] the other infection things but she is

[65:45] doing much better on some of those other

[65:48] things there pray for Wy over here Wy

[65:53] had surgery and uh re attach some things

[65:56] rework some things and so uh pray for

[65:59] him uh to recover from that and that

[66:02] it'll be a quick recovery and a full

[66:05] recovery and so pray for brother Wy as

[66:07] he's recovering from foot surgery that

[66:10] he had this week and then uh pray if you

[66:13] would for Allan and Susan Pierce that

[66:17] name may sound familiar to some of you

[66:19] uh The Pierces were the pastor that I

[66:21] worked for in Indiana uh his wife Susan

[66:25] um it looks like she has been diagnosed

[66:27] with cancer again she had

[66:30] cancer 25 30 years ago now and so um she

[66:35] has cancer that's come back so they're

[66:38] getting her tested on that so pray for

[66:40] her and the church family there they

[66:43] just had a second grandbaby born uh just

[66:46] a few weeks ago so pray for the family

[66:49] pray for that church as well we greatly

[66:52] appreciate you praying for that any

[70:08] and a lot of folks have family members

[70:09] continue to pray for Robbie Robbie has

[70:12] been sick with this chest cold stuff um

[70:15] all last week started last Wednesday now

[70:19] it's she's still dealing with that so

[70:21] pray for her as uh she do she's not a

[70:24] good patient some sometimes and so pray

[70:27] for her she'll tell you the same thing

[70:29] I'm not saying anything she wouldn't

[70:30] tell you she just don't like being in

[70:32] her house she gets tired of the four

[70:34] walls in the TV I talked to her today

[70:36] and she said I'm tired of these four

[70:37] walls in TV I said well you got your

[70:39] Bible go on an

[70:40] adventure and so go read your Bible and

[70:43] find something in there so she was

[70:45] encouraged by that and so but be in

[70:47] prayer for all the upcoming events pray

[70:49] for this Saturday our men's prayer

[70:51] breakfast and uh all the exciting things

[70:54] going on with prayer breakfast this

[70:56] coming Saturday ladies this coming

[70:58] Saturday 2 o00 is a baby shower for

[71:01] emberlin and her daughter so be in

[71:03] prayer for that you guys got that

[71:05] graphic ready to go for the uh prayer

[71:08] Focus for the month of January is the

[71:11] city council the eleno city council and

[71:15] so be in prayer for them and uh if you

[71:18] want to go on to their website you can

[71:19] go on the city council's website has all

[71:21] their pictures and names and so I'd

[71:24] encourage you to pray for them uh they

[71:27] need it uh they had a rough week last

[71:29] week and so but be in prayer for them as

[71:33] they make decisions and trying to do

[71:35] things a lot of exciting things

[71:37] happening in our community a lot of U

[71:40] advancements happening so be in prayer

[71:42] for that uh I'd encourage you to pray

[71:45] about Outreach and

[71:47] visitation uh a lot of opportunities a

[71:50] lot of people moving into our literal

[71:52] backyard and our side yard

[71:55] uh if you were here uh eight years ago

[71:59] uh you could have looked out of the

[72:01] church parking lot and all you would

[72:03] have saw was the rins baseball field

[72:06] Green Grass and

[72:07] trees now you look out there's homes all

[72:10] back there they're building new homes

[72:11] behind Walmart they've got new homes

[72:14] filling up in Crimson Creek and there's

[72:16] talk of more subdivisions coming in so

[72:18] be in prayer for all that a lot of

[72:21] growth in our city but remember every

[72:23] house that goes up has Souls that need

[72:29] Jesus and last time I checked I think

[72:32] we're the only ones that are going out

[72:35] with the gospel consistently and so I

[72:38] encourage you to pray for outreach and

[72:41] uh if you say well I can't come out

[72:42] Saturdays but I'd like to be involved

[72:44] see me we've got some ways you can do

[72:46] that and so I encourage you to be in

[72:48] prayer for that and opportunities that

[72:51] are there all right so let's have a word

[72:53] of prayer again praying for the El read

[72:55] city council uh if you're on social

[72:57] media that is on our church Pages as

[73:00] well and so you can pray for that as

[73:02] well and share that that'll be an

[73:04] encouragement to them that you are

[73:05] praying for them so that's the whole

[73:07] month of January uh we'll be praying for

[73:10] the eleno city council and then every

[73:12] month we'll have a different one and so

[73:15] we'll take time every month I felt after

[73:18] last year uh just having it for a week

[73:22] wasn't enough praying and so the Lord

[73:24] pressed upon my heart to do it a month

[73:26] at a time so we'll do it for a whole

[73:28] month and we want to encourage you to

[73:29] pray on purpose with a purpose and so

[73:32] I'd encourage you to do that so let's

[73:33] have a word of prayer tonight and then

[73:35] brother Samuel will come and lead us in

[73:36] our dismissal

[73:38] song Lord we're

[73:40] thankful that just like you we can

[73:44] operate fully under the leadership of

[73:46] the holy spirit in our lives and we can

[73:48] have knowledge of the scripture to help

[73:50] us defeat Temptation and Lord there are

[73:53] many many prayer

[73:56] requests Lord we could spend great

[73:59] amount of time

[74:02] tonight praying over those requests and

[74:04] tonight I pray you'd help us before we

[74:06] go to bed to take some extra time and

[74:09] pray for the

[74:10] request we pray especially for those

[74:13] that are dealing with surgery recoveries

[74:16] and uh healing up from surgeries the the

[74:20] ones that have uh battling cancer and uh

[74:25] dementia and alimer Lord I pray you'd

[74:28] help each and every one of those needs

[74:30] Lord we give you honor and glory for all

[74:32] that you've done for us and we're

[74:34] thankful for the good report we heard

[74:36] for brother Kanan and the opportunity to

[74:38] plant churches in Oregon Lord I pray you

[74:41] continue to use him there thankful for

[74:43] what you've done in his life and Lord I

[74:45] pray that you just give us a great night

[74:55] about 45 minutes and he was asking how's

[75:05] pray for them pray for Kanan Staley and

[75:08] Miss Hannah and one little one with

[75:11] another one on the way and so be in
